well now we can all get back on that no MVP has won the super bowl in 20 years bandwagon. Go Mahomes Go!

a sweep in the endzone? No thanks. This is at least a lot better than the poster who suggested the RB sweep. Still, I've seen plenty of teams do a sneak in that situation and none ever ending in a safety or let alone a TD for the other team. I have no problem with the play call.

The Josh Allen Performance Thread

That has me thinking. Now that we have Hines we need to be running 21 personnel or 12 personnel. Whichever one has the two RB sets. Give Allen multiple check down options on every play. Heck even go two RB's jumbo package with an extra tackle. Limit his natural desire to make a big play until he starts taking the check down again. Reference to the 13 seconds last postseason and assumed Bills lombardi trophy. -

To be fair, they aren't even engaged right? I mean, lots of Women are known to at least want a ring on it. Especially when they have been together as long as they have. I could see how it could actually be a thing is all I'm saying. But not necessarily a big thing. -

Brittany wants a ring, but Allen wants to wait to win the Superbowl. It's all McDermott's fault for not being able to put this to rest last postseason. -
Most weeks i would agree but McKenzie did contribute this week both in receiving and rushing. As did both Davis and Knox. Any complaints against their usage this week are off base. This game was not about other players besides Allen not stepping up. It was about Allen making crucial mistakes at crucial times and the coaching staff blowing it.
-
Heck we don't even have to win the game. A tie would have suited me just fine. I was curious how aggressive the play calling would get. It appeared they wanted to take 3 endzone shots and then kick a FG if that didn't work out. At least that is what Allen had in mind. Which is basically be super aggressive and then conservative.
-
McKenzie had a good game today. And both Hines and Shakir did contribute on offense today. For this game, those can't be actual complaints. This game was about Alle doing dumb things which has become a trend these last few weeks and the coaching staff being too aggressive.
-
the QB sneak? What else do you do there? A handoff is far worst and pass worse than that if you get a hold in the endzone. You can't take a safety there only up 3 with 40 seconds left.
-
How many second half turnovers does Allen have in those three games too though?
-
They've over corrected to being TOO aggressive. I like that they are aggressive, but they got to pick their spots. Today was terrible with passing up the FG in regulation and then going for the kill on back-to-back pass attempts from outside the 20 on 1st and 2nd down. What was their plan there? Take three endzone shots and kick a FG? I imagine they thought their best chance of getting a TD was to catch the Vikings by surprise not expecting us to take end zone shots there? Just too aggressive though. Allen also has to make better decisions. I'm sure there were better places to go with the ball on both of his final two attempts. Some of it is also play calling maybe too there but on Allen as well.

NFL Week #10 - Vikings at Bills - 1st half game thread

here’s your tv map OP.

I liked Vikings at +3.5 Love them at +6.5. This should be a close game. Allen or no Allen. If Allen does start my prediction is a career high in rushing attempts for him.

Should the Bills re-sign Ed Oliver?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think it is wise to pay him and hope to find out next season though. Maybe he can elevate his game in the second half of the season and a postseason run. -
Should the Bills re-sign Ed Oliver?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
? the stats don't really back that up. First three season they had the same amount of TFL and Williams had 3.5 more sacks. Williams played in 41 games vs 49 for Oliver in each players first three seasons. It appears Oliver has been more available than Williams up to this season but that's gone out the window now with Oliver missing 4 games. When Williams has been on the field he's clearly been more productive. -

Chris Jones? -
Good question. We asked my brother the same thing. Allen’s cousin was wearing an Allentown shirt. I have the exact same shirt actually. so natural Bills conversation started. keep in mind. Out here in California if you come across anyone wearing Bills gear conversation always follows. It’s not like western New York.
-
I haven't read through any of this 112 page thread but I am about to be one of "those guys". My brother lives in SLO county in California and ran into Allen's cousin at the local Costco. According to Allen's cousin, Allen is out for at least two weeks, possibly three. Take it for what it's worth. Even if this information was from an even closer relative like his brother or father I would realize that things can always change rapidly for the better or worst with an injury. I do believe the injury is day to day, not so much hour to hour like McDermott said, so things could change and maybe he only ends up missing one game. If there is an ounce of credibility in what my brother was told there would seem to be zero chance Allen suits up tomorrow.
-
That's not a hot take. I also lean Vikings no matter who plays at QB for us tomorrow. I'd also be curious if teams are starting to realize that it's better to have players closer to 90% than put guys out there that are less than 80%. It's always been just play through injuries in the past. Maybe teams realize now it's better in the long-term to actually let these injuries heal up. Factor in the 17 game season and soon to be 18 game season plus the additional wild card seed and there is less urgency to get players back out there immediately.

Agreed. I recall a poster being flamed in the off-season because they had said we had been relatively healthy these last couple of seasons. And I agreed with that. Yeah we lost Tre white but look at this year we’ve still been missing White for half the season and we have a ton of other injuries at important positions.
