Gameday Thread Week 7 1st Half Bills @ Jets
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason Allen turns the ball over a ton against the Jets. Big reason why jets fans think Allen is garbage. At least the Jets are bad enough that we can typically overcome the turnovers. Rather Allen be a turnover machine against a bad Jets team than all the good teams. -

Gameday Thread Week 7 PreGame Bills @ Jets

Crowder being out is a huge loss for the Jets. He's really the only consistent playmaker on their team. Haha. Nice. I see that was right after we took the lead 17-16. That would have been a great game to be at. Although those first three quarters must have been unbearable. The final two minutes would have been worth it. -
looks good to me too, though the pros say you are never supposed to buy through the zero. I have a six team teaser I bet early in the week that I feel less confident about now after the lines moved a full 2- 3 points in the opposite direction Bills -7 Titans +8 Chiefs -3.5 Chargers -1.5 49ers +8.5 Cardinals + 9.5 If I had to guess of the six games above Chiefs and Chargers are most likely to wreck me. I typically try to avoid Jags games like the plague because I never know which Minshew will show. The Titans line is the only one that moved in my favor. Bills and Chiefs moved the other way about 3 points each.

I really like the Claypool bet. My thinking is Big Ben is really going to have to air it out a lot in this one. Last week Claypool only had 4 targets (still had 70 yards) but Big Ben had a season low 22 attempts because they were blowing the Browns out. The week before Claypool had 11 targets on only 34 attempts. He was close to that 120 yard mark in that game with 110. This could be a game potentially where Big Ben airs it out 40+ times. He's had many games like that in the past. I need the game to be close or for the Steelers to be down a couple scores unlike last week.

I'm trying my luck at some long odd player parlay props this week. Gabe Davis 100+ yards and 1+ TD at +1400 Gabe Davis 2+ TD's +1700 Claypool 120+ yards 1+ TD +1350 Looking for two more to play before tomorrow.

A couple Baker Mayfield votes? Must be our members with fat fingers using their phone to vote. I voted: Allen 1st and Herbert 2nd Herbert looks really good. Very small sample size but he has great size and athletic ability like Allen and has been making some big boy throws. I'd probably have Kyler Murray 3. Really, outside of Mayfield all these guys could be really good. Time for the old guard, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Big Ben, Matt Ryan to call it a career and let the young guys take over.

I bet both for fun. the 2+ TD's is actually +1700 too. Would be a bummer if he had 2 TD's but only 80 yards and I won nothing because I didn't bet the second one. I've been having a poor year overall betting lines so I feel like playing a handful of player prop bets just for fun. They have Allen at 3+ TD's and 400+ yards for +1700 but that's way too many yards. Maybe if it goes down to 350 I might bet it.

Darnold to start Sunday for Jets
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like for the offense to find it's groove again. Put it in the end zone at least four times. At this point I'm expecting the worst from the defense at this point until they can show me otherwise. But the offense has to get back on track. Especially with games against New England and Seattle. Would like to get at least a split in those two games. -

Expect the Jets to score more but also turn the ball over more. With Flacco, Bills probably win by 24+ but with Darnold it could be a 10 point win. Still hoping for like 35-3. -
I didn't watch the game except for the Patriots final possession but the box score doesn't show that the Patriots defense struggled much at all. They held the Broncos to 299 total yards of offense, held them to 4/14 on third down, 4.7 yards per play, didn't give up a TD. The Patriots offense turned the ball over three times. I'm guessing the Broncos got at least a couple of their field goals off those turn overs. And in the fourth quarter they picked off Lock twice to give their offense a chance to win the game.

Allen’s weapons relative to Tenn/KC
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC really is an embarrassment of riches at the skill position. So often people will rattle off their skill players Hill, Watkins, Hardman, Edwards-Helaire and I'm like damn that's pretty good. And then I remember they didn't even mention Kelcey. -
Are people actually trashing Josh Allen? This was literally his first bad game all year. Prior he was a legit MVP candidate. The team has sucked the last two games from top to bottom on both sides of the ball. And also just so happens we played likely the two best teams in the conference. We'll know a lot more about this team and Allen when we face the Patriots and Seahawks. But brace yourselves because I'm not at all expecting a real good game from Allen and the offense against the Pats who can shut down Mahomes even.

Titans are very good. But at the same time their wins other than their blow out victory against us were by: 1 point 2 points 3 points and 6 points in Over Time. They could be 1-4. Or anything in between. But obviously they are legit as they've just been winning since Tannehill became the starter last season. But they are beatable just looking at how close their other games have been.

Remember the JA to Wentz comparisons?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to DCofNC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Josh Allen is having an incredible year. The one beat down you point out was largely due to the players around Josh playing poorly. And even with that beat down Bills are still 4-1 and Josh is 3rd in QBR and 4th in passer rating. The point you are trying to make doesn't hold any water. -

I'm not sure incredible is the word to use. He was literally like the worst QB in the NFL through the first three weeks. What's so incredible about that? I get that his offensive personnel is not fully healthy and good right now but let's not say he is doing an amazing job when he was rated as the worst QB. Good for him that he finally had a below average game today instead of a terrible game. That said, i won't write it him off. The team will get better and he might also step up his game to the level he's shown he can play at. There are some similarities between Wentz and Allen but I think it really just comes down to size and 40 times. Other than I think Allen has far more potential. But we'll see. -

They're also a really good team since Tannehill has taken over. One of the best in the league over that time period. What was not excusable was how we pretty much didn't even show up. -

Honestly I don't think it matter much. On the other hand you could say if you just kick the PAT there then when you do eventually score another TD and go for 2 to cut it either to a 3pt game or tie it up you really have the opposing defense on their heels and without any moment because by this point you would have scored at least two straight TD's to get back into the game.
