Players that ARE HOF inductees but should NOT be
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jerome Bettis is always on the top of the list for me for this discussion. it definitely feels like there is a bias towards including Steelers sometimes. But I guess when you’re one of the largest fan bases in the entire league, it’s somewhat justified. -
have to disagree with this. Streaming is here to stay. and the percentage of streaming only household is only going to grow every year. there’s no satellites to hook up no cables to run through walls. I do agree with another poster who mentioned it makes for a terrible customer experience to force the customer to have a bunch of different streaming services and/or apps to watch the games. and the confusion is compounded now with games on all different days of the weeks and many different start times. Monday night doubleheaders where you might not be sure if the teams playing at 7 PM, 8 PM or 9 PM kick off. Is it ABC or ESPN? Or both? Is it on NBC or Peacock? Prime or NFL Network? we will see if that gets cleaned up over the coming years.

Quinnen Williams scrubs Jets from his Twitter page
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
it’s a little concerning that he wants to be paid as the second highest defensive tackle in the league after just one great year. The three years prior, he was trending a little like Ed Oliver. Just average. Jets will likely find a way to pay him though. -

2023 offense has potential to be best in Bills history
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills offense under both Daboll and Dorsey does not ask a single RB to carry the ball 15-25 times per game. Devin was a our leading back the last two years and he only had two games over a 33 game span in the regular season where he ran the ball more than 20 times (22 and 23 carries). He had 15 or more rushed only 6 times in that same span. He averaged 11 carries per game. I agree Cook might not hold up to a consistent 18 rushes per game but the Bills will likely only call on a back to average 12 or 13 rushes a game at most. And nowhere near 20+ on average. -
2023 offense has potential to be best in Bills history
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd say that is debatable. They are different backs. Used in different ways. Harris has a far lower fumbling rate than Singletary. That is probably the single biggest upgrade I see. Harris will probably vulture TD's from Allen and Cook in the red zone as well. Singletary was a back that was asked to do it all for the Bills. I would not expect the Bills will ask Harris to do the same. Cook will be the lead back trying to replace Devin and Harris will fill the role that Moss was supposed to fill. -
Who is our back up slot receiver? We have been hearing that Kincaid is going to be playing primarily in the slot. Basically, the Cole Beasley role but 8 inches taller. Likely stretching the field vertically more than Beasley did as well I am guessing. So, when Kincaid comes out, or worst-case scenario, has to miss time due to an injury who is his replacement in the slot? Sweeney? Knox? Do they go Sherfield who is 6'1" or try Shorter at 6'4"? Do they abandon the "jumbo slot" and go Shakir, Harty or Hines?

Bills 2023 Official Schedule
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really like this schedule. The home primetime games should be really fun. Would ideally go 3-0 against the Giants, Bucs and Broncos. That Giants game should be really good. And the weather might be decent for all of them as well. Then the Bills get two nice weather games late in the year at LA Chargers and at Miami. Schedule gets considerably tougher starting week 9 @ the Bengals. Bills ideally need to start the year 6-2 or better. They have a short week to prepare for the Jets week 11 which could be a huge game depending on how the week 1 game goes. But at least the Bills are coming off a home game on the short week. Extra rest before both Bengals and Chiefs games. The 12/23 game at the Chargers says "Peacock". So it will only be available via streaming? Not broadcast on NBC? -
It was really well done and entertaining. Titans probably still my favorite. Short and funny. bills was just kind of boring.

Tickets available now for all games on ticketmaster…
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to RiotAct's topic in The Stadium Wall
Planning on going back to Sofi to see the game December 23 against the chargers. As long as the tickets are not as outrageously priced as last year’s season opener, which I don’t think they will be, I’ll be OK with it. -
Bills 2023 Official Schedule

Broncos were quite entertaining last year on primetime actually. We shouldn’t confuse being really, really terrible with not being entertaining. -

Bills 2023 Official Schedule
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was going to get Sunday ticket but with all the primetime games and the one fox game being nationally televised I think I’ll just do Paramount+ and Sling TV and save the $350 or whatever it is. -

The last two seasons our bye week has come week seven both years. So no, it’s not exactly way too early. It could happen. -

Don’t they finalize the voting on these before Thanksgiving? -
I predicted the NFL would finally schedule the Jags for back to back games in London. That’s sort of the next step of testing out the waters of having a team over there full time or maybe at least half the year. I could see the Jags possibly splitting time evenly between Jacksonville and London eventually.

Wait, what? They were sub .500 last season with Belicheck.

This is a pretty solid list. Probably closely aligns with my top 10. Lamar should come with a (when healthy) tag as well. But when he is healthy, he slots somewhere around 5. Rodgers is TBD. He could be top 3 still or fall out of the top 10. I'm betting he is closer to top three, but we will see. He's got a couple good pieces on the o-line but they've been injured. When fully healthy the chargers o-line is probably better than the Bills, but that seems to be far and few in between.

That's right. I do remember hearing something about less holding calls IIRC. I looked up total league wide penalties (didn't find just offensive holding): 2015 - 4,326 2016 - 4,164 2017 - 4,166 2018 - 4,205 2019 - 4,278 2020 - 3,499 2021 - 3,909 2022 - 3,726 The totals for all years include playoff games played as well. Factor in, one additional game being played starting in 2021 for all teams and you see that we have pretty much stayed at the 2020 level of officiating. Drastic difference between the last three seasons and the proceeding five. Allen and the Bills offense/o-line should have about the same benefits in 2021 and 2022 that they had in 2020.
