Josh Allen is the JP Losman version of Carson Wentz. Pass. I don't believe Brohm had the arm strength, size or athletic ability of Darnold. I feel like regardless of how much Darnold struggles this year or next, he'll be a high first round pick. Some coach and GM will believe they can fix him up. Darnold is playing this year how Luck has been playing his entire NFL career. He's a gunslinger who will throw it anywhere, anytime. That's both good and bad as we have scene.

A lot of people thought the Browns were on their way to 4 or 5 wins before the season started. Thought they were going to start turning a corner this year. Same old Browns. A bunch of draft picks year after year doesn't mean much if you don't know how to use them. Hopefully that is not our fate too.

I don't think there is any such thing as a statement game in Week 3 as the OP suggests Chargers in 2014 was. The statement games that year that we blew was the Chiefs and Dolphins later in the season in back to back weeks. We absolutely don't have to go 3-0 over the next three. If we do that would put us in the running for not just a wild card or division title but a #1 or #2 overall seed. I do think we need to go 2-1 for us fans to have faith that this team isn't just the same ol' Bills. And one of those two wins has to be this Sunday for this place to not meltdown.

AFC East is the Best Division in Football

You mean like three we have already enjoyed so far through five games? I know it is a what have you done for me lately league, but Jesus, you are taking that a little to literal. SHOCKING!! LOL -
Neither. But I figured Watkins would struggle because of his QB situation. That hasn't exactly been the case. Goff has been good enough. The fact hat he has been healthy all year and is still struggling is alarming. He actually might not be that good. You can only make so many excuses for a player. Besides that one good game, Watkins has disappeared in the Rams offense far more then he ever did in ours. I don't know that Watkins ever had three straight games as a Bill for only 2 catches and 28 yards total. Elite receivers just don't do that regardless of who is throwing them the ball.

If both the Jets and Fish finish the season at .500 or better than yeah that is something to crow about. -

And I think only two inter-division games have been played in total? Jets vs. Bills and Pats vs. Jets. So these wins are mostly common from beating up on other divisions. Nah, Worst is either AFC North or NFC West. -
Zay Jones. 5 of 23 is pitiful
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BuffaloBillsMagic1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's why we really got to consider benching him if this continues into the Bucs games. The inefficiency is killing the offense. An offense that is already not all that strong to begin with. It is hard to imagine Taylor having a lower completion rate to any other receiver. -
Around The League: NFL Week 6 (I think?)

Not at all actually. Makes it even better. -
Marrone's a bad coach

Just like when he was with us. Beat a 13 or 14 win Green Bay team and then follow that up the next week with a loss to a 2 win Raider team. -
The Silver Lining?

250 from this point out is probably asking too much. He's at 180 right now. 50 ypg improvement would be pretty good and would put him around 230. We also need to get the running game going too so some of the total yardage improvement will be in the ground game hopefully too. -
Which games will you watch on the Bye week?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it too early for a who to root for thread? Jets over Patriots Browns over Texans Bears over Ravens Chiefs over Steelers (don't care about the pick as much as keeping the AFC North teams down; the pick will be somewhere between 25-32 depending on where the Chiefs go out in the playoffs) Rams over Jaguars Chargers over Raiders??? this is a tough one for me. Actually think the Chargers are the better team. Don't really want to see the Chargers go on a winning streak going into our road game against them. Giants over Broncos Colts over Titans That's 8 games. Over/Under 4 of those games going our the way we would like them too? Jets, Browns and Giants wins would be long shots so that is likely 3-5 right there. Would need to go perfect on the other 5 games to go over OR get at least one big upset out of those three games. -
Or does the level of play go back to what we saw in the 80's and 90's? Fewer good QBs so the passing numbers come down and with that the receiving numbers. We see RBs take on more leading roles and they have bigger numbers. Talent wasn't as good back in the 80's and 90's but people still loved to watch the game.

We actually are going to the pumpkin patch. But probably Saturday. I'll catch a little of whatever game is on locally in CA. -
Yep. Anyone who watched the game yesterday would know. Agree with this as well. Teams could shy away from him too though if an owner or GM feels that is their responsibility to look out for a players long term well being.

Turnover Differential
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. But we weren't we likely to set the NFL record of only 10 turnovers last year until EJ started the last game of the year. We have a history of not turning the ball over with Taylor. That is good and bad as we know. At the end of the season i would expect a good and maybe even very good +/- differential. Probably not historically good though. -
Has me wondering when we might see a talent drop off. I figure the freshman players currently playing in college are still the best of the best athletes. They started playing football in 7th or 8th grade or even younger and long before this CTE thing really go going. Maybe even this years senior class in high school is still the best athletes too and perhaps next years class. But real soon the number of top athletes playing the sport at the high school level is going to start declining annually. But then the next question is will we notice a decline in play? If the skill sets on both sides of the ball decline equally I would think we wouldn't really notice a drop in level of play as the competition level would still be equal.

The Silver Lining?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy would that be nice. Without a doubt the offensive numbers will improve. But as another poster mentioned many of the teams left have pretty high scoring offenses too so it will be a balance of how much will our offense improve and how much will our defense be able to hang on to their top ranking? -
The Silver Lining?

Carolina held the Eagles offense to 90 yards below their season average. Two of the Eagles TD scoring drives started at the Carolina 12 and 17 yard lines. Those stats tell me Carolina's defense was still very good in this game despite the 28 points given up.
