I feel the same way about the Colts. Maybe even more so then the Bengals. Colts have a very easy final three games on paper but the Colts themselves are an average team. They could easily blow any of the three games. The Bengals have a far tougher schedule, but they have at least looked like a very good team still. Browning is playing exceptionally well. Honestly, the most likely of all is the Dolphins going 1-1 or even 0-2 in their next two games. I'd be interested in playoff clinching scenarios for the Bills before week 18. Let's start to have some luck go our way this week.

That's exactly why they are a fraud though. With the record they have they should be seen as a contender. But most people don't view them as legit contenders. Can anyone see them going on the road and winning at Baltimore or at KC in the playoffs? Or, without the bye, can they win three straight games against playoff teams? They have a chance to prove they can do that starting now as they finish vs. Dallas, @ Baltimore and vs. Bills. If they win all three they will be a team to be feared. Odds are they go 1-2. Heck, we are hearing from the media now that the Bills are right there with Baltimore as the best team in the conference now and our record is only 8-6.

It’s not that surprising. Baltimore would’ve been playing three consecutive night primetime games if they made the switch. And and to be fair KC vs. Cincinnati is still a pretty attractive late game and Minnesota versus Green Bay still has quite a bit of importance in the NFC. NFL also might be considering the 90% likelihood that they will want to have Buffalo at Miami as the final Sunday night game of the season. So had they move this game to Sunday night Miami would then be playing consecutive weeks on Sunday night football.

Agreed. Isn't that the real reason why they shut down BBMB anyway? Too many employees were arguing with fans on their lunch break. Savior Edwards in particular.

not necessarily if you are figuring the Bills are the 4 seed. I could easily see the 6 or 7 seed pulling off an upset this year. I would say pretty likely at least one of the two lowest seeds pulls out an upset. If the Bills make the playoffs the two best teams are the Ravens and Bills for sure. With the Bills probably being the best considering the 4-0 finish and so close to 6-0 if the Eagles kicker just misses a 59 yard FG. KC probably solidly alone as the third best and I would have the remaining 4 teams all as equals.

I'll be there.

Agreed. He would be one of the most underwhelming MVP's ever. The fact that his team has been first in the conference for much of the season but he's hovered around 4-6th in odds for most the season is very telling. He has a chance to pick up some big wins to finish the season but even Dak at this point I think has a better chance of bouncing back and finishing strong with a respectable 38-39 TD's.

Random talking head says something about the Bills

We are on pace to do just that. Miami is on pace for a maybe a WC if they are lucky and a first round exit loss to the Chiefs or Bills. -

The context would be good luck doing anything at all in the playoffs if you are a paper tiger. We have the pager tiger bowl this weekend with Dallas @ Miami. -
What the media loves more than anything is a winner. For most of the season the Bills have not been winners. We get a tiny two game winning streak going and suddenly we have seen Allen's MVP odds increase dramatically. Don't underestimate what a lasting impression it will be on voters if the Bills win out and Allen leads the Bills to the division title against Tua and Hill down in Miami. In a game that will more than likely be primetime for all to see.

Current Odds as of this morning. Odd via Bovada. Purdy -200 Jackson +450 Prescott +750 Allen +850 McCaffery +1000 Hurts +1800 Allen has had a meteoric rise two straight weeks from +5500 down to +2200 down to +850. Had the Eagles game gone the Bills way he would probably be right there with Jackson at +450. With Purdy and Jackson going head-to-head this week it could really give one of them a boost while possibly dropping the other down to third behind Allen. Assuming both Bills and Cowboys win this week, I see Allen leapfrogging Dak. The number one thing Allen needs right now more than TD's, yards, less turnovers, is just wins. Just keep stacking wins. Any loss would be the nail in the coffin for his MVP chances. As shocking as it sounds, I could see the loser of the Purdy/Jackson match up falling into a virtual tie with Allen. Yes, Purdy could stumble from -200 favorite to around +500 with Allen with a single loss. A Purdy loss would be huge in really opening the conversation up for all of the top 4 or 5. And because of Jackson's weak statistical output the door would remain open for guys like Dak, Allen and Purdy to capture the award before seasons end.

hand picked OC? lol. As if it is somehow crazy that the Bills promoted within when they elevated Dorsey from QB coach to OC. Our signature win of the year is still the 28 point blowout of the Dolphins. A game in which Allen was flawless. Disagree on that point. The thing that Allen needs more than anything right now is W’s. Check. Second thing he needs is no turnovers. Check. As a bonus he was able to add two TD’s and may need up being the only QB to total 40+ TD’s this year.

Correct I probably didn’t notice you mentioned passing yards as well, but obviously all the average ones would go down. And the totals are good if you’re lower in attempts. That’s just the point I’m making. it’s far more likely he would not be leading the league in QBR if he was top five in attempts. That said the team around him is great, so maybe he still would be.
-
saying he’s only 21st in pass attempts doesn’t make those numbers look better besides total passing touchdowns. those are all statistical categories where the more you are asked to throw the greater odds your averages will go down. in my opinion, he is deserving of the MVP, but there are a few factors playing against him. CMC could legitimately end the season as a top three MVP vote-getter. The head to head this week between Purdy and Lamar will be huge. I maintain that Lamar statistically just isn’t worthy of an MVP this year, but I’m probably in the minority of that opinion. Vegas seems to think he is worthy.

Honestly, i thought the Broncos were quite a bit better than they appear to be now. That was a bad loss on Saturday. Certainly seems likely the Broncos will finish the season 2-1 here on out. Just don't know which team it will be that they lose to.

Who did he friendly fire yesterday?

There is still a bizzaro world chance that Miami has the division AND one seed locked up going into week 18 and is playing for nothing. The hardest part of the equation is Miami taking care of their end of the deal. Ravens: L @49ers L vs. Dolphins 11-5 loses head to head tie breaker to Dolphins Dolphins : W vs. Cowboys W @ Ravens 12-4 wins head to head tie breaker over Ravens KC: One loss to either Raiders or Bengals to drop to 10-6 Browns: One loss to either Texans or Jets to drop to 10-6 I believe the above scenario would have the Dolphins clinching the 1 seed before week 18.
