  1. That's awesome, thanks for posting Beast! I haven't lived in WNY since 1988 and that brought back some great memories.
  2. Thanks for sharing this OP. When I was a kid back in the 70s I loved reading books on the NFL - those you could buy at your school's book fair when you had to order using the paper form you had to turn back in to your teacher. Floyd Little was one of the many players documented in those books who is, or will soon be, no longer with us.
  3. Lots of great names listed so far. I have to go with Bobby Chandler on offense and Tony Greene on D (with #57 Lucius Sanford a close second).
  4. Just cleaned the gutters for the 3rd time this fall (damn oak trees). Now heading out to put up the Christmas lights.
  5. You got me beat
  6. To quote my 89 year-old mother - who raised a family in OP but could care less about the Bills - "it was a good game, the other team just made a great play at the end."
  7. Yes. My friends and I used to yell "Marv Bateman!" every time one of us shanked a punt playing backyard ball.
  8. Are you old enough to remember Marv Bateman?
  9. ^this. Thanks for another great writeup, Virgil and for taking the torch from NYC Bill over the past few seasons. I intentionally held off on reading "A Few Thoughts..." and the ROCKPILE Review until this afternoon and you captured my thoughts on the game perfectly. Keep 'em coming!
  10. ^ this. The book on Murray is that he is less effective when pressured so giving him all day to throw was not a good defensive call. That said, knock the damn ball down!
  11. What will they be saying after the Fish lose to the Chargers?
  12. Kenneth Davis with Roland Hooks a close second.
  13. Great video, I watched it several times earlier today. I couldn't make out what Zimmer says that made everyone go crazy. Any translations? It sounded like "I love you guys."
  14. Thanks Virgil. I look forward to your "thoughts" every week. Adding to point #2, I'm really impressed with Singletary's blocking. He leveled one of the Pats*** DL on one of Moss' bigger gains and consistently picks up the blitz.
  15. True. Zolak, their radio color guy must have been hilarious. He is insufferable.
  16. I listened to the Pats*** post-game show on the the way home from watching the game at a local eating and drinking establishment. The comments were glorious. The hosts were apoplectic and callers were calling for Belichik to be fired and for the Pats*** to tank their remaining games so they can get a quarterback in next years' draft.
  17. As I said in another thread, Allen has not looked the same since he injured his shoulder. I wonder if he is playing hurt.
  18. True, however the offense in general does not look good. Allen hasn't been the same since he injured his shoulder and the receivers are not getting open (aside from the Davis drop in the end zone). Plus, on 3rd down the receivers are consistently running routes short of the first down marker and have been for several weeks.
  19. Because he gets tackled on the majority of passing plays.
  20. If I remember correctly Poyer had a rough game against the Texans in the playoffs last season. Its a good thing they didn't move on from him this year given how he is playing. I agree with others that he and Hyde remain one of the best safety tandems in the league and expect that to continue.
  21. With Moss back on the field I'd love to see Gilmore have to make a "business decision".
  22. I just can't see this happening. With Brady and Edelman, the Pats*** would screen the Bills to death and then run it down our throats or Gronk would have a field day. Who do they have that will make the Bills respect the pass? Bills 30-10
