Well after being above 60% for the entire season he is now at 59% and with only two games left and one of them being against New England I would say odds are he finishes the season sub 60%. But you know what? That's exactly in the range where I felt he needed to be for the Bills to be successful. That 58-60% range. Looks like I was spot on. If Allen ever gets to the 63-65% he'll probably be having an MVP type season. No.

Josh Allen - week FIFTEEN report card
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll give him a B given the circumstances, playing a great D on the road in his very first night primetime game and the stakes being high. Normally with the raw numbers he put up the grade would be a C at best. But the QBR grading system thought he did well giving him a 59 QBR. Only a 65 QB rating that was surely dragged down a lot by the INT that still could have possibly been caught by Beasley, or easily caught by any WR 6'0" tall. I think we do need to take notice to what the Ravens are doing with Jackson and find ourselves more large targets for Allen in the off-season. Let's not forget Brady had Gronk for all those years too. -
Maybe not, but it is the one you felt the need to point out. He didn't play great and perhaps not well but i wouldn't say bad either. If he had this performance against the Jets or Dolphins I would be disappointed. On the road, in prime-time against a top 5 defense? I'm cool with it. I was a big TT supporter when he was here for the record. But his play got worse with each season that he was here. It's all about where you are trending and where your ceiling is. Josh is currently trending in the right direction. And his ceiling is high given his inexperience. Those two factors are going in his favor right now. Also, I recall the national media really loving TT. Even when he was traded to Cleveland. But he was terrible in Cleveland so we haven't heard much about him since he was benched for Baker.

Congratulations sir! You completed "collect all 8 emoji's"! First time I have ever seen a post achieve such varying responses. -
R-E-L-A-X We all want a better offense. And their's no reason to think they won't be better next year. But this is year two of a complete overhaul of the offense. Year two for a young QB that was a big project coming out of the draft. This team is way ahead of schedule and that includes the young QB.

Tyrod was in his 4th or 5th season when he had is breakout year in 2015. Then he regressed some in '16 and '17. I get the similarities in overall numbers this year. But, we love Josh right now because of his immense potential. If he is still struggling as a passer in his 4th season in the NFL then we will probably sour on him pretty quickly. But for now he looks good given his inexperience in the league and expectations for growth. If 2019 is the best Allen we will ever see he won't be on the team beyond 2022

Bills win out and they win the division?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Dafan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. We would need New England to lose to either the Bengals or Dolphins. Could happen but not great odds. I'm sure Fitz would love to beat the Patriots week 17 though to give the Bills the division. I think another round of charity donations would be in order. -
How about MVP Lamar Jackson today?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to ToGoGo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even with the busted coverage how in the heck did they let a 270 lb tight end run 60 yards untouched into the end zone? Alright guys, you busted the coverage but at least run him down and tackle him! -

Bills win out and they win the division?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Dafan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we win out their is a good chance the Patriots are playing in the Wild Card round against us or the Titans/Texans or Steelers. Then they would have two road games if they are lucky enough to win the wild card. Would love to beat the Pats and give KC the #2 seed. -
Ravens Fans Really Mad....
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We didn't even score off the Beasley one. Plus it looked like it was probably a legit call or at worst made up for the no call on Foster earlier in the game. They're were a lot of calls against the Ravens on the final drive, but the game was already close at that point anyway and we didn't score on the final possession so i don't get their beef. -
Guys we are legit

Ravens have a ton of quality wins during their winning streak and half of them were blowout victories. I would say, yes, even with a loss today they could easily still be in the running for best in the league. @ Seattle vs. New England vs. Texans @ Rams vs. 49ers -

Texans and Chiefs are not New England and Baltimore. Chiefs and Texans would be our likely wild card opponents. They both have bad defenses. Which plays into our strength since our defense can limit their offenses and our offense can move the ball against bad defenses. We lose by 6 to the Patriots and 7 to the Ravens, two teams that match up well against us and you don't think we can beat the Texans (or any other team that wins that division) or the Chiefs? Look, it's the playoffs, of course we could lose, but I would fully expect us to have as good a chance as any team playing wild card weekend to win. Allen struggles against good defenses. Not surprising. The MVP today didn't exactly move the ball against a good defense either. One short field and one busted coverage. The only teams we might possibly play wild card weekend that have good defenses, Titans and Colts, have suspect offenses. So again, we will have a good chance either way. -

Agree OP. If there are ever moral victories it was today's game. Poor execution across the board from Allen, to big drops by Beasley and Knox, poor blocking by the line. Inexcusably letting a 270lbs TE out run the entire defense for a 60 yard TD. But we still had our shot in the end against hands down the best team in the league. Next week will be the game really have to have. There won't be any moral victory opportunities against the Steelers. -

I want to punch this Gary guy in the face. He's still talking **** after all these years? -
There is definitely more of a Cam Newton risk to Allen running over and over again. The toll could add up by year 8 or 10 for him as it has for Cam. Allen is being smarter lately with avoiding hits but it will never be completely taught out of him like it has been with Russell Wilson. In fact, despite Allen's talk of this just being another game, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Allen give some extra effort on some runs today. He knows it's a huge game. That said, Jackson is running 50% more than Allen is this year, 140 attempts for Jackson to 93 for Allen. I would say that extra 50% of rush attempts for Jackson would be far more concerning with regards to greater injury risk.

Some Panthers fans' views on McDermott/Beane
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to technobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh I thought you were arguing the opposite, especially after you said some Bills fans wanted to give up the 9th overall for Benjamin. I think we actually agree as I said almost as bad as the Watkins pick, meaning I view the Watkins pick as a bigger bust. We can argue over how "close" they are but the bottom line is they were both busts. I guess in Watkins case, he's at least still playing and even managed to somehow get a big contract still on his second deal despite not living up to expectations as a #1. Shows how physically gifted he is I guess but too bad he doesn't check off the other boxes. -
Devin Singletary vs Leveon Bell 2019 Stats
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well said. He basically gave up what at the time was a pretty good shot at the HOF for what he thought would be more $$. HOF seems like an incredible long shot now having missed an entire season and now putting up less than pedestrian numbers with the Jets. Two wasted years under the age of 30. Not going to get better for him as he ages.
