  1. Think it would be 2020. Which also happens to be the last year Allen caught a regular season TD pass (against Arizona). Makes sense that the record would be set in a year the QB accounts for a receiving TD.
  2. Except Allen did the same thing in the Lions game after what should have been TD # 5 on the game. But a hold call they never showed called the play back.
  3. Agree regarding why Purdy, and even Dak to a lesser extent were never in the MVP conversation last year after the Ravens beat the 49ers late in the year. I don't agree with all of those saying Lamar cannot win a 3rd MVP before he starts winning Super Bowls or starts playing better in the playoffs.
  4. Both can be true. Firing Dorsey at that specific moment did appear to be scapegoating. And Joe Brady certainly has gone on to be a better OC for the team.
  5. MVP is not a purely stats award. Sure you easily can make the case Allen is not top 3 if you go purely by stats. But the problem the other two QB's and even Saquan have is that none of them lead in the other meaningful categories over Allen that have always factored into MVP: team record, roster weakness (players perceived value to team), and historically defining moments and games. Jim Nantz "play of the year" on Allen's 4th and 2 TD run still holds true at the end of the season barring something crazy happening in the Vikings/Lions game. Josh's historic 4 game run beating the two touted best teams in the league is what put this team in the position to sit players this week. Allen has been the MVP favorite since "the play of the year". He's been MVP favorite more because of historic moment and value and nothing has changed that as the weeks and games have gone. When it comes strictly to stats, that is what 1st team all pro and offensive player of the year awards are for.
  6. He'll be on Joe Brady's staff next year. QB coach.
  7. why just straight women though?
  8. what kind of argument is that? make me the backup QB in Philly. We would have to proclaim Hurts the most valuable player even with Saquan on the team.
  9. Non of a, b,c are true. Dawkins IS the OT. By definition he can't be more than two yards outside the offensive tackle.
  10. Nick Wright has been one of the biggest bills in Allen supporters in the media this year. And from game one really.
  11. I want Bengals, Ravens, Chiefs, Rams in that order. Ultimate revenge tour.
  12. I actually don’t think Mike Florio is too far off. How else do we explain Lamar Jackson receiving 49 out of 50 1st place votes last year? The lone voter who did not vote for Lamar cast his first place vote for Josh Allen. I recall he received a lot of heat from other media members because of that.
  13. I actually think there is a decent chance Allen wins MVP and doesn't even get named a pro bowler for the AFC which will be funny as hell and should basically officially put a nail in the coffin of any relevance the "award" used to have. I guess Burrow is the leading vote getter for the AFC at QB. Jackson will likely get voted in as well. And will Mahomes really be left out even with the down season? I know it is a third fan, player and coach vote. But I just wouldn't be shocked at all if Allen is left off the roster.
  14. That has been one of Nick Wright's ( i know) criticisms of Lamar. He's one of the only top QB's in the league where the narrative seems to be that the Ravens are better off taking the ball out of his hands more to win big games. Imagine saying Allen and Mahomes need to take the ball out of their hands more for the team to win.
  15. Yep. The best example this season of stats not telling the full story is probably the 4th and 2 game against the Chiefs to end that game. How many "points" does traditional passer rating assign to that play for Josh Allen? That would be zero. And however many points Total QBR assigned to it is probably still not even enough. Play of the year as Jim Nantz rightfully called it.
  16. Winner won't be announced until after the conference championship game though so that is not a possibility.
  17. Do Saturday and Sunday both have 8pm games? I know Sunday does since it has three games. But don't recall if Saturday is sometimes 1pm and 4pm with no 8pm game.
  18. I'll prefer an 8pm game because I'll be traveling at the start of a 4pm game. And definitely no 1pm games on either day please as I'll be at a swim meet both days. Wasn't our last 8pm wild card game the perfect game against the Pats?
  19. Neither was Lamar's last year. But that didn't matter. But for some reason this year it does matter?
  20. Way too early to predict any of that though. For all we know in the WC Baltimore could be playing Sunday Night and Bills on Saturday. And then the Divisional could be the following week on Saturday. Which would you rather have? One extra days rest for your WC opponent or one extra days rest against your divisional opponent?
  21. How is it legit? Is #3 playing #2 in the first round? It's a nothing burger. Bengals potential 7 seed, albeit small chance, having an extra day of rest is at least more of a complaint.
  22. Get over it. really.
  23. Bills have an entire extra week. We certainly are not preparing for the Patriots over the next seven days. Best option is to assume a Broncos win and start preparing for them.
  24. Exactly. And great point about how middling the Steelers have been. Three straight losses, failing to score more than 17 points in all three and giving up an average of 30ppg. They need a good performance going into the postseason.
  25. I'm surprised Miami vs. New York Jets isn't the Sunday afternoon game over Baltimore and Cleveland. Maybe they want to showcase Lamar one more time in a stand alone game.
