  1. I guess you are right. I saw conflicting info on Wikipedia when i dig deeper. It says hired June 2019. But say GM 2020 to present. on the little highlight box they have on the right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Douglas_(American_football) At any rate, the Jets have a pretty solid roster outside of QB. Not every situation is the same in terms of a GM not getting a team to the playoffs over 5 seasons. Could be very foolish to part ways with Joe D. They essentially drafted not one but two OROY's last year. His big misses have been Becton and Wilson.
  2. 2023 is Joe Douglas 4th season. neither QB is good enough and it’s pretty obvious. Jets are ready and willing to move on. Bills moved on from EJ fast. Patriots appear to be sticking with Mac.
  3. I think the Joe Douglas deserves another year regardless of what happens. Feel he has done a solid job outside of the miss at QB but the good thing is, they are not hitching themselves to Wilson like the Patriots are doing with Mac. They've built a nice roster. He handled the Jamal Adams situation well and got great value in return.
  4. I'd be interested in seeing Diggs in the slot with Shakir and Gabe outside. Maybe draft Hyatt in the second round. Sprinkle in Harty when he is available knock-on wood.
  5. Darnell Washington at #27, trade up to 45-50 and draft Hyatt. Kipers latest mock has Darnell Washington going at #40 and Hyatt going at #55. That would be something coming away with Washington and Hyatt. I'm not sure I see us going Hyatt though because of the Harty signing.
  6. I'm all in on Darnell Washington. Don't screw around just take him at #27. I've never believed in this "well he's not worth a first-round pick but if you can get him at 40 then that's good value" nonsense when it comes to draft picks. The guy is athletic and has measurables you can't teach or replicate. Beane has a history of drafting guys in that mold. Allen, Edmunds, Groot, Brown.
  7. The “do not draft” lists are worthless ever since the 2018 draft. that said, I’m still basically anti-running back in the first round no matter what.
  8. The 2015 team always felt like the team that should’ve broke the drought. But I think ultimately it ended up being the arrival of Hyde and Poyer in 2017 that got the job done on an overall far less talented team with players, with players like Tyrod, Taylor and LeSean McCoy fading. and of course, upgrading the HC with McDermott over Rex. Ryan helped as well.
  9. there’s a sizable contingent of posters, who are anti-running back in the first round no matter what though.
  10. that’s true. but in my case inevitably there’s going to be one game every week that’s outside my market of another team that I wanna tune in to at least for half the game.
  11. Is the idea to get so fat that when he falls his head can’t touch the ground?
  12. 350÷18 weeks basically comes out to $20 per week. So if you watch one game a week, most of them being bills games and the other weeks tune in to whatever games that are out of market that are interesting that seems like a fair price. if they end up offering just a team package I don’t think it’ll be less than $15 per game.
  13. Yep. IIRC Knox was also underutilized at Ole Miss. As well as on this team. I’d be willing to take that gamble on Washington.
  14. Hope we made a fair offer.
  15. If I am following that mock draft thread correctly, Zervovoltz traded up and took a DL. It was the Lions pick at 31 that took Campbell.
  16. You don’t screw around with your franchise QB, period. It’s a different position. Even the most humble and down to earth QB’s have an ego.
  17. what are your thoughts on Darnell Washington? And should the Bills go to a prominent two tight end offense?
  18. Darnell Washington is a mountain of a Tight End.
  19. when is the last time the Bills had a 6’3”+ wr? Mike Willams, Tee Higgins, George Pickens are recent wr that come to mind. And of course, all time greats like T.O. and Randy Moss. Even our Tight End is a little under sized for the position at only 6’4”. I think the team could benefit from some added length at one of the pass catching positions. I understand there are plenty of all pro wr’s under 6’3” and we’ve had two in the recent past in Diggs and Cole but that doesn’t mean we should look for size at the position. Would be nice to have at least one guy at Tight End or WR with elite size.
  20. The conference is too heavy with the Bills, Chiefs and Bengals. I still think we match up just fine with the Chiefs. Bengals is another story obviously. We sure looked like we were on our way to being 0-2 against them this past season. other problem is the conference and division especially is getting tougher. That is obvious since the Bills went 2-2 against the Jets and Dolphins and with all three games against the Dolphins being nail biters. The Bills are still a really good team. Top three in the conference. But teams 4-6 in the conference are now nipping at our heals whereas before their was more separation.
  21. his hands are on the smaller side at 8.75inches. But I assume he catches the ball okay. I’m of the mind of wanting a wr who either has elite size or elite speed. Addison has a lot going for him but doesn’t have either of those traits.
  22. it’s interesting that both Mahomes and Brady coincidentally had GOAT level tight ends for a good chunk of their careers and in Mahomes case, his entire career. Tier 1 tight ends are much harder to come by than elite WR’s. Currently you basically have Kelce in tier 1 by himself. Before Kelce it was Gronk by himself. At WR you have a whole bunch of guys you can put in tier 1, Kupp, Jefferson, Chase, Adams, Hill, Diggs. just so hard to find that elite tight end.
  23. yep. And it was a bad game all around unlike our loss the year prior. to me the frustrating thing is the window has closed in terms of it being the Bills and Chiefs as the contenders in the conference. Now it is the Bills, Chiefs, Bengals and probably two or three other teams in the AFC between the Jets, Dolphins, Jags and Chargers.
  24. those three Buffalo’s will be about 8 feet tall instead of 50
  25. Not saying you are wrong but that seems like an archaic way of scouting that made sense in the 80’s and 90’s.
