  1. Got two for the price of one here! Get them while they last!
  2. Jets got to get their o-line fixed. But they'll probably do something dumb like back up the brinks truck to sign Cooper. The thing that would scare me the most about Darnold if I were a Jets fan is how terrible he is when under serious pressure. Throwing balls up for grabs off his back foot. Even if or when the Jets get a good o-line they will still have games where they get pressured by great defenses. What will Sam do?
  3. Not close in what way? Either would have been a bust. Which is worst? Two firsts for Sammy at #4? Or one first for Benjamin, even if it were at 9? Both are terrible moves. I don't have the stats in front of me but I am guessing they put up about about the same numbers each for their original teams.
  4. Hope they are okay with settling with current Bills director of player personnel and former Carolina Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan.
  5. They're delusional if they think Allen has half the talent of Cam Newton. Even from a mobility standpoint, Allen might have more talent than Newton. Allen continues to be underrated around the league in that regard. The numbers he put up last season on the ground in his final six games dwarfed any six game stretch Newton has ever had. Newton is a bit bigger but which one plays with more fire and more fight? Almost as bad as using two firsts for Sammy.
  6. Bears fans worst nightmare, Mitch heating up late? I figure he is back next season regardless since he is cheap and under contract still. The question will be do they bring in a legitimate alternative to replace or compete with him or not? Or does he play out the end of the season well enough that the Bears go all in with Mitch for one more prove it season. It does feel too early to give up on a QB that hasn't even finished his third season yet. Nice observations Frankish Reich, about the game almost being a mirror image of our game in Dallas a week earlier. Even had a missed first half FG. I mostly only caught the fourth quarter but man, how many times did Dak throw the ball at Zeke's ankles or even in the dirt to him? Jerrah, needs to move on from Dak. I'd seriously think about paying Cooper over Dak. And that offensive line was dominant, in 2015-2016. Three-four years later it is average at best. The entire defense is swiss cheese. The roster as a whole is not nearly as good as everyone in the media makes it out to be.
  7. He's played for Sean McVay and Andy Reid but who would have thought his best years would be in the ground and pound Rex Ryan offense with Bills?
  8. There are a couple worst case scenario's where a 3 game slide has us needing a win and some help to make the playoffs in week 17. Would love to beat the Ravens this week to eliminate any such scenario. I have a pretty good feeling about the Pittsburgh game though. I think the switch to prime time actually helps both our offense and defense. Pittsburgh plays like five prime time games a year so I don't see them getting a motivation bump like our guys will. When the game was scheduled for the early 1pm kick off I saw potential for it to be like the Browns game. One we let slip away.
  9. I'm still hoping for league MVP after the Bills finish 13-3 and and Allen finishes the the last four games with 14 total TD's and 2INTs.
  10. I'd like to clinch next week if at all possible. Beat the Ravens. Steelers lose at Murray and the Cardinals. Titans lose at the Raiders. Could maybe clinch a playoff spot? And oddly enough, I now feel more confident in beating the Steelers with the game moved to Sunday Night for some reason.
  11. Sort of makes sense if we think about it. Allen is just extending the "short passing game" to better fit his arm talent. 11-20 yards is nothing for Allen compared to most of the noodle armed QB's around the league.
  12. Or we need the #6 seed to get really hot and take down New England, presumed #1 seed in the divisional round. Then we could host the #6 seed in the AFCCG. Maybe the Browns? They are already on a roll. Should beat Pittsburgh and would need to upset the Ravens again. Had the Raiders not lost to the Jets last week I could see them with a chance to win the division and Chiefs end up the #6 seed but after the Jets loss that seems unlikely.
  13. The smart thing to do if it were 3rd down but not on 4th.
  14. Jordna Phillips and Shaq Lawson will need to be paid this off-season and they should both receive contracts large enough that put them into our top 5 for next season I would think. I think they sneaked into the wild card though right? They have a legitimate chance this year to be the #1 overall seed in the AFC IF they can get by us next weekend. Plus they possibly have the league MVP. I think Ozzie is still the running.
  15. I think Brady goes lower than Josh. But still, I wouldn't say it is dicey for Allen when he runs them. He's only not converted on one I think from less than a yard? I think he has another stuff or two but they were from 1.5 -2 yards distance. Brady wants to pick up only the yardage needed for the first which is smart. Whereas it seems Josh sometimes wants to try to break the initial line of defenders for a big gain.
  16. Let's just not get too cute if it isn't needed. What is Brady's conversion rate? 99% on like 100 attempts?
  17. I don't recall but I'd be willing to try it again. I think maybe the time you are referring to though was an attempt on like 3rd and 1.5 yards or so. I agree there is a limit to the distance it should be attempted. But I mean at less than a yard. Hard to believe we can't consistently gain positive yardage twice. But it's not an exact science as we know the refs don't always have a clear view of the ball.
  18. I don't mind it if we already know that we are in 4 down territory. Sneak Allen two straight times. If the defense can stop Allen twice then hats off to them. But I doubt they can.
  19. He pointed to one stat. Not sure I would call it much of anything in terms of making a point. He might as well as said nothing which I guess is all he has? I'm honestly baffled though how Allen can have a worst QBR than he does passer rating. That literally makes no sense for a QB who does so many positive things with his legs. It's like who ever computes the QBR stat at ESPN forgot to plug in Allen's 8 rushing TD's or something. Allen actually had a really good QBR last year for a rookie QB and figured it was due to his rushing last season. But why would it be lower this season when he has improved significantly as a passer?
  20. Pretty much exactly what New England does every season. Gel as the season goes on.
  21. Not when he was in Buffalo from what I recall. Maybe after he left? The QBR stat is an odd one that doesn't make sense this year. How is it that Allen, a QB that has so much value added by running, which QBR is supposed to account for in its rating, has a lower QBR ranking than he does traditional passer rating ranking? Allen is ranked 24th in QBR and 22nd in passer rating. I mean honestly, how is that even possible?
  22. He'll definitely be in the mix. I think we'll need to beat Baltimore and finish no worse than 12-4. Baltimore and San Francisco both very deserving as well.
  23. Not surprised actually. Going into this season I recall mentioning that Allen only needs to be a 59%-60% completion QB for the Bills to be successful. This is because of how great he is with his legs in key spots. And I think I even mentioned that if he were to be a 62-65% QB we would be talking about an MVP/HOF level play out of him. And that is looking accurate too. He's at 61.5% now. If he finishes the season around 63 -64% it probably means he had a heck of a finish to the season and we probably beat either Baltimore or New England if not both.
  24. Exactly. No turnovers. Nearly 80% completion percentage. Made plays through the air and on the ground. And showed everyone at home a play they have never seen a QB make before in the 100th NFL season.
  25. We are going to be saying this a lot throughout Allen's 15 year career in Buffalo. Hope it never gets old.
