Allen and Jaquan Johnson. Honorable mention Knox and Davis. When at least one of these two guys go off we tend to win big. They both came into the season with sky high expectations. They've each had their moments this season. But the bottom line is the production has not met the expectations.

Davis has proven to be a great #3 option. But he might not be a great #2. Especially when our passing game to the TE's is also nonexistent. Davis has always been at his best when he is the third option. Beasely was able to take pressure off him before. Would be nice if Knox could develop into that guy but so far he hasn't.

The NFL Head Coaching pipeline... running dry?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's probably a year too early but I could see Dorsey being a legit candidate. He knows the culture of one of the top organizations in the league. Learned under Daboll. And Daboll has proven (in the short term) to be able to take his system and what he learned from the Bills organization to another team and have success. I love what both the Bills and Giants have done, bringing in the head coach and GM from the same organization. I think that is the model to follow. So maybe when looking at potential head coaching candidates we also need to look at GM candidates from the same team. And which teams will have both GM and head coach openings? Frazier deserves a look but his age is a factor against him at this point. -
Predict The Score! Bills vs. Jets, W9…
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
18-6 Bills People are going to be freaking out. But another double digit win. I just see the Jets defense having a good game. -
Diggs on track for record breaking season
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs is definitely the better all around receiver. But not necessarily the better WR overall. Hill's speed just sets him apart from every WR. What Hill is doing is amazing. People weren't quite sure what he would do without Mahomes. He's proving how great he really is this year. -
Do you see the Josh Allen era Bills as having a "window"?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
That thinking might be a disservice to Josh's mental capacity to play the position and his arm talent. But could be true if he eventually gets to a point where he can't even get out of bed in the mornings. Then it wouldn't matter if he still has the arm and mental aspects of the game. It would be nice if the Bills could win the Super Bowl this year because then I think Allen may dial back a lot of his runs and start avoiding hits and sliding on all of them. He's been quoted as saying right now he just wants to win so badly he will do anything. So win one now and then Allen can take a deep breath and start preserving himself for the long haul. -
Ravens WR Rashod Bateman done for the year - foot surgery

More and more I think it is Lamar. He's a good player but I think ultimately he has too many flaws in his game. -
Jets DE talking trash about Josh Allen
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to smuvtalker's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone says they (QB's) all due it. I actually think there is one QB that doesn't do it and it's one of the biggest problems in his game. I'm thinking about Justin Herbert. There are a lot of things to like about Herbert's game but his lack of outwardly competitive fire, things like this included is a problem IMO. -
Yep. The dolphins roster when fully healthy and on offense in particular is one of the best rosters in the conference. Quarterback is still a disadvantage with Tua but he is certainly capable of getting the ball to the playmakers most days. There’s no excuse for the Dolphins to not make the playoffs this year.

Allen’s QBR last night was 83.6
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don't know the specifics of QBR. But we know that it factors in things like score and down and distance when passes or plays by the QB are made. Throwing 2 ints when you are up big in a three score game in the second half are not weighted the same as if those two INTs came in the first half with the game tied. Logically that makes some sense. Allen threw two inconsequential INT's. The grey area is how much less do you actually weigh them as compared to throwing picks in a one score game. Early in the first half on the Bills first scoring drive i believe, Allen had two plays that most QB's wouldn't/couldn't make. The long run on 3rd down to set up the TD and the actual TD pass to Knox. Both those plays were likely graded very high. Just my two cents. I do agree the 83 QBR doesn't really pass the eye test. It's like when Allen gets a 56 QBR in game where he has 3 TD's and 0 INTs and a passer rating over 105. But the bottom line is both QBR and passer rating by themselves can often be misleading. But still I tend to find QBR more times than not matches what my eyes see vs. the standard passer rating metric. -

He's waiting to propose when they win the super bowl on the field is my only guess. They've been together a long time.

Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's a .750 win percentage so while close to the quoted stats something is still missing. I think they are these games and they include the playoffs. 8-3 equals the quoted .727 win percentage. Didn't Allen grow up a Patriots/Brady fan? -
Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm curious what they count as primetime games. Are they including post season here? Pro football reference has him with a 6-3 record in primetime games which is under the minimum of 10 games in the quoted stat. And a passer rating of 105.3, below the quoted 108.6 Pro football reference is using 7pm or later kickoffs as primetime games. -

Good lord. Bills defense would feast on those QB's. And the Bucs game I think they were without all their WR's. They were playing Cole Beasley off the street. -

Bills release new stadium renderings

Those buffaloes alone got to be a $100 million apiece. But money well spent in my opinion. They are massive! -
Thanks for sharing this. It was looking really good as I was tallying the covers until I got to SF, Hou and LAC. You're 5-5 this week with NE set to be the tie breaker. NE -8 (Wed Line) is my stone cold lock of the week. But I would take them at whatever the line is now too. Bears are going to be very hard pressed to get to double digits in this game is my thinking. On the plus side you would also have a shot at a 4-1 week pending tomorrow's result if you took the first 5 games in order of quality. That is good to know for super contest picking.
