  1. JA will get us to the playoffs every year. I’m not concerned about that. But the ante is upped in the playoffs. JA has to be better than Burrow and Mahomes now. The bar isn’t set at Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley. Allen had a critical turnover that gave Miami 7 points. Same mistakes could cost us against the best competition.
  2. Offensive miscues, yes. Defensively, we were bailed out a fair amount. Miami had just as many or perhaps more big drops and offensive miscues as the Bills.
  3. I’m seeing Bills -4.5 on Bovada now. That is crazy. We just beat the Dolphins 7th round rookie QB by 3 points.
  4. That wasn’t my quote.
  5. I really think it was Huntley who went rogue on that QB sneak play. But Roman may get fired for other reasons.
  6. they’ve actually impressed me tonight. They should have at least 20 or 24 points. They have outplayed the Bengals offense with all their weapons.
  7. Huntley just single hand-idly made our road to the Super Bowl infinitely harder. Unbelievable. what ever the Ravens secondary is doing tonight I hope Frazier is paying attention. Bengals were getting ready to our secondary a new one before the MNF was called.
  8. this is what I am thinking. You wouldn’t design the play to have multiple players pushing him in the back while he goes over the top. Huntley improvised. Total failure on his part.
  9. Terrible play call. You have to be a yard or half yard away to run that play with the QB. Especially a smallish QB. Ravens try to get cute on first down too with the pass.
  10. Fans knew Hodgins could play though. I don’t recall what the fan sentiment was on Teller when he was here. Was he a guy that just turned a corner once he left?
  11. Because Kumerow. And that was a big mistake in hindsight.
  12. He looks good. Even when he gets flustered and scrambles behind the line he never seems to make a bad play. He either finds a check down or throws it away. Of course the Shanhanan system is one of the most QB friendly out there. We will see how Brock looks when they need to rely on him for 40 attempts. But right now he's only having to drop back about 25-30 times a game.
  13. Jags receivers were getting mugged quite a bit too though so they kind of cancel out.
  14. So sorry DaggersEOD. RIP.
  15. My brother got married last year AT the Bills/Miami on Halloween so could just kill two birds with one stone.
  16. I like the randomness of it.
  17. Yep. It all started with me back in August 2014 as I recall.
  18. Carr, Jimmy G, and Brady assuming Brady plays, have to think the three of them end up in some combination of Miami, NY Jets, and Las Vegas. We know one for sure won't be in Las Vegas. It does feel like if the Ravens move off of Lamar he will end up with one of those three teams as well. Ravens on the surface feel like not that great a destination for a QB but they are by far the best run franchise out of Jets, Miami, Las Vegas and Baltimore.
  19. I actually think the Cousins contract has been good for both sides. But that is because the years on the guaranteed contracts have been short. The first one was 3 years, then 2 years and now 1 year. Neither party is committing long-term. The Vikings have willfully signed back up for Cousins to be there QB even after the original 3 year guaranteed deal ran out in 2020 so they must like what they are getting in return. My prediction was always that Lamar would be franchised tagged and get the similar treatment that Washington and Dallas gave Cousins and Dak respectively. But I thought he would be a Raven if he were franchise tagged. Now I'm not so sure he stays a Raven. But since he is set to be a FA this offseason, I guess the only way the Ravens can get something back in a trade would be if they franchise tag him.
  20. Carr > Lamar when you factor in availability. And I'm not that big on Carr.
  21. This makes sense. I mean, if Miami lost a draft pick over last year’s, Tom Brady tampering they sure as heck better make sure they finish the deal this off-season. Otherwise they lost the first round pick for nothing.
  22. and many would still play, even if they were paid hardly anything. That’s the way I’ve always personally felt about the sport. Times are changing though, and it does seem like the league needs to take steps to protect the players from themselves.
  23. Will be interesting where Diggs lands in the AP voting. Four receivers are deserving but there are only 3 first team spots for WR.
  24. it’s all right. We like spraining news and ideas around here.
