Thanks for mentioning the "Embedded" video OP. I watched it earlier this afternoon and recommend it for those who haven't seen it yet. I was struck by two things: 1. how psyched Beane, Shein, and McDermott were they were able to grab Basham and 2. the clip where everyone was goofing around in the draft room eating treats that Kim Pegula made. She sees McDermott on the side of the room and asks him if he is eating ice cream. With not a trace of humor he says, "no, Raisin Bran." They then show Beane who laughs and says "I try to get Sean to live 2 days a year." The man is all business.

RIP Rick. For some reason my dad preferred to watch Channel 2 with Ed Kilgore. Before remote control devices existed (yes there was such a time for the younger members of the board), I would get up and change the channel to Channel 7 after the weather to watch Rick. More often than not my father didn't feel like getting up to change the channel so we watched Rick's broadcast. He was fantastic.

Agreed, however as many have said on different threads, there may have been a different outcome had the referees called a tight game like they did the in Superbowl.

I watched the much-hyped USC vs UCLA game when Rosen and Darnold were Seniors and came away unimpressed by either.

I agree with what others have said, the turning point was before the game, when the referees made the decision to call PI/defensive holding against a Chiefs' secondary that had been getting away with it all season.

He seems to be a great teammate as well. Did anyone else notice he made a beeline for Diggs toward the end of the KC game and kept him from doing something he would regret?

Thanks for posting this, worth taking the 18+ minutes to watch. As the previous poster said, Thurman ran wild. I was also struck by how much more physical the game seemed than today's NFL - many of the hits on receivers would be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness (can't remember the penalty) today.

I have a soon-to-be 21 year-old daughter who drops the F-bomb quite often. I always point out that it makes her sound unintelligent since there are many other words that can be used to express an emotion. After TJ got to the end zone and I saw that there were no flags thrown on the return I screamed "F#*K YEAH!" I then looked at her and said "that is an appropriate time to drop the F-bomb."

"Disregard my nervousness, please ignore my vacant stares." Someone on the Bills defense is going to get a pick-six and the Bills run away with the game after that.

Same here. Start the morning with my Bills coffee mug (with the logo completely washed off) followed by cracking the first beer around an hour before the game and drinking it out of my Menemsha Blues pint glass.

Could we potentially see #44 (Matakevich) on some downs? I know it was only one half of action but he was all over the field on Sunday hitting anything that moved.
