  1. They have to have a high level back up. They gave up too much for Hill to not have a quality QB behind Tua. Carr won't go there unless he is told he can be the starter. Jimmy G is probably most likely at this point.
  2. Zero percent chance San Fran happens with the way Purdy is playing. Even a meltdown against Dallas or Philly and they would still ride him into next season. Vegas and Miami both do make a lot of sense. I question if Brady wants to play for McDaniel though in Miami.l I can see him wanting to play for McDaniels in Vegas.
  3. They have to essentially replace Tua with ANYBODY. The guys is a total liability. They better have a viable option as a back up or starter to compete with Tua. They could double down on Skylar and Tua. Probably not wise though.
  4. I like the exploding football concept filled with ink.
  5. There were huge parts of the field that were shaded too that made it very difficult to see. With a later start time i think we will have less issues with that.
  6. It really tarnishes nothing. They'll both be in the HOF and Brady will likely forever be the GOAT. Cheating, steroid use especially is really not taboo in the NFL like it is in baseball. Get caught with PED's in baseball and kiss your HOF chances goodbye. In football, you get a 6 game suspension but that is it. Nobody in the media seems to care.
  7. I guess folks started to tune in hoping to see another upset after the night before. That does make sense. I recall they said they delayed the start of that game by 20 or 30 minutes. By the time the Bills game ended and I switched to the Fox game it was around 10 minutes left in the first quarter. I never even realized our game was 4 hours long. Felt like a normal length game to me.
  8. Yep. Mahomes lost. Kansas City! The Dynasty of one!
  9. Meh, Miami fans feel the EXACT same way about Josh Allen. Fans will always dislike the other teams QB, and they will really dislike him if he is good and has a history of beating the snot out of their team. I rather have a dude that shows fire on the field over someone like Herbert who is emotionless.
  10. No, because I already have respect for Brady after he won his last one with Tampa. That was one for the ages. The fact that he put Mahomes in his place was icing on the top.
  11. Why is this bad again? You're damn right our QB has Arm Arrogance. And your QB has Arm Envy.
  12. Unique situation there. Cover zero blitz on 3rd and 15. It's really not a bad play. Anyone that would have leaked out of the back field likely would have been tackled short. It's a low risk / high reward through because you have one on coverage.
  13. I think I have PTSD from the MNF game that was called off where it looked like the Bengals were going to score on every drive. Hopefully our pass rush can take advantage of their o-line issues. That would help a lot. And Allen needs to dominate that banged up secondary.
  14. That’s actually a bit frightening. The real Captain Checkdown has 7 super rings.
  15. All true, I think he can be the best ever when he puts it all together. No way to stop him. We’ve seen glimpses. Now we need the consistency. It will come.
  16. Yeah for sure. Just surprised all the love for the Bills. Seems like a really big number against IMO the best or second best team in the conference. I view the Bengals as a stiffer challenge than the Chiefs. But again, Vegas, the money would likely see the Chiefs as the bigger challenge. Chiefs have lost five of their last six to the Bills and Bengals for a reason. They are not as good as those two teams.
  17. The greatest to ever do it was a check down machine despite having the ability to air it out at times. I take note of that and would like Allen to add more of the pre-snap check down passes to his arsenal. I think he can do it. He continues to improve in different ways every year. Eventually he will be the total package.
  18. At this point, we’ll maybe not the playoffs, I would love to see a game where Allen intentionally does not throw beyond 8 -10 yards for the entire game. should really string a couple games like that together in the regular season next year just to get the repetition drilled into his head. We know he will never lose that gunslinger mentality. He would literally be unstoppable if he took the short stuff at a higher percentage.
  19. The line is -5 now??? Glad Vegas has more confidence than we do I guess. I already bet my entire bankroll on Bengals +4.5 last night. Line then dropped to +4 and now it is at +5. Don’t get it. One of those games where I strongly disagree.
  20. The tight end market is currently overvalued. I just don’t see the value here. There are very few tight ends worth big contracts and Geiseke isn’t one of them. Not sure Knox is either but let’s not hand out two bad contracts to the same position.
  21. Yeah, they had quite a few. Not sure if any were in scoring range but I just assume they killed some drives. maybe cost them 10 points. If we assume the big waddle one would’ve led to seven.
  22. That drop, Knox's drop and Allen's fumble are minimum a 14 point swing. But those things happen in a football game. Heck, Miami probably dropped 10-14 points worth of passes.
  23. Yeah, it was always a tough make for Hodges. But there were definitely a lot of folks at the time that wanted Hodges over Kumerow at the time. So this isn't reactionary after the fact with benefit of hindsight for many. It all came down to Hodges vs. Kumerow. That was the roster spot up for grabs. On paper at the time deciding the final 53 made sense. Nobody thought Davis and McKenzie would have down years like they have had. Davis was poised for a monster breakout year and McKenzie was having a great camp and pre-season and looked like a strong breakout candidate as well. Shakir obviously had a spot as well. Those three players plus Diggs were locks. One could also debate Crowder but the team wanted a veteran slot guy I think. In hindsight the decision was horrendous as both Crowder and Kumerow would go on to miss the majority of the season and Davis and McKenzie would greatly underperform to expectations. Not sure if there is a lesson learned here or not. If so, i guess the lesson is don't over value special teams and don't assume players are going to take that next step. The more promising contributors and playmakers you have the better in case of injury or underperformance.
