And if he doesn't, what are they going to do bench him? This has been a "wish list" for Allen going on at least three years now. Believe it when I see it. All of this was said by everyone before last season and none of it materialized. We will see how this season plays out. It's not easy to change how a player is wired. May take many seasons, may never happen. Knock on wood, Allen's running has not negatively affected him up to this point. But he is only a couple years away from where Cam Newton started to tail off I think. Newton was never the QB Allen was but still, I'd like to not see Allen decline at any amount for at least another 5 seasons.

Pickett is far too low. I love what I saw from Pickett last year. I'd have him around 21 ahead of all the rookie QB's and in that Carr and Garapollo mix.

I like Trevor Lawrence and Daniel Jones both to have big years. Lawrence is going into his third year which has recently been a big breakout year for QB's. Jones improved across the board last year and I think will continue to do so under Daboll. Hurts plays with one of the best offensive supporting cast in all of football, if not the best, so I would expect him to put up great numbers again. It would be concerning if he does not. We will see if the MVP goes to someone other than Mahomes this year.

Beane’s biggest blunder IMO was using 3 day two picks over a 4 year period on the least valuable position in all of football, RB. Moss and Cook should have never been drafted. Should have been day 2 RB in 2019 and day 2 RB this year. That would have meant two more day 2 picks that could have been used on the o-line in the 2020 and 2022 drafts.

Why AI doesn't work for NFL mascots

I mean horses do have massive d**** so I guess it is accurate at least. -
Right around where we have had our bye for the last couple of years. Maybe one week earlier.

RD 5, Pick 150: WR Justin Shorter, Florida
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Decent comp. I forgot that Easley was 6'3". However, this guy Shorter is just larger in every way, taller, heavier, longer arms, much larger hands. There are few receivers in the league bigger than him when you consider all the measurables together. He's like 90th percentile for all of them. -

I see your point. Some people were pretty optimistic for Shakir last year. Coming in as a possible replacement for Beasley. I know, for myself, had we drafted another 6 foot 190 pound wide receiver I would not be all that hopeful. It would just be another rinse and repeat draft pick. I like that this guy actually has elite size. we should hope be helpful that he’ll have spot moments this year. Davis was a fourth round pick and only selected 22 spots ahead of shorter. Due to injuries Davis got a decent amount of playing time his rookie year. And Davis was even one of the heroes in the bills first playoff victory in 25 years. -

if this guy was 6’0” 195 I don’t think we would have the hopeful expectations we do. A lot of it has to do with his physical attributes. -
Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's become a better offense by spreading the ball around more. Diggs, should be 1,200 and Davis should see a decrease in targets so I would say 800 - 900 yards for Davis tops. We need to spread the ball around more. Stop forcing the ball to Diggs and Davis all the time. The RB's should be seeing way more targets too. -

I'm expecting Kincaid to out-target Knox. Maybe not out snap Knox though. My guess would be each with about 40-50 receptions. If we are to believe that we will use Kincaid as our primary slot receiver I would expect him to out-target and out catch Knox quite easily. -

If his agility was better and his 40 time one tenth of a second faster, he would have been a first round pick. He's got decent explosion and strength though. -

That seems inaccurate for hand size. He has 10" hands. This list of 50 WR from this draft has only 5 WR's with larger hands. That would put him in 90th percentile. He also has the longest arms of all 50 WR's on the list, yet only 83rd percentile on here. Wondering if this graphic is for all-time WR measurements. The link below is only 50 WR's so maybe that graphic chart is for every eligible WR? https://www.milehighreport.com/2023/3/5/23625775/nfl-scouting-combine-results-wide-receivers-tight-ends This guy really feels like a steal in the 5th round for his upside alone. I wouldn't have complained if we took him the 3rd. But the way things fell were perfect. Offense 1 and 2 and getting good value and taking a LB to maybe fill a big void in round 3. -

He reminds me of T.O. in terms of his build. T.O 6'3" 224lbs Shorter 6'4" 229lbs -

Love this pick!! I wanted a physically gifted wr. Either elite speed or elite size. This dude fits the bill. Not only is he 6’4” but h’s 230lbs so he’s got some bulk to him. Says he has long arms as well. This guy could definitely be a possible Davis replacement in 2024. -
Your one, and only one, draft hot take?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
So Washington ended up being like the 10th TE off the board or so? My take was even more 🔥 flaming 🔥than I originally thought. -
🔥🔥Hot take Gunner! 🔥🔥 They are tied to Jones for at least the next two seasons. Obviously the Daboll and Schoen are higher on Jones then most of us. I will say, given the state of the QB position in the NFC, Jones could certainly be "good enough". Heck, I could see him being a top 5 QB in the conference. The Giants are doing a great job building the rest of the roster which i love to see given their Buffalo connections. I think Jones is still a sleeper to ultimately pan out and be the Giants long term QB. In his first year with Daboll he improved across the board. He did not have a Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts meteoric rise, but it was still improvement across the board. And besides Saquan, the Giants offense was still most likely lacking play makers at receiver and quality o-lineman. I would suspect Jones takes another step forward this year, and if he does, I think he solidly cements himself as the guy for the long-term. If the Giants were in the AFC they would have a QB problem. But in the NFC Jones will definitely be good enough.

Truly amazing what the Eagles have done since 2017.
-
Seriously. And they traded for AJ Brown last draft. Not sure how they did it. Their GM is schooling everyone.
-
Was hoping they would save that for Day 3 at least.
-
But it's Georgia. They are a great team. I just don't really trust them as a team that knows how to showcase their playmakers on offense. They're not like Alabama. Washington might just be under-utilized.

Hyatt and Darnell Washington free falling. Really surprised Washington is falling so much. His measurables combined with his speed for his size and elite blocking ability at the position give him a sky-high ceiling. Teams must think the floor is pretty low.
