  1. And everyone knew Hodgins looked good this year in preseason and deserved a roster spot over Kumerow. But special teams. And then Kumerow ends up missing half the season anyway. At least with Teller nobody really knew if he was good or not when we let him go.
  2. Bringing guys back like Klein, Brown, Beasley and to a lesser extend guys like Lawson and Phillips kind of really points out how badly he has missed in evaluations. The guys that were supposed to step up and replace the aforementioned group never did.
  3. Yep. Although my account here was active in 2014, a few years before BBMB shut down, I didn't post much here until BBMB was shut down. I think at least 70% of the active posters here probably came from BBMB. Miss some of the ones that never made the jump like Savior Edwards! LOL.
  4. Sounds like we might as well as bring in a new GM.
  5. I would make Milano available too actually. Everyone but Allen. It seems crazy to trade Diggs but i like the thought of Allen being forced to spread the ball around more. I mean I would only trade Diggs if we are getting like a mid round or better 1 and 3 back though at minimum.
  6. Yep. He completed it because he has the talent to do so but it's still such a low percentage play. I only really want to see that throw on 3rd and 10+. Time was a bit of a factor but I think we still had all three timeouts meaning even the short quick pass to Knox would have likely gained at least 8 and you are still in great position to end the drive with a FG which is really all the Bills needed right there to just pull within one score going into the half and getting the ball to start the second half.
  7. What’s the down and distance on this play? Knox comes off the ball and is immediately open. He even turns toward Josh like he is expecting a quick pass. For whatever reason Allen passes him up. I really think Allen has to be better. His physical traits alone should be good enough to get us to the playoffs every year but to make the Super Bowl he has to make the right decisions with the ball.
  8. They also lack defensive talent. OL is probably the only unit that is better than any other team in the division. And it's an okay o-line, I don't think it is near top in the league.
  9. Pats problem is they are by far the least talented roster in the division. They were very lucky to play Zach Wilson twice rather than Mike White or I think they would have at minimum one more loss on the year. They also dodged having to play Tua twice as well. So really, they were likely looking at 2 more losses had they had to play those QB's. They know Lamar better than anyone. If they believe he is a broken down QB what is the harm in sending him to a team in the conference? It might also be more important as to what pieces they can get back in return. Ravens historically draft well and can turn things around with the right picks.
  10. I think we are still not 100% certain Tua will even play again. And it seems they might have no choice but to treat him with kid gloves every time he gets a concussion now. Very real possibility that if he does play, the next concussion he gets puts him out for 3-4 weeks. That is not a situation you want to be in with the most important position on the field. I think Carr could be a real possibility. A trade has to be involved but the Raiders don't have much negotiating power in the trade talks since they have already decided to move on from him. If I am Miami, if I start the season with Tua I need a high level back up behind him like Carr or Jimmy G.
  11. Can't see this happening from the Cowboys point of view. Carr is not a good enough QB that you would bring him in to move on from Dak. Carr is a solid QB option for teams that have dog poop at the QB position. He's not a good option for teams that already have a top 15-18 range QB.
  12. Eventually the NFL will have a team play back to back games on the Eurpoean continent. Perhaps this will be the year. Jaguars would probably be most likely team do this. They could play an away game against the Bills in London and then their "home" game at Wembley stadium. There are also options for Bills, Chiefs or Patriots to do the same. This would have a little more travel involved, playing one game in England and the other in Germany while still only giving up one home game each.
  13. unfortunately, I think the only impact players we will be gaining next season at some point are Hyde and Miller. Back from injury. maybe we have a shot at OBJ.
  14. He was drafted by a defensive head coached team.
  15. It's pretty shocking the number of guys we had and let go and then had to bring back. You listed quite a few and didn't even mention Lawson and Phillips.
  16. Funny thing is we did ultimately end up holding them to a FG on this possession anyway. But the damage to the Bills psyche was already done.
  17. I'm not a fan on zero blitz on 3rd and short. 5 yards is short for today's NFL offenses. Rather see it on 3rd and 7-10. Just too easy to get 5 yards. And one missed tackle and they are guaranteed to get the first. Miss tackle on 3rd and 8 and you still have a shot at pursuit getting there.
  18. IIRC, Edmunds doesn't actually blitz, he moves to double Chase but he is way too late. Not that it would have mattered with Tre so far off and not attacking.
  19. And not to mention, Hyde. I know he was gone most the season but that was an injury that very early in the season I always felt was going to come back and haunt us in the playoffs no matter how well we may have played at times during the season. Hyde and Poyer have really been the backbone of our defense since they both arrived here back in 2017 are whatever year it was. We were playing most the season and the playoffs with just half a Poyer.
  20. I'm 99.9% certain Frazier will be gone. It would be embarrassing for everyone to bring him back. Then the question becomes what gets McD canned next year? What our reasonable expectations for success next year? Does making the divisional round continue to save his job? Winning the division? Just making the playoffs?
  21. Can't argue with any of your observations on the game. There is still a massive talent gap on both sides of the ball between the Pats and the Bills so I think that is partly why it looks that way to you. But the Bills will have their hands full next season against both the Jets and Dolphins just like they did this year. I will say, the o-lineman that were missing were a bit of smoke screen because in reality the starting o-lineman that were out were just JAG's so the replacements were not a massive downgrade. That's why Bengals +6 was the bet of the year IMO.
  22. I'll embrace the heck out of being the underdog most of the year next year. Weren't the Bills favored in every single game they played in this season? Really miss flying under the radar. Division should be a real dog fight. Advancing to the divisional round will be a massive achievement rather than a failed season.
  23. I'm pretty sure they are equals and the Pegula's have final say on moving on from one, none or both. I don't believe Beane can fire McD or vice versa.
  24. Allen has beaten Mahomes straight up two out of their last three meetings. He goes toe to toe with the Chiefs and Mahomes just fine. It's Burrow and the Bengals who are whooping both Allen and Mahomes butt all over the field currently. That is the team to worry about. Burrow is the best right now. Mahomes and Allen are a wash I think, real close between those two but Burrow is playing at another level currently.
  25. Would have preferred the 3TD and 3 Turnover JA today. Would have had a chance.
