Allen 4th and 1 opinions wanted
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen will quickly take the GSYQBOAT* title away from Brady by his 3rd or 4th season. *Greatest Short Yardage QB Of All Time My other favorite yard to go run by Allen was the one last year against the Jets where he nearly turned a QB sneak into a 50 yard run if he wasn't tackled by the shoestring. And going over the top against NE for the TD was so good and easy for him. -
10 days to prepare for Lamar and Ravens
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know that that will necessarily help. Around the same time they were blown out by the Browns. Teams have had both tapes for weeks and the Ravens have been destroying teams still. That said. I have a good feeling about this game just like I did going into yesterday's game. Bills are going to surprise some people again. I think we put the clamps down on the Ravens offense just enough. Hold them to about 20 and we win something like 24-20. -
Allen is actually a great fantasy football QB. I've been riding him all season to a 8-4 record. I think the correct answer to the question is some fans are just dumb or like to stir the pot. Or some have been spooked so badly by the ineptitude from the position the last 20 years that they are convinced beyond doubt that a QB has to THROW for 2TD's per game and average 280 ypg.

This is the better question for sure. And honestly, when you factor in age and potential. The answer might only be two. Russel Wilson and Mahomes. As great as guys like Rodgers and Matt Ryan are, they are way too old even for QB standards. Brees and Brady? Forget about it? The oldest top five QB I would consider taking in a straight up trade is Wilson who turned 31 today oddly enough. Then you have Lamar Jackson and DeShaun Watson. Both great talents. Both young. But long term I am far from convinced that they will either 1. Be better than Allen or 2. Not have their careers shortened. Although Allen can run just as often as Jackson and Watson I think Allen's game in the long term might age better.

Bills' player: "I see why you don't pay Dak"
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to class_of_2012's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both these guys need extensions signed now. Don't let them hit the market. I feel like these two in particular feed off of each other's emotion and energy during the games. They need to be signed as a package deal. -

This team is coming together on both sides of the ball exactly when you want them to. Late November-December. It's exactly what New England has done year after year during their run. I was one who had a good feeling going into this Thanksgiving Day game. Jumped at the +7 line as soon as it came out. Starting to have a really good feeling about the Ravens game now too. -
This is a tough one. I think any outcome would be okay. Would lean just having Pittsburgh beat Cleveland this weekend and thus basically ending the Brown's season. Visually we could cross a team off the list. But Cleveland is rolling right now and it wouldn't exactly be a great sign for the Steelers to step up under the new QB who I think is better than Rudolph. The team could find a spark and that defense they have is still good enough to cause us problems on the road.

Honestly, I think they have a lot of big names who's hype is bigger than their play. They are not terrible by any means but Jerry is acting like he has put together a super team and can't believe they could be 6-5 with the players on the roster. I expect the Bills to be in the game to the final second. I'll be disappointed if this looks like the Philly game but indoors. Not sure why you find the comment so amusing. You didn't comprehend my point. I'm comparing the two losses that the OP mentioned. I'm simply making the obvious observation that we did not get boat raced out of the stadium like we did against Philly. It was a competitive game. Do you disagree with that? And I expect a similar competitive game against Dallas.
-
Well one dominated us on the ground and the other squeaked out a win we could have easily won. The team that dominated us doesn't appear to be all that good. But I think they have a good coaching staff. The team that squeaked out a win played probably the toughest first half schedule of all 32 teams which included a win over Baltimore. I see the Browns going on a run to end the season. Will they win out? Probably not. But a 6-1 finish is not out of the question for them. But unfortunately for them it looks like they have no margin for error. As for Dallas. I have had a great feeling about this game since the season started really. That included while Dallas looked great the first three weeks. Nothing has changed my mind in thinking this will be a close game coming down to a final possession. I think tomorrows game is a lot like the Browns game but with more scoring from both teams.

I CAN'T WAIT til the Ravens come to Buffalo
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bend but don't break. Let's keep them under 20. It will be interesting to see how the 49ers D handles the Ravens. -
I've always thought Allen was the prototypical QB that Elway would want. The irony though is that once that QB was finally available for the Broncos to draft he couldn't because of the two huge previous whiffs on Oz and Lynch. Both big QB's like Allen and both pretty big projects like Allen. But Allen had even more athleticism and a bigger arm than both. If Allen would have come along before Oz and Lynch the Broncos probably would have drafted him. But no way Elway could have sat down at a post draft press conference and justify taking a third 1st round big body project QB. But their loss, our gain!

Been there, but don't love it. Feels like watching a game at Denny's with a bunch of Bills memorabilia up. Cool to look at and take in for a few minutes but for actual game watching I don't love it. Although, you get sound to the Bills game so that is a plus whereas your typical sports bar probably wouldn't have sound unless we were playing the local team.

2019 Playoffs. 1st round
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have to play the Browns again who just beat them. Ravens. Plus us. Throw in Rudolph playing like a scrub and I can't see them finishing better than 4-2. I've heard people say the Browns can win it. Certainly looks more doable then the Steelers winning out, but again they have to play the Ravens. And Browns literally have no room for error sitting on 6 losses already. Is Rudolph suddenly going to play well? Why are you so confident they will beat the Browns in two weeks? They could very easily lose to Arizona even. I would be much more concerned about the Steelers had the Browns not handed them a 5th loss last week. -
Very good in Dallas? They just gave up 28 to Kirk "terrible in prime time" Cousins in their last home game. They did hold the Eagles to 10 in their home game before that one but gave up 34 to the Packers in the home game before that one. I don't really see a reliable trend that suggests their defense plays better at home then on the road. And likewise our offense does not seem to be any worst on the road vs @ home. I expect a close game for those reasons.

I have a good feeling about the Dallas game. Don't know if we will win but I think it's coming down to the wire. I think we will be able to move the ball on them like we do when we play Miami. Should be an exciting game. Not the end of the world if we lose since I rather steal a victory against an AFC opponent like the Ravens or Patriots.

Make a bold stat line prediction for the game today

I think he'll have more receiving yards in this game then rushing. But could end up close to 150 all purpose. -
