  1. You'd think he was the MVP of the game given the knee-pad treatment he received from the announcers.
  2. Given his history with the referees you would think that Hughes would have the good sense to stay away from that situation given the circumstances. You knew he would be flagged as soon as he approached the pile.
  3. Yes, I know and was going to edit my post but you beat me to it. I'll spare TBD the sermon I give to my 21, 20, and 17 year-old kids on a daily basis regarding how the smartphone has ruined our society...
  4. Social media is a major contributor to the decline of Western civilization. Steve Jobs is hailed as a hero, I disagree. Mods, I apologize in advance for the rant.
  5. I'll have to watch it again but saw Hughes mill around the periphery of the scrum then reach into the pile. I knew he was going to get flagged. It looked like he threw several punches but I could be wrong.
  6. Thanks Shaw, I always look forward to your Rockpile reviews, and thank you for putting the game in proper prospective. I intentionally stayed away from TBD until now because I experienced all the negative emotions you expressed in the second paragraph of your post.
  7. Jeez, I was not aware (and feel like a dumbass). RIP Tony.
  8. never understood why these guys don't take the shades off for interviews.
  9. I attended the game with my dad. We decided to get tickets at the last minute because it was blacked out. Even Bills fans became complacent/spoiled at the end of a good run...
  10. Reminds me of the '96 wild card game against the Jaguars. My father and I decided to go at the last minute and were able to get decent tickets because the game wasn't sold out.
  11. To quote "the Tuna" (Parcells for those who don't get the reference), "Defense wins championships."
  12. Yup, was there with my father for many of them. We lived in OP. He'd get home from church at 12:20pm, we'd leave the house at 12:30, park in the Pellien lot on California Road and still be in our seats before kickoff because there were no lines at the gates.
  13. I lived in the Boston area for over 10 years and attended a few games at Foxboro and Gillette during that period. The first were in the pre-Brady/Belichik era and the stadium was half-empty as others have said. The last game was probably 7-8 years ago (the game Brandon Spikes knocked out Freddie with a cheap shot to the head). I received dirty looks at each but nothing as overtly aggressive as the OP describes. I attribute that to the Bills not being seen as a threat - more like "aw, how cute a Bills fan." The Massholes now see the end is near and are acting out.
  14. My Pats*** bride did the same thing. I told her not to expect me to be social because I'm watching the game.
  15. If they prepared for "Renegade" last week you have to think they're preparing to be screwed on a few calls this week.
  16. My son goes to CU and I have watched a fair amount of their games the past two years. Shenault definitely has talent. He was touted as a Heisman Trophy candidate last year (fall 2018 season) until he missed some games due to injury. He was not the same after he returned. I believe he was injured again this year which isn't a good trend.
  17. "Why the hat Josh?" "I thought I could pull off a mullet like yours but it didn't work out."
  18. Wait, I thought they were the best defense in the history of the NFL...
  19. I haven't listened to Stern in a long time. Is High Pitch still there?
  20. Thanks Virgil, great synopsis as usual.
  21. ^This. Gore will pay off in spades in the playoffs.
