  1. Can’t put this game on Dorsey. Allen has struggled all day on any air yard pass over 10 yards. Cook is having his best game yet as a Bill and he’s already had some pretty good games. Credit to Dorsey for continuing to call Cook’s number. Allen having one of his worst games yet here we are with a chance to take the lead on this drive.
  2. https://twitter.com/DakRandall/status/1598689661903376384?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1598689661903376384|twgr^bb68970ca9bc5f4e7058b5c56121b7304db38929|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnesn.com%2F2022%2F12%2Fmac-jones-set-weird-record-during-this-especially-gross-patriots-play%2F you never know. they may still need to be prepared for this one.
  3. in terms of adjustments, it was probably Dorsey‘s best game yet. Bills came out in the second half with an emphasis on running the ball and it led to touchdowns on there 2 possessions that ate up over half the time of possession in the second half. but of course, OP doesn’t consider any of James Cook’s rushing yards to be of any significance.
  4. Against the Giants the Bills were 19 pass attempts to 9 runs in the first half. And at one point in the first half they were 14 pass attempts to only 3 runs. To Dorsey's credit, in the second half the Bills were 18 rush attempts with the running backs and 2 Josh Allen scrambles to only 12 pass attempts. The Bills only had three possessions in the second half. They scored TD's on the first two. And the final possession was one I would say the Bills were not running their normal offense given the game and clock situation. Dorsey 100% adjusted in the second half and all the running backs including Cook were picking up meaningful and tough yardage. Murray was also seeing a lot of first down carries in this game. Dorsey basically was calling exactly the kind of ground game the OP asks for and Cook was getting good yards that were not in garbage time like the OP suggests.
  5. Why did OP leave out James Cook's rushing yards? Was that an oversight or intentional?
  6. Agreed. Running less, okay. Running HALF the amount times he has in the past!? That's too much of a reduction. I just want to see him go nuts in the postseason with the running.
  7. First year high school football official.
  8. figures. Right when Miami starts to win the division anyway.
  9. I hope he runs without any hesitation at all in the postseason that’s for damn sure.
  10. that’s ONE example. Now show us all the other examples from the three years prior. The good does outweigh the bad.
  11. maybe i need to rewatch. I thought the first was far more blatant with multiple grabs, a hook and never playing the ball. thought it was an easier call than the second.
  12. For one, he may be incapable of changing without it affecting his game to the point where he is less of a weapon than if he were to just trust his natural instinct. I rather him continue to play free which means he gets on those hot streaks where he is the best to ever do it. If he plays at that level enough it is only a matter of time before he strings together three games in the postseason to get us to the Super Bowl. It was a weird set of circumstances and a perfect storm of Mahomes, Kelce, Hill and Reid that prevented that from already happening.
  13. Not sure he needs to. He was on a roll in 2021. And to start 2022. I don't think he had found that happy medium. He was just balling. He's a bit of a roller coaster but I believe it's a roller coaster that can get us to a Super Bowl. Not every year, but him playing free consistently is probably the best chance we have of him leading the team to the Super Bowl.
  14. 100% agree OP. Let Allen be Allen. Take all of the good with all of the bad because the good far outweighs the bad. When he is on, he is the best to ever do it as we saw in the 2021 postseason. But OMG he leads the league in turnovers! And people freak out. Well yeah, he also puts in 40+ TD's every single year! For three straight years and counting. Don't give a rip if my QB has 20 turnovers if he still has a better than 2:1 TD:TO ratio.
  15. I've learned the opposite actually. In hindsight you run the ball three times and punt and the Giants likely never cross midfield. But that is hindsight. I recall it happening probably 5-6 years ago. Think it was a prime-time game but can't recall the game. But yes, it is very rare. Yesterday was certainly a game it could have happened and I'm not sure folks would be irate if it did.
  16. not sure they will finish with the conferences best record. That will be a problem if the Bills earn the one seed and Allen is still one or two in total TD’s Goff is looking better and better.
  17. Already? That is the wrong word. That would be half the attempts he has had over each of the last two seasons. He had over 120 in each of the last two years. Allen needs to run more IMO. He should be hitting about 90-100 attempts on the year in a 17 game season. He needs to dial it back some, but taking away 20-30 attempts is the proper dialing it back IMO. I was never one of those fans. Allen is at his best when he is unleashed and runs when he wants to. Our best chance at a Lombardi is with an unleashed Allen. As long as he goes fully unleashed in the playoffs hopefully we will be okay.
  18. haha. Not really opinion. Look at the Bills offensive output in the last three games against the Jets. And a 1-2 record. With the two losses against Zack Wilson or all QB’s. I’m perfectly fine with sucking against the Jets if we continue to dominate the Dolphins.
  19. hope you are right but it would be the first good game against the Jets since at least the 2021 season. Jets D is legit. I give Saleh props. They still have the worst QB situation in all of football and somehow manage to win games. And against us of all teams!
  20. McKenzie killed BB’s defense in his 2021 replacing Cole. It can be done.
  21. Clear DPI. Biggest reason it is not called is refs don’t want to throw back to back DPI’s at the end of a game like this. I would argue the first one against Bernard was the most egregious. Really had to call that one. The one by Johnson was much less egregious. Both players start with hand checking each other but when Waller tries to go up for the catch Johnson never let’s go with his right hand. we have seen similar plays go uncalled. I think a famous one by Luke Kuechly comes to mind. Second reason the play goes uncalled might be because the back judge under he goal post appears to be blocked out from Waller’s left side where the holding is occurring.
  22. at his pace, he’s gonna need likely three more seasons after this one to break that record. He won’t have the opportunity to do it as a patriot if they’re playing that poorly. Caleb Williams may be his best Hope to turn things around quickly. dude, hast to end up in the NFC. Period. it’s ridiculous The quarterback disparity between the two conferences currently.
  23. doesn’t feel like a Mahomes MVP year to me. Not with where he is at now number wise and with what is happening in San Francisco. Goff could be a good dark horse MVP.
  24. The L was a big deal I guess. Because Allan still put up very nice numbers on the day. Numbers that will help his cause towards the end of the year. But as I have been saying all along, the MVP is all about team record at the end of the year. 90% of the cases it’ll come from a player on a team with a one seed. If the bills handle business over this softer stretch of the schedule, there’s a good chance Allen will once again find himself as the first or second favorite. then the bills will have that stretch of games to finish the year that includes Cincinnati, KC, Philadelphia, Dallas, LA chargers, and Miami. if the bills go 4–2 in those games and finish with a 13–4 record I think they have a shot at the one seed. I don’t really see 12–5 being enough for the one seed. They also likely must beat Kansas City and Miami in this scenario as well. it will be interesting to see how voters view the 49ers MVP candidates as Christian McCaffrey should be every bit as deserving is Brock Purdy.
  25. i’ll be there again. Group of five.
