NFL 7-6 teams point differential
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It just means we crapped the bed on our 3 week hiatus from football. -
Taylor starting

Cousins is a smallish QB that is going to be 30 next season. I say pass. Let's get a 22 year old rookie that we can have for 15 seasons. I'd question how well Cousins will hold up into his mid 30's. -
Taylor starting

Starting Taylor is the right decision. Despite his issues he still gives us the best chance to win this week. He just better not have another one of the 50 yard first half performances. If he does, if Peterman passes protocol I would put him in for the second half. -
If he is there you just got to get him. Rams worried about the line year two with Goff and they are doing fine now.

Was wondering if anyone could clarify something
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In your Titans scenario, if both the Bills and Titans finish 9-7 (highly unlikely because the Titans would have to implode with 1-3 finish) the Titans one of the three losses would have to come against the Jags. That is the only way we would finish with a better conference record then the Titans. In you other scenario it probably comes down to common games. I believe all three teams would have 7-5 conference records. -
Cousins is going to be 30 at the start of next season though. Because he isn't an elite talent and not all that big for a QB he could be finished at say 35. Do we really want to invest so much into a QB that might only have 5 good years left in him? We draft the right rookie, and at 22 years old he could be with us for 15 years.

McD failed too many times

LOL. What are the odds of that happening again to Brady in the same game? -

That's not even review-able so if that was what our Coach was hoping for we are in even worst shape. The Jets are a team playing hard for their coach. They are one game back of us and are a team that is supposed to be lacking in talent even more than us. We've been blown out in four of our last five games. Jets have been blown out in one game all year. -
2x1st Round Draft Picks
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming Rosen and Darnold are gone/unreachable and assuming the Bills have very similar grades on Mayfield, Jackson and Rudolph it would likely be wise to just wait till at least one of the remaining three is gone and then make you move up to draft the one you like. Personally I'm really liking Mayfield as the third best QB in this draft. You see the fire that Brady has. Mayfield is the only QB in this draft that could bring the same fire. -

The old worn out argument. How are you worn out after a 15 minute break at the half? -
Man watching the replay is even worst. Watching it live I though he got him in the middle of the back (still really bad). But that's straight to the friggen back of his head. We are actually pretty lucky the injury is only a concussion. Very easily could have been some damage to the C-vertebrae. Hopefully the league office can use common sense hear and suspend him for multiple games and give out a fine much larger than usual.

I'd also take a look at McCown if the Jets decided to go only with a rookie QB next year.

McDermott should take notice and walk away after this season. That's probably the best and only reason to keep McDermott by the time the season ends. It's an unfortunate catch 22. You want to get rid of the guy because he sucks and you have no faith in his process but if you get rid of him you won't be able to get a good coach. Got to swallow the pill and ride it out for one more year at least.

Official fire Rick Dennison thread
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. Assuming the team competes, they don't get blown out for a quarter of a season. At least one side of the ball is good. And we see improvement as the season goes on. That's probably the biggest disappointment. We started hot, in some part due to an incredible amount of takeaways that were not sustainable, and now the bottom has fallen out on both sides of the ball. And again, it will be different next year simply because we will have, hopefully, a rookie QB. I'd be more inclined to give a coach more time with a rookie QB. But i really think seeing what the Eagles and Rams have done, we need to at least consider going that route at the HC and DC positions. Exactly this. The 5-2 start was probably the worst thing for McDermott. I fully expect him to be here next season but the pressure will immediately be on him from the first game. A 3-13 season with a 1-4 start would have cooled expectations and he wouldn't be graded on how the team fell apart this year. -
Why are defensive backs so short?
