No way in heck McD or McBeane are giving up on the season at 3-2 in a three way tie for the division. Look at the state of the conference right now. Bills hold a key tie-breaker over Denver already. Despite the loss today we have a really good shot at the postseason. My only reason not to is Peterman fools the front office into passing on a QB next draft. If I don't even want to take the chance of that happening it's best to just keep him on the bench. Evaluate Peterman in next years training camp and pre-season.

No matter what we have to take a QB in the first round next year. So getting an assessment on Peterman is not that critical. It's not like we are going to find out Peterman is good enough to pass on a QB in the next draft. At least I hope they don't get fooled into thinking that should he come in and look good in a few games late in the season. They can still get their assessment of Peteman all training camp and preseason next year.

Big Ben: "Maybe I don't have it anymore"

Good point. I'm guessing it has to do with Rodgers and Smith being much more athletic. They definitely look like they have a lot more left in the tank than the three from the 2004 draft. -
Well, at least Dallas lost

Cowboys losing does nothing for me. On the other hand it was nice to see the Raiders, Steelers and Titans lose. -
I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start

If our receiving core wasn't so thin I think we would seriously consider demoting Zay to our #4 receiver. Zay now has only 5 receptions on 23 targets. Pretty much nothing good ever happens when we target him. It's probably not ALL on Zay, but still we are shooting ourselves in the foot every time we target him. You got to believe that targeting another player would have better results. -

Great another team to worry about drafting a franchise QB next draft. It will be comical watching the Giants, Chargers and Steelers replace their franchise QB's with new ones before the Bills have found one since Kelly retired. -
i agree with your overall post but scumbag is a little harsh no? Sammy might not have been the best team player. May have gotten in a twitter feud with fans. But scumbag?

After last weeks game I am already expecting a playoff birth this season. Should we believe that they will deliver? Get back to me after the result of this next game. Pretty much. With the way our secondary is playing I'd say they are better than all three of those teams. And two of those teams are known to have really good secondaries so that says a lot about our own through 4 games. And of course Hughes, Lawson and Williams have been playing at a high level up front. This is basically the same for the Patriots they just throw more overall. White leads the Pats in receptions and Gronk would in all likelihood be #2 in receptions and #1 in yards for the Patriots if he didn't miss the last game. Still early in the season but so far signs point to the bar being low. Lot's of inconsistent play in the AFC. Could be a 9-7 record gets a team in. Plus we already hold the tiebreaker over Denver which is a huge plus since they would be our number one competition for a wild card at this point.

The way he missed the 56 yard FG was sort of inexcusable. Thing never had a chance.

If they lose tonight when is the last time the Pats had a losing record after 5 games? Before the Brady era?

[closed]So much for the 5-11 predictions.

This next game is a big one. Honestly if we can get this road game against the Bengals I see 10-6 as our new floor with a chance at a 12-4 or even 13-3 season. I'm expecting a loss this weekend for a variety of reasons but it will be a close game. Could go either way. Last weekend I was actually expecting an upset at Atlanta. -
Bills up to #3 in USA Today power rankings

They said Romo only missed two weeks in 2014 with the same fracture. That Raider game is still a month away. -
Would be great to get Lawson and Glenn back for this one to offset our newest losses from the Atlanta game. I'm actually less optimistic about this game then I was the Atlanta game. Win or lose this is going to be an ugly game for both teams. My gut is leaning towards a loss but I'm also seeing 2-1 over the next three so in the long term we should be good.

Got a lead, lost a lead

O.P's logic is ridiculous. The loss by New England eliminated the tie-breaker all together and gave us the outright division lead. I hope they continue to lose to NFC teams so we stay ahead of them in the standings. -

If the defense continues to play at this level and the offense doesn't make mistakes 12-4 is not far fetched at all. -

Agreed. It will be extremely disappointing if we lose all four of those games. Yeah we could still make the playoffs in doing so. But we need to win at least one of those four to even think we can compete with the top of the conference. -

You don't get a home playoff game with a wild card spot. It's only right that we would break the drought with a home game at New Era. One way or another we got to stay ahead of the Pats. We've already beaten Denver so if Denver can beat the Pats that will be a plus. If we can beat the Bengals next week while the Pats lose later in the season to the Steelers that would be another plus.
