Bills 21, Bengals 17 Game Balls!!!
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say it again and again. Not gonna happen. It is in his DNA. Good thing for us it also seems to be in his DNA to come through in the clutch. Got to take the bad with the good when it comes to Allen. Today it was amplified because he had not one but two of those throws that both cost us points. Yet he still came through. He's getting better overall as a QB but i have no expectation that he will ever learn from those type of throws. And honestly, I am fine with that. Just know he'll rip our hearts out in some games in the future with those throws but also lead us to glory with his unique style of play in the future too. -
Neither team got there by going through tough opponents. Bills and Patriots opponents are a combined 0-18 or 1-17 or 2-16 if the Steelers or Giants win today. But Pats have had the even easier schedule drawing the Jets with their third string QB and the historically bad Dolphins.

Tough question. Like a similar question a few years back. Would you take a deal to win the super bowl this year if it meant missing the playoffs for the next 20 years following. I voted no in that scenario because i want the Bills to be more than a flash in the pan. I want them to be like other great teams with Franchise QB's who are always in contention like the Steelers, Chiefs, Packers, Seahawks and the Saints have been. I could see if you are over 60 you might just sign up for the one and done option though.

Last years performance from Mayfield should hold much more water than one game from this season. If he struggles again tonight then we can revisit Mayfield falling in these rankings. If he goes out tonight and throws 3 TDs and 300 yards with no picks then he is who we thought he was last year still. I still don't quite trust Lamar Jackson and think Allen's game translates to long-term success the most. But I guess at this point you would have to give it up to Lamar and rank him second given how good he was in his last two starts. He could quickly overtake Mayfield depending on if Mayfield struggles again or if Lamar continues to breakout like 2018 Mahomes.

Miami reportedly ready to pull plug on Fitz
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And I am seeing it at 21 now. It's unreal how bad they are. They might be a two TD dog against even the other bad teams in the league. Jets without Darnold and Mosley they might be like an 8 point dog. -
Playoff chances with a 3-0 start
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering who we would have just beaten to get to 4-0 I would say the playoff chances would be about 98-99% if we start 4-0. -
If Singletary is hurt... trade for Gordon
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should just bring back Murphy assuming he is available. -

That hedge didn't work out unfortunately. -

I took that as one of my six regular picks. Was looking possible until Flacco just threw a pick at the goaline. I'll be 5 out of 6 on my individual wagers if I miss on this one. It was a good week to say the least. Just wish i was placing more than $5 wagers on everything listed below. I'll probably up everything to $20 wagers next week with the larger bank roll. Hits: Colts +3 Lions +1.5 Cowboys -5 49ers -1 Jags +8 Six team parlay $5 to win $230 Cowboys -5 49ers -1 Buffalo -2.5 Chiefs -7 (calling this one early chiefs up 28-10 in 4th quarter right now) Lions +1.5 Colts +4 (bought a point on the parlay) Misses: Broncos +2 (currently down a TD in 4th quarter) Six team teaser Saints +8.5 -
Miami reportedly ready to pull plug on Fitz
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this a "we are going to fire you before you quit on us" situation? I mean if anyone should be pulling the plug it should be Fitz pulling it on Miami. He doesn't need the crap they are offering. Miami is an absolute mess right now. I would love to see the first group of players ever just boycott an entire game. Send a message to their owner about tanking. -
Micah Hyde hit to jar the ball loose...

And even more importantly of note in today's NFL, a perfectly clean hit. Hyde showing how you do it. -

I prefer to sprinkle in some parlays for chances at bigger payouts. -
I think we will see Jones at some point this year as I expect the Giants to be about 3-8 or 2-7 at some point this season. But they could always choose to take the Kansas City approach and have him sit most the year and throw him in for a game 17 start. Eli is a HOFer. Just one with a not so great regular season resume. To me that means there is no way he should be a first ballot HOFer. But he will get in sooner rather than later once he is eligible. I'd probably put him on the same level as Phillip Rivers.

Primetime is BacK!!!!Back!!! BacK!!!!!!
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For all of us who cut the cord and don't have ESPN anymore and haven't gone with Sling TV or Hulu Live. Love that NFL Primetime is back. Will I pay for it? Not sure. -
Yes, but I wouldn't say tempted is the word. It's a no-brainer to start him this week. He probably has a chance to be the highest scoring receiver in fantasy while Hill is out.

I won with Josh Allen being credited with four turnovers last week. 147 points scored. Highest in the league. I consider that a nice achievement. And Sammy Watkins was on bench.

Who else road Josh Allen to victory last week?
Sammy Watkins' Rib posted a topic in Fantasy Football
Despite the 4 turnovers he still chipped in 17 points and I was able to walk away with a W. I plan on riding JA to victory all season. Disclaimer, the rest of my team outside of Allen had a very nice week scoring 130 points. Standard yahoo scoring 12 team league. I also went against the conventional wisdom around here and drafted Brown over Beasley. Our league is non-PPR so I didn't really see much value in Beasley catching 8 passes for 75 yards every week. Brown road my bench last week. Considering putting him in my flex this week. I currently have D.Williams in that spot who I used my second round pick on. Problem is McCoy showed up (who I also drafted) and now it looks like both McCoy and D. Williams are destined for about 9-11 points every week. Need one of the two to pull a hammy so I can get the 20 points from just one back instead of two. Oh and I drafted Allen with my sixth round pick. Super early I know but when you have another fellow Bills fan in your league you got to pull the trigger earlier than you would prefer. -
Hard to tell just how low the ball is there but I wouldn't say it was an easy catch and run pass. I am fine with ensuring the reception. The other big thing i noticed is Foster was open on his route for the first down as well. It is nice to have two receivers both beating their coverage for first down yardage. That's good play design by Daboll and good ability by the receivers to win. Stonewalling two guys back to back. Very nice. I was skeptical of this o-line going into this season since they had a historically low bar to improve upon from last year but they look significantly better than last year so far.
