  1. Am I in the minority in wanting to see Allen use his legs more in this game? The Jets game was a bit overkill with the running. But these last two games Allen has barley used his legs at all. Which was fine when we were scoring. But that second half of the Rams game felt like it was begging for a couple Allen runs to get the chains moving and stop the 29-0 run the Rams went on. I live in Bakersfield. But grew up in SLO county. Having lived in the valley now for about 8 years I LOVE that Josh is "valley grown".
  2. I'm not confident in the Under.
  3. I'd have Wilson as the clear number one based on his defense being so bad. They've needed all of his TD's to win for the most part (similar to Allen). And SOS wise ATL, DAL, NE is a little tougher than NYJ, MIA, LAR. The other three could really go in any order but for arguments sake I'll put Allen at #2 for similar reasons as Wilson at #1. Our defense unfortunately has not been good this year and Allen has not been supported by a league leading rushing attack (like in Green Bay).
  4. And in other news, I heard Mike Sando who is known for his QB ranking tiers on one of the sports talk shows yesterday. He seemed to be treading lightly still with regards to Allen. He still had a lot of concerns about turnovers popping up down the road it sounded like. Not sure if he has come out with his updated tier yet but I'll be interested to see where he has Allen when he does release them.
  5. I never saw his JucCo film. And I have to believe his production at Wyoming held a lot more weight in his evaluation. Running threat? Yes. But I never thought he'd put up the greatest 6 game rushing performance the NFL had seen from a QB in his rookie year. Since surpassed by Lamar in 2019. Josh Allen has nearly developed into the total package as a QB. The arm of Mahomes, Body of Cam, rushing threat of Lamar. He's close to that unicorn.
  6. Nice. Was never in doubt really after the Miami game. Mahomes made a late charge but Allen would have basically had to put up a near goose egg to not win it.
  7. It wasn't shown as consistently in college, for whatever reason. And he's been better in the PROS is what I am getting at. As a rookie he put up the best rushing season since Mike Vick, until Jackson had his season last year. Nobody saw that coming.
  8. He's some how more of an athlete and bigger running threat at the next level than he was in college. I think most everyone missed on that. It's rare a guy becomes a scarier runner at the next level. I certainly didn't know he was this athletic where as we all knew Cam, Jackson and Murray were super athletes coming out.
  9. Maybe. I thought Jackson's body language and demeanor was pretty poor last night in the second half. I don't think I've seen similar from Josh Allen.
  10. Should we believe the video game numbers? Perhaps not. But at this point even a falling back for Allen would likely mean 60+ percent completion, 280 ypg and 2.5 TDs per game. I think we'll take that average every Sunday.
  11. Had Allen taken back to back sacks late in the game plus the strip sack a drive or two before that all we would hear about is how Allen imploded. I don't think we heard much at all about Jackson melting down in the fourth quarter though. I hate the terms imploding or melting down to describe Allen. It's far more accurate to describe it as trying to make a play. And the special thing about Allen is he can take a 12 yard sack on second down and pick up enough on 3rd and 22 to either convert or get you in position to convert on 4th an 4.
  12. I think it is still to early to call. However, I am buying Allen > Jackson. But Jackson can still be pretty darn good. Chiefs have one of the best defenses in the NFL IMO. They are underrated. I also think Murray will ultimately be better than Jackson. So I guess I buy that Jackson is not the second coming. But I think he still sticks around and is a top 10 QB most seasons.
  13. Exactly. Allen just does it with flare and style.
  14. It's week to week and it seldom makes sense most of the time. How do the Chargers put the clamps on the Chiefs last week but then can't stop the Panthers this week?
  15. Silly or not I think it will gain more relevance as the years go on. With guys like Jackson, Allen and Murray I expect this record to change hands a few times in the coming years. And the total TD record through three games that Wilson set today could very well be matched or bettered by one three I mentioned in the next few years by some sort of combination of passing and rushing TD's.
  16. It's partly because the NFL has never seen QB's that have the potential to both throw for 40+TD's and run for 10+ until the last couple years. Guys like Murray, Jackson and Allen might not set the passing TD record. But I could see one of them setting the total TD record for a QB in the coming years.
  17. I'm not usually superstitious but I think all teams should no go for 2 if they find themselves up 27-3 after scoring a TD.
  18. Yep. Not all teams will be as good as the rams on offense but still they are leaky. Thank god our offense is elite now.
  19. We are officially an offensive lead football team. What a game. Wilson is going to have to have a hell of a game AND win to stay in the lead for MVP. No doubt he can do it but it should be a great race all season long.
  20. I get what he is thinking there though. Throw it to his 6-6" TE and let him make a play. Now if that was thrown to Brown or Beasley that would be a bigger issue.
  21. Worried about our run defense long term. Rams have been rolling most the game but they've had some miscues and our D has bent but not broken for the most part.
