  1. Because his team does not ask him to carry them with his arm. In my opinion, volume should always be a big factor in the equation of how good someone is with their arm. You don’t have to be leading the league in pass attempts, but you also shouldn’t be at the bottom either. A quarterback is far more likely to have better than average, turnover ratios and completion percentages and yards per 10 if they’re asked to throw less. Looking at attempts per game since both WB’s emerged as top QB’s we have: since 2020 Allen averages 36 attempts per game. Since 2019 Lamar averages 28 attempts per game. 8 attempt per game advantage for Allen is not insignificant in my opinion. And I believe Lamar only averages 3 more rushes per game over same time period so Allen has an overall advantage of 5 more attempts per game combined rushing and passing. Nobody is asked to do more for their team than Allen as we know.
  2. you are just making assumptions. Are the Bills running up the score or just clicking on all cylinders? When you have a defense that is top 5 in the regular season paired with a top 5 offense the result is rather expected. A lot of blow out wins. The 2021 year you reference featured a top 5 offense in both scoring and yards and the #1 defense in both scoring and yards. The Chiefs in the Mahomes era have never paired a top 5 offense or defense. They have had plenty of top 5 offenses, up till last season. Had the Chiefs had a great regular season defense we would have seen more blow out wins by them. Again how do you quantify letting off the gas vs. just running out of juice? You really can’t quantify it. You can only guess and make poor assumptions. Did the the Chiefs let off the gas in the AFC Championship game when they couldn’t score for the entire second half? Was there game plan to really not try and score for an entire half? Or is it more likely the offense ran out of juice and the defense tightened up?
  3. Jimmy G never came close to putting up Purdy numbers in SF. Am I wrong? Jimmy G put up good numbers. Brock’s numbers thus far are elite.
  4. How do you quantify taking off the gas vs. not? Is there a stat for that or are we just spit balling here? Josh has missed half of the 4th quarter and even entire 4th quarters in some games over the last 4 years when things are really rolling on both sides.
  5. Disagree that 2020 AFCG was our best shot. I'd say both 2021 and 2023 were our best chances. Chiefs were clearly better than the Bills in 2020. It was nice to get to the AFCCG that year but Bills had no shot to actually walk away with a W that day.
  6. He’s on pace to be the all time TD leader as well. But TuRnoVeRS!!
  7. Well, looks like I’ll be getting Sunday ticket free this year after we switch from T-Mobile cell service to Verizon wireless. first time I will have had the ticket in almost 10 years.
  8. none of the noted applies on this play though. agree, on Teller’s initial block being legal. End result of the play though is a reverse chop. Could have drawn a flag but not surprised it did not.
  9. The RB engaged the defensive end high immediately after Teller cut him low. It’s a “reverse chop” and falls under the category of illegal chop block personal fouls. A1 blocks a defensive player in the area of the thigh or lower, and A2, simultaneously or immediately after the block by A1, engages the defensive player high (“reverse chop”). yeah. I doubt this one was called in the game as well. Just because it is illegal by rule doesn’t mean it will necessarily be called.
  10. correct. The foul occurs when the back contacts the DE high while still contacted by Teller low. Thus an illegal chop block. it’s a “reverse chop” from the rule book: A1 blocks a defensive player in the area of the thigh or lower, and A2, simultaneously or immediately after the block by A1, engages the defensive player high (“reverse chop”).
  11. If you pause the clip at the right nano second you see the DE is being contacted both low and and high at the same time. Technically an illegal chop block.
  12. Big Ben played elite level football still at the age of 36. He really didn't start his decline until 37. That's fairly normal. Cam had one elite season as a QB. So his decline after the anomaly of a 2015 season is harder to gauge. His seasons after 2015 were closer to his early career averages than they were that one special year where everything was clicking.
  13. If it is not: DE, CB or WR, three positions where the Bills are young and have unrealized potential still, I think it means we are coming off a very good season.
  14. Reports are also that Mahomes would have never lasted past the Saint's pick that year. Landing Mahomes at 27 would have likely never happened.
  15. It seems very likely he has regressed. You cite his winning career record overall which is true, but he hasn't played winning or .500 football since the 2020 season. It's very much possible he is below .500 QB now. I had high hopes for him when he went to Pittsburgh. Thought he would be a much better QB after a year of sitting and learning with an elite QB and winning culture. That obviously did not materialize in Pittsburgh.
  16. Jordan Love as well to a lesser extent.
  17. and not to mention, there’s like a 90% chance the Chiefs would’ve ended up with Worthy whether the trade was made or not.
  18. I felt dirty buying Gillette products for a long time but Josh fixed that.
  19. he needs to run way more with his legs than he currently does. And I think part of that comes down to heart. at the same time, I think both Allan and Mahomes are greatly underrated in terms of their agility and vision as runners. when it comes to the talent of agility and vision as a runner, I do think Herbert is lacking in that department. And that may be the reason why he doesn’t run nearly as much. trevor Lawrence suffers from some of the same. Can he run? Yes. But better agility and vision would go along way.
  20. Coleman to break every Bills rookie wr receiving record.
  21. So are you conceding that we were in fact a Super Bowl contender last year? Or are you of the opinion that we were not a Super Bowl contender last year because Kyle Allen’s $1.2M salary was too rich and prevented us from signing a player that would put us over the top?
  22. you might have point if some team other than the Super Bowl champs knocked us out in a 3 pt game.
  23. I mean last year we were the #2 seed and like 1.5 games from being out of the playoffs entirely. In fact, going into the final week, the Bills could have either finished the 2 seed, which they did, or missed the playoffs all together. And do you really think the Bills were not a real Super Bowl contender last year just because they made the playoffs by 1.5 games? They played a back and forth game with the Super Bowl champ and lost by 3 points. They arguably played the most competitive game of any of the other three teams the Chiefs faced in the playoffs last year.
  24. Didn't they clinch a playoff birth before the Miami game? I think the Jags loss on Saturday the day before clinched a playoff spot.
