I wonder how often the Jets have been blitzed on average the last couple of seasons. Maybe the thought process for opposing defenses has been that their o-line is so bad, we can get their with just 4 guys consistently so leave the extra guys in coverage. As for their new o-line, the positive IMO for the Jets is that they really can't get any worse than they were last year. They might be just as bad as last year, but very unlikely they are worse by an meaningful measure. So that leaves the chance that they are actually quite a bit improved. I recall the Bills were in a similar situation a season or two ago with almost all knew starters after having a pretty dismal unit the season prior. I'm expecting the opposite of what most would think would unfold today. I'd like to see us put 30 on the scoreboard but I think the Jets offense might also put up 20+.

Diggs, Brown, Beasley & Gabe Davis o/u 3,000 receiving yards? UNDER Allen o/u 30 total TDs? OVER Diggs o/u 1,200 receiving yards? UNDER Tre o/u 4.5 INTs? UNDER Motor o/u 1,000 rushing yards? UNDER Moss o/u 6.5 TDs? UNDER Addison o/u 8 sacks? UNDER Allen o/u 60% completion? OVER Gabe Davis o/u 400 receiving yards? UNDER Bills o/u 10.5 wins? OVER Except for Allen and wins I'm a bit of a buzz kill on these.

Josh Rosen - the perfect push

I'll admit, that game he had against Texas A&M was one for the ages. Unfortunately that was the pinnacle of his football career. -
Josh Rosen - the perfect push

Yes. He probably can be. And that's strictly on the field. He's probably without a doubt much worse than Barkely in the locker room and film room. Agreed. He's had more than enough opportunities to somehow end up in New England by now too. You would think if he had any kind of potential in this league BB would have brought him in by now. -
Bills vs Jets what’s the game plan

True. But i just think this could be different. Having no fans in the stands to play for. Plus, the offenses should be able to focus and communicate much better. -

Everyone is sleeping on the Jets offense. For good reason on paper. But something tells our D plays down to their level. Bills still win but it might be something like 31-20 giving up more points to the Jets offense then we would like. I'm curious what kind of factor no crowd will have on the defensive units and their energy and the offenses ability to focus better week one. -
Fitzmagic vs T-Mobile

He has to at least play like Buffalo Tyrod though, and preferably not like year three Buffalo Tyrod. He was terrible in Cleveland. So if the Chargers are getting Cleveland Tyrod, I think they'll be playing the rookie by week 6. -
SaviorEdwards might be the only one? And probably a couple Jest fans.

I could be wrong but I feel like he missed a couple of kicks just before that. So maybe it was a coincidence? Feel like we have had good success with kickers when they come to Buffalo in their first year. Carpenter was great his first year. Hauschka too. Maybe we just need to sign guys to one year deals.

Youse ready for part deuce?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The answer needs to be Darnold if the Jets hope to have even an okay season. It should be Darnold because the Bills are going to be the more complete team not having to really on high scoring games and will have a better ground game both with their RB's and Allen adding rushing TD's. So I will not be surprised if Darnold tosses a couple TD's then Allen but that would be about it. But I mostly agree with those in the clip that due to team circumstances Allen might throw more. -
NFL Sunday Ticket 2020
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has anyone noticed, those flyers DirecTV sends out almost weekly, they don't even advertise Sunday Ticket anymore? It seems 5 - 10 years ago those flyers would have an entire page dedicated to Sunday Ticket. Now they don't even bother advertising Sunday Ticket. -
Same here. I was a anyone by JA guy at the time. I think everyone including probably Beane and McDermott are probably taken back by how athletic Josh Allen is at the NFL level. He never dominated at Wyoming with his legs like he does in the NFL. It's rare that a QB actually becomes more dominant with their legs at the next level. The Texans playoff game was a perfect example of his athletic ability. Can't think of another QB that could have a 50 yard rush and a 20 yard TD reception on the same series.

Despite your opinion of those players, the 2015 and 2016 offenses statistically as a collective group were the best we've ever had since 2002, Bledsoe's first season with us. And it's not really close. Sure the bar was low but still, it was a big turn-around for the offense and just 1-2 years removed from the 4th ranked defense in both points and yards. The expectation for this year is that the 2020 Bills offense will be much improved but statistically they probably won't be better than the '15 and '16 offenses. If they are we should probably cruise to a division title.

Gilmore's down fall here was due in part to Rex Ryan. The defense went from top 5 to bottom half of the league. Talented or not, Gilmore did not seem to be a puzzle piece that was worth spending somewhat significant money on to re-sign. I think if we had a top 10 defense still under Rex then Whaley may have been more inclined to see the value in Gilmore. He also had his injury history early on in his career missing 14 out of 80 games in 5 years. Not terrible but not ideal either. Questions remained if he was injured in his early 20's how would his body hold up as he approached his 30's.

They were much better on that side in 2015. I think top 10 in scoring. On paper I think we are a better offensive team now but we'll have to see if that translates to the field or not this year. But Rex came in and made a top 5 defense a bottom half of the league defense. Whaley never really had a good situation here in terms of head coaches. How much of that is his own fault I don't know.

Agree with all of this. The 2014 and 2015 teams were loaded with talent. One more year of Marrone and Schwartz with the addition of Tyrod in 2015 and the drought would have likely ended a couple years earlier. The good news is, as loaded as those rosters were in 2014 and 2015, it looks like we are even more loaded now. same here. was about 6-9 years old for all four of them. Man, if they got just the first one and still lost the next three in a row they would probably be in the conversation still for one of the greatest dynasties of all time.
