  1. If Hogan can do it Diggs certainly can.
  2. Diggs is going to school Gilmore.
  3. Queue a career day by Jakobi Meyers.
  4. My family moved from Dallas to OP in 1974. I never looked back, though the Cowboys remained my 2nd favorite team until they screwed over Tom Landry. We lived several miles from Rich Stadium and if the wind was blowing just right could hear the announcer sporadically while in the back yard. Like others in previous posts, I listened to Van Miller call the games on the radio when the games weren't televised. My dad had tickets to a Sabres game the day of the Gary Marangi game against the Dolphins. We listened to the game on the radio on the way to the Aud and I remember the crowd groaning when the Sabres' announcer relayed the final score of the game.
  5. NFL should either return to leather helmets or the single bar on the face mask to reduce the violent hits, if that is what they are trying to do. However, that would take a generation to implement, starting with Pee Wee leagues.
  6. I don't need to watch and that is a great call - the Ronnie Harmon game.
  7. All the time here in CT, though it usually leads to a quick conversation (like, "what's up with the defense?"). It's like the Jeep wave of the past, before soccer moms started driving 4 door Wranglers.
  8. Steelers/Titans here. You'd think they'd show the Jests since half of CT is basically a suburb of NYC.
  9. Initiating this thread took much longer than I thought...
  10. Belichick's strategy in Super Bowl XXV, albeit the Giants' secondary was much more physical with the Bills' receivers that the Bills were against KC.
  11. Thanks for posting this, OP. It appeared the defense finally had some "juice" (as Norman calls it) on the KC offensive series where Zimmer caused the fumble- that-wasn't. Guys were swarming for the first few plays, then came the penalties to White and Poyer and that was it - back to the tentative, passive defense we have seen all year.
  12. Agreed, he was the best RB the Bills had last week against the Titans.
  13. I miss the "Daboll is a hot candidate for head coach" threads.
  14. Make their defense play 16 games against Earl Campbell in his prime.
  15. I agree. I completely forgot his number and took note of how #21 was making plays all over the field on Sunday. Senior moment 😏
  16. Nice writeup, thanks for taking the time to put this together! I look forward to more of these in the future.
  17. ^ this. I am enjoying this season to the fullest. My dad and I decided on a whim to attend the playoff game against the Jaguars in 1996 (that signaled the end of the Kelly-era Bills) because it didn't sell out. We went to Rich Stadium without tickets and got decent seats via the ticket office. We didn't even have to wait in line to buy tickets. We, like many Bills fans, became complacent toward the end of that era as we always expected the Bills to win. I have been going to the same establishment to watch the Bills games for the past 8 years or so and people there are genuinely happy to see the Bills doing well. There is always someone who mentions the 4 Super Bowls at some point during the season and I always shrug it off and say "this is the year!" Last Sunday it was the resident obnoxious Raiders fan. By the end of the game he was giving props to Allen and the rest of the offense. Enjoy the ride!
  18. I read that article last night, good read.
  19. I was there also. I particularly enjoyed Raiders fans streaming out of the stadium at halftime.
  20. It kills me to say it but that is why a certain QB wasn't drafted until the 6th round.
  21. Damn were those years fun! @NedFlanders - thanks for posting the video, it brought back a lot of memories. Biscuit, Bruce, Talley, Kenneth Davis, Leonard Smith etc. That team was loaded. The reference to Rick Dennison was good for a laugh too.
  22. "White hat was right! White hat was right!"
  23. Great point @BullBuchanan. I am a big Allen fan but think the coaching staff put him in situations today that did not play to his strong suits. Probably the result of good coaching by the Rams' staff but something to watch going forward.
  24. Nice win, however... the Rams affirmed the book on Allen - put pressure on him and he makes mistakes. Add to that, the offensive calls in the 2nd half (pun intended) left much to be desired. Early in the 2nd half they showed a stat regarding the past 4 Bills drives. All were scoring drives of over 60 yards which begged for the Bills to run the ball or execute screen passes as the Rams defense was likely tired. Why did they constantly line up with an empty backfield? What happened to Yeldon?
  25. Having Allen continually drop back against a pass rush that was increasingly disruptive was questionable to say the least.
