72 Hours of Buffalo Sports Hell Coming Up

Don't follow hockey. What's the deal with Sabres vs. Penguins? -

LOL. What? It's not that hard to look at ones post history. If you are not 100% positive about your team 100% of the time you get labeled a Pats troll? That's how it works around here I guess. -

Tonight's game is huge. Texans could easily pull out the win. They could easily lose too. -

I think I miss read CA OC's post. I thought when he said the rest of our games are against the AFC he was speaking to both the Bills and Ravens. -
Is anyone here really a Tyrod fan?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outside of putting a legitimate ready now franchise QB on this team like a Rodgers, Brees, Brady, I think Taylor is exactly what this team needs right now. The o-line has big time issues. Taylor is able to cover up some of those issues with his maneuverability. Look at Peterman against the Chargers. He was a sitting duck. Couldn't escape. D-line knew exactly where he would be. And that was compounded with poor decisions to either not take a sack or getting rid of the ball a fraction of a second too late. The poor o-line is also evident in the running game. We need at least two hands to count the number of times McCoy was met immediately in the backfield yesterday. A couple of occasions he was even met five yards in the backfield. -

If anyone here can claim to be a fan at any point of anyone of Losman, Edwards, Fitz, EJ,Orton, and if you say you never were then you are clearly lying, then how could you not have some appreciation for Taylor? -
The path to the Playoffs

Great breakdown CA OC, but I think you missed one crucial game that kind of blows all the tiebreaker stuff up. Any tied scenario, such as 9-7 must include a win against Detroit for Baltimore if we are to win a tiebreaker against them. If we both end up 9-7 but they lose to Detroit that would automatically mean they have a better conference record then us and no need to go to common games/SOV tiebreakers. That is not to say we should hope for a Baltimore victory over Detroit. Just the opposite. Hope they lose that game, the Pitt game and any other loss will give us the wild card outright. -
End zone celebrations

The new "in" thing seems to be half the team posing for a picture in the end zone. -

I see 9-7. Split with N.E. and Miami and beat the Indy. I see the Ravens also finishing 9-7 and I believe they would likely win the tiebreaker over us if that is the case. hospitable: friendly, welcoming -
Could the Bills be 100% next week?

James White and Lewis are no slouches. Patriots would rather have them available for the passing game. -
So, 4-12 predictors...how's that working out?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Campbell was a very nice free agent addition too. Well run teams can get back to the playoffs without sucking for 5-10 years. But since we are not one of those we should probably try the route that teams like Detroit, LA Rams and Jacksonville have taken. Then again we might just end up being like the Browns and never make the playoffs despite all the sucking. -

Surprisingly not as bad as this one which has set team records for how bad they have been on this three game losing streak. Yet again another classic, "can't get any worse than this", situation that does in fact manage to get worse. We as Bills fans know this all too well. -
But how many of us have been saying draft a QB in the 5th round? We passed on Mahomes and Watson. Watson looks special. Mahomes looked pretty darn good in pre-season. I think those are the kind of QBs we are craving to draft. First round talented QBs. But I guess since Losman and Manuel were flops we should just never draft QBs early anymore.

49ers are the trade target
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rosen will come out for sure. The question is will Darnold come out? We really need him too because both those guys will go 1 and 2. Cleveland has to draft one of them #1 overall. That leaves whoever they don't draft available at #2 hopefully where the 49ers will be picking. I like other QBs in the first like Mayfield and Jackson but we can likely trade up to only 5-10 range to get one of them. There are so many teams this year in need of QB's due to age of their current one or just not having one at all, that I could easily see 5 going in the first 12 picks if Darnold comes out. I've never understood the Bridgewater hype. Very mediocre season before his injury. Somehow the injury inflated his actual value and importance. He came out the same year as Carr but Carr looks like a much better QB to me. Not sure Bridgewater can reach the ceiling that a guy like Carr could. And with our offensive line Bridgewater would get killed. Not real mobile and and he has a really thin build. -
Just drafting a good QB might not be enough
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well not obtaining a good QB is guaranteed to fail for us. I mean that's basically a proven Scientific Law now right? 17 consecutive years and counting of data to back it up. -

We can't get over the 5 wins through 7 games hurdle. It's our Kryptonite. 2008, 2011, 2017 Like clock work, this team starts 4-2 and even 5-2 but come Halloween and till December, they get crushed. Then they win a couple of games in December to keep themselves mathematically still in the hunt. If we could eliminate the entire month of November from the football schedule we would actually have a pretty decent football team.
