  1. It was my fault. When leaving the house to watch the game at the local watering hole I realized I had locked my wife and myself out of the house. My frantic checking of all doors and downstairs windows caused me to be late to the bar and miss the opening kickoff. I arrived just in time to see the 3 and out after McKenzie's return.
  2. ^this. It was frustrating watching the later games and seeing less-potent offenses (aka Chicago) keep a talented, aggressive defense from teeing off on the QB by executing screens and swing passes to the RB coming out of the backfield. Isn't that the primary reason the Bills signed Brieda?
  3. As I said in the other thread on the same topic... Beane: do that again and you'll be a candidate for the Texans head coach position this year rather than next.
  4. Not a specific play but no running game, or even play action, was the difference.

  6. Sunday can't get her soon enough, bring on the Steelers 😀
  7. I picked up Bell last night and just picked up the other guy. Early reports are that Bell is "learning the system" so I will probably start the other guy (Ty'Son Williams)
  8. Sorry to hear about your mom. My father in law has dementia and as Polish Dave says above, it has been stressful on my wife and mother in law. I grew up in OP and am partial to that town. If I were to move back would either live there or East Aurora, which used to be a bit more low-key (not sure if that is still true).
  9. I believe I recently saw a writeup/analysis from him on the Ravens. Perhaps that is his next gig?
  10. Perhaps because nobody watches professional basketball anymore.
  11. I always look forward to your Thoughts (as well as the Rockpile Review) and the calm, analytical manner in which you and Shaw summarize each game. Opening day can't come soon enough!
  12. My son graduated from CU in May and when in Boulder I saw that Alfalfa's had closed since I was there in early 2020. Not sure if it was a Covid victim or closed for some other reason.
  13. Congrats Alphadawg, you're going to have a great weekend! I grew up in OP but haven't lived in God's country for over 30 years so I can't really make restaurant recommendations other than to agree with those who said to get a beef on weck sandwich. That is a Buffalo specialty you can't find elsewhere (at least a good one). My wife was a vegetarian at one point but always made an exception and had beef on weck when we visited Buffalo.
  14. Randy Smith was my favorite Brave as a kid. I was ecstatic when he won the MVP at the NBA all star game (don't remember the year).
  15. Agree with most here regarding Kelly and Perrault. Don't follow baseball so can't really venture a guess there. McAdoo or Adrian Dantley for basketball.
  16. There is a misconception that Miami is a lower-level party school. My youngest daughter graduated from high school this year and looked at Miami. The acceptance rate is around 30%.
  17. Always liked him as a player and person but his injury history is less than ideal. I have some really good friends who live in Dallas and know Rex personally from their church and say he is an exemplary person and role model.
  18. Though not a play, I'd add Thurman not being able to locate his helmet against the Redskins.
