  1. You don't see a difference between playing at Baltimore vs. the hot trash that is Houston?
  2. Nope. Steelers are at worst 5 seed if they win. Lose and they are likely the 6 seed. Big difference between going to Baltimore vs. going to Houston. Houston has been hot garbage for half the season now.
  3. The TV networks don't pay big bucks for meaningless stand alone seeding implication games. You all need to get over the Bengals having an extra day. There are three games featuring teams that could be the 7 seed. Odds were very low one of them wouldn't be on Saturday. If Bills staff is so concerned they can start prepping for Bengals tomorrow.
  4. there’s a very limited number of games available that have actual meaning. I don’t think ESPN paid a bunch of money for games that don’t have serious playoff implications. You would also get more eyeballs on the games if you spread them out I think. The only risk is dolphins and Bengals both lose making the Denver game totally irrelevant. A pretty slim chance both lose though.
  5. sorry, but nobody at the league office is going to care and honestly fans aren’t gonna care that much either. Bills staff is basically going to start getting ready for the Broncos tomorrow. no way Denver and Chiefs is Saturday anyways. there are only two games on Saturday, so putting Denver and Chiefs on Saturday could spoil the meaning of one of the other two games for dolphins and Bengals.
  6. I expect the two Saturday games to be Bengals vs. Steelers and Dolphins vs. Jets. In that order. Bengals have to play first because Dolphins winning would eliminate the Bengals. Chiefs vs Broncos will be Sunday late afternoon game.
  7. Hopefully just one hand off. I don’t want him doing more than that given how he plays the game.
  8. Carson Wentz starting against the Broncos defense in Denver and playing with backups is going to be a problem for Cincinnati.
  9. only thing that matters is winning. Allen will win or lose the mvp based on being the two seed and his historic 4 game stretch against the nfl’s best teams. Nothing else matters or changes that. Lamar can never take that 4 game streak away. It will be up the voters to judge that streak be Lamar’s numbers. That streak was crucial. If the Bills lose to the Chiefs and Lions like everyone else had the Ravens would be the two seed right now.
  10. A few days out is an understatement.
  11. ??? Plenty of teams lost to Baltimore and Houston. Literally nobody else could beat the Chiefs. And only one other team beat the Lions.
  12. That's what they keep saying. I do think it is going to be about 20mph by kick off and for most of the game today which is still plenty windy to wreck a game plan and especially the kicking game. I do think they are embellishing by saying 40mph because when Allen finishes the game with less than 200 total yards and only 1 or 2 TD's they want people to consider how bad the conditions were. Winning this game should be the only thing that matters in Allen's bid for MVP. He did enough already in his historic 4 game streak (against three really good teams too) which set him and the Bills up to have a two game lead on Baltimore and the ability to sit everyone week 18.
  13. The rest of the NFL cost the Bills the one seed. It seems the Bills are the only team that can consistently beat the Chiefs these last four seasons (4wins 2 losses). We all thought the Rams loss cost the Bills the one seed. Turns out that game didn't even matter in the chase for the one seed because the rest of the league is so bad against the Chiefs.
  14. Rex and Greeny on Countdown keep saying 40mph winds today. They are both in Allen's corner for MVP. I think they are trying to establish the point in everyone's head to not expect big numbers from Allen and the offense today in the MVP race. It is likely a game the Bills try and run the ball 30+ times.
  15. This is why the one seed is such an advantage. Bills will have to beat Ravens and Chiefs on paper. Chiefs don't face the same challenge this year although they completed the task last year. More often than not, the one seed means you only have to face one top team before the Super Bowl.
  16. I see the game being close as well but it might have more to do with the weather. I do think the Bills are better served to come out with their full tool bag in terms of the playbook rather than trying to save stuff like they did last week. Getting a win this week is huge. You want to rest as many guys next week as possible. Put it all out there today so next week doesn't mater.
  17. I really don't think NFL teams, coaches and players on game day in particular give two cents about anything other than winning the game in front of them. The tank decisions are made with inactives and pulling starters after a quarter or halftime. But those are things that were always going to happen regardless of opponent. Just as Bills will have key inactive and pull certain players early in week 18 against the Pats.
  18. Just need a W and two TD's from Allen so he can get to 40 in sixteen games and extend his streak to 5 straight seasons.
  19. They have that choice whether the game is played Sunday at 1pm or Sunday at 8pm. I agree it's Vikes vs. Lions or Chiefs vs. Broncos.
  20. It is surprising who some of the MVP voters are. I mean Emanual Acho? Why don't they just give Nick Wright a vote? Last year was embarrassing. If ever there was a year to split the first place votes up equally between 3+ players it was last year. Dak, Allen, Lamar, Hill, CMC, Purdy all should have received some combination of 2+ votes. Instead we got a 49-1 vote for Lamar. The worst statistical season by an MVP in 20+ years and the guy wins one vote shy of a unanimous vote.
  21. One thing about Burrow is the guy takes a lot of sacks. Too his credit he still finds a way to overcome most of those sacks. But I bring the sacks up because they are not all on the offensive line which is a suggestion so many like to make. Burrow has a little Russel Wilson in him in the sense that both will be high percentage sack takers their entire careers despite having mobility to move around. Between the two QB's they have 18 combined seasons all with sack percentages greater than 6%. Mahomes is being sacked the most of his career this year and still has a percentage just below 6% on the season.
  22. Let's hope Josh doesn't see the light after another divisional round home exit. Yikes! That is terrible.
  23. Nobody in the league has wins like Allen and the Bills do. Chiefs and Lions victories are what should and in the end will set Allen apart. Also the four game historic stretch. Chiefs would be working on a perfect season if it were not for Allen's heroics. Nobody else was good enough to be the Chiefs and that includes Lamar. Allen and the Bills beat two teams with a combined 21-1 record. Probably the first time in history that has happened. Only way Allen should lose the MVP at this point is if the Ravens finish ahead of the Bills in the standings and that isn't happening.
  24. Check out the play at the 5:50 mark. Just a brutal hit. Dude is rolling around on the field in agony.
  25. Allen is going to possibly lose the MVP because the coaching staff decided to not put the players in the best position to win a game. They saved their best stuff as Allen alluded to. Kind of fullish IMO when you have a QB that tends to treat every play like it is the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl. Now he is banged up and coming off one of his worst games of the season.
