  1. We need to remember how much Diggs was being phased out of the offense when Brady took over. I really don't see us missing Diggs targets and receptions from the last half of the season and playoffs. Shakir was our leading reception and yardage receiver for the last half of the season. I was at the Chargers game, okay a game the offense struggled but that had more to do with three really bad turnovers two of which were fumbles by Cook and Harty. But it was amazing to be how many times Diggs was on the sideline for multiple plays in a row and some crucial third downs as well. Despite the phase out of Diggs the Bills won like 6 games in a row towards the end of the season. The big question is whether or not the presence of Diggs on the field, when he wasn't being phased out completely on the sideline, helped the other receivers get open. And will we miss that? That is hard to gauge.
  2. Might have that already in Shakir? Shakir has alligator arms but led the team in receiving yards and receptions the back half of the season. Receivers with such short arms are not supposed to be successful. But if you separate and get open it doesn't matter if you have short arms.
  3. I have not idea what you are referring to or what your point is NoSaint.😕 Put back a punt catcher?
  4. We have our #1 WR. It's Dalton Kincaid. You don't trade up for a TE in the first round and not expect him to take over as your #1 targeted receiver by year 2. Coleman is easily a Davis replacement but with much higher upside than Davis. Shakir showed quite a bit of promise last year. Led our team in receptions and yards I believe the second half of the season and playoffs. Samuel is a 90+ target receiver in each of the last four years he was healthy.
  5. You don't get put in as punt returner if you don't have some natural athletic ability. The fact that he returned punts for FSU at his body size is a good sign IMO. This guy has football quickness and IQ.
  6. One of my sneaky favorite things about Coleman is that at 6'3" and 210+ lbs FSU decided to make him their punt returner. That's crazy to me. How many punt returners at the collegiate and NFL level are over 6'2" and 200lbs +? I don't envision the Bills asking Coleman to return punts but just the fact that he has and did do it I think shows the guy has some natural athletic ability beyond just being a tall and big bodied WR.
  7. ??? I mean, would you have posted this no matter what position and player the Bills drafted? It's common sense that you move out when you have multiple, I would guess at least 3-4 minimum, guys all ranked equally. Coleman was a guy in that group. He wasn't THE GUY so to speak. Bills were certainly willing to risk someone else picking him and isntead taking McConkey, DeJean or whoever else. It's certainly possible Worthy and Legett were also in that tight group that the Beane valued as the same.
  8. Davis replacement. Love his size.
  9. No bueno for me. With a daughter who is in competitive swimming, Presidents weekend is Championship weekend for the winter swim season.
  10. DeJean, McConkey or Franklin I will be happy with any of the three. Dream come true if we somehow land two out of the three in the second round.
  11. How concerned should we be with Franklin's weight? He's 176 and three inches taller than Xavier Worthy.
  12. Find a way to end day two with two out of the three guys above as Bills and this draft will be a home run. Maybe the best I can recall after day 2. Few would have batted an eye if either of the three were taken at #28 or #32. They are all still available when we start round 2.
  13. Not sure how you can come to this conclusion already when we haven't made a pick yet and there are still like 4-5 WR's that we could have picked anywhere from #28 to #40 and we wouldn't have been surprised. Franklin, McConkey, Coleman, AD Mitchell etc. I'm guessing Beane has about 4-5 WR's all with the same grade and that is why he moved down. Even if 2 of them are now gone, that still leaves 2 or 3 on his board at least.
  14. I think we would all be thrilled to land Franklin anywhere in the second round.
  15. I looked up the last 20 drafts and was somewhat surprised to see a team has trading down from the first pick of the second round only twice. It happened in 2015 and 2007. https://www.prosportstransactions.com/football/DraftTrades/Years/2007.htm You would think with nearly 24hrs to take trade calls it would happen more often. Now, the Bills are in a somewhat rare spot where they have traded down twice starting late in the first round to end up at #33. They seem to be a much more willing team to move the #33 pick then perhaps many of the teams that have held the first pick of the 2nd round in previous drafts.
  16. Both are day two QB's IMO. What is weird about this draft and maybe it is a new trend, it's like teams don't want to take QB's in rounds 2 or 3 anymore. Will there be a single QB selected today? GM's either want to be all in on a QB by committing to them in round 1 or take them on day 3 to set the expectations very low.
  17. Vikings area loser for me because they drafted JJ McCarthy. The athletic Mac Jones. It was a smart pick by them for I think. I like Maye. He is Josh Allen lite.
  18. Cooper DeJean. But I would prefer another trade down. I am sure that is what the Beane is trying to workout obviously. Otherwise you stay at #32 and get the 5th year option. We will see if he is able to trade down again or not.
  19. If we somehow pull off three 2nd round picks and still end up with Troy Franklin, DeJean and any other WR you want to throw in there I'd call that a good draft. Not sure if they can draft three players in round two but they are working closer to that.
  20. Would make sense they try to trade back again. They have nearly 24hrs to work out a deal. If so the trade off would have to be revisited. If they don't trade back then I would say no, it's not worth it. But then again, by making the trade you give yourself a much better chance to trade back again.
  21. Got to believe we are fielding trade calls all day tomorrow for #33. Bills in no hurry to draft anyone.
  22. Our first round was essentially trading a 4th for a 3rd and 6th for a 5th. We now have two seconds and third? Will be interesting if we end up taking three players in the second tomorrow by trading up into the 2nd with our stock pile of picks. That may be a success if we can end up with DeJean and two WR's in the 2nd round.
  23. Well safety and wr are both needs. Most disagreeing with DeJean who I assume we would play at safety seem to want a wr instead. But their is zero consensus on who the next top 5-6 wr off the board are.
  24. There’s no consensus on any of these remaining wr’s so just wait it out and take an elite defensive player at a position of need is my thought process. I mean I rally like Troy Franklin and I see him mocked to the 3rd round.
