  1. Another way to look at this debate as well is that it is a bet against Allen. If one acknowledges that Allen was the better QB last year, and while that is certainly up for debate I think there's definitely a strong case to be made that he was. If one chooses Mahomes then in the end we are betting that in the next 15 years to come despite Allen being the better QB last season by a smidge or whatever perceived difference one chooses, more often than not and at least 8 out of the next 15 years Mahomes will have the better season. Looking at just last year and not taking any other years prior into account then taking either side of that bet would feel like flipping a coin. But of course it is the years prior for both players that makes it feel like Mahomes is the sure thing or safer option compared to Allen even though that's likely not reality now given the here and now.
  2. Well one way to look at this is that it is completely irrelevant what either QB did beyond just last season. Just looking at last season can you tell who the better QB was? Statistically they were near identical in both passer rating and QBR. And they both heavily carried their teams. Neither was a low attempt QB or completely carried or bailed out by a great defense. Taking everything into account; schedule, offensive weapons, team defense etc. I think I would say Allen by a smidge. The questions really becomes how much weight should we give the past. Allen couldn't complete a pass his rookie year. But how is that even relevant to today? Half those receivers are not even in the league anymore and hell Mahomes didn't even play his rookie year.
  3. One QB is 6'5" 240 and plays like a cross between Big Ben, Cam Newton and Brett Favre. I would say that is the one with the higher ceiling. I would expect BOTH QB's to become better QB's, but not necessarily put up better numbers. What I mean by that is that perhaps we have seen the best statistical season from Mahomes already. Kelce is likely not in his prime anymore like he was in Mahomes first three seasons starting. Hill likely not quite as fast. Either or both of these things could mean Mahomes highest ceiling is never reached again even if he himself becomes a better QB. Same could also be true for Allen of course as well with the exception that Allen has never played three seasons with two elite future HOF receivers in their prime.
  4. It's truly incredible how bad that supporting cast was for Allen his rookie year. At the time we didn't really know it because it was like, well, the QB is kind of raw too and he's a rookie so maybe these guys are being held back by the guy throwing the ball? But now three years later we know that three of the main receivers that year never played another down of football after that season. Andre Holmes, Charley Clay and Kelvin Benjamin. And it's not like these guys were 35 years old. They just weren't good anymore. Foster? His career year was Allen's rookie year and since then he's moved on to another team and been irrelevant. Zay Jones? Same story as Foster. Career year with Allen and irrelevant with the Raiders. McCoy? Allen's rookie year was his last year as a lead back. Then Beasley and Brown show up in 2019 and boom both have career years with Allen. Diggs comes in 2020 and has a career year. There seems to be a strong trend of players teaming up with Allen and Allen getting the most out of those players. I'm excited about Sanders coming in. It's probably unrealistic to expect Sanders to have a career year with Allen at the age of 34 but I think 900+ yards is a strong possibility which would be a return to real relevance for him.
  5. Could be bad and good. Would be nice if the Chargers could hand the Chiefs one or two losses a year.
  6. The amazing thing about Julio is his inability to score TD's over his entire career compared to the all time greats like Moss, Owens and Jerry Rice. Other than Andre Johnson who really struggled to score TD's, Julio is one of the best to ever play to have a low TD rate. Other than that though he is a fantastic player who likely still has a couple years left of high level production.
  7. Can anyone suggest a good hotel to stay at the weekend of a game? Do some tend to have more Bills fans out and about then others? It sounds like Bar Bill on Main Street in East Aurora should be a destination. Are their good hotels or motels in that area or is it better to stay down town or near the airport?
  8. Tease Dallas, Washington, Seattle, 49ers, Miami, Baltimore.
  9. Yeah. I like to do 6 leg teasers. Payouts are +600 so you only have to hit on them once every 5 weeks or so to keep even money. If I do anything with this game it might be to tease the Under up to 57.5 A score of 30-27 with Pittsburgh's defense and Offense feels like a ton of points. 7-9? No way. We just came off a 10-6 season where we forfeited the last game so really a 11-5 season. Most people had us winning the division before last season started. I don't think anyone had us below 9-7.
  10. Wow. Bills PR team has really taken it up a few notches with their videos now that we are good again. I like it.
  11. I wish Tyrod the best but he has greatly regressed from his first two seasons in Buffalo. His final season here was bad and he's been even worst than that final season with us since then. Hopefully he can find his groove again but at this point in his career it seems unlikely.
  12. What exactly is wrong with any of these moves OP? They all look legitimate to me. If Watson's legal troubles never arise they probably never draft Mills or any QB in this years draft and go into the season with Watson, Tyrod and Finley. That's perfectly normal. But at this point who knows what Watson's status is for this season. But it is leaning towards him not playing.
  13. Maybe if they play a lot of 20mph wind games this year.
  14. What's with the the cougar in the polka dots? Everyone is like mid 30's or younger and she's got to be in her 50's.
  15. Over/Under on 1.5 TD receptions for Spencer Brown this year? Set it at 1.5 because I think at least 1 is a near certainty. 6'8", former TE and highest athletic score for a lineman in history.
  16. His hands are are over 11". Might be the largest in the NFL or at least not many larger. The guy Miami took only has 9 3/4" hands despite being 6'6. One of the knocks on Rousseau i have seen is that some of his sacks were coverage sacks and shoelace tackles. But I was thinking with those massive hands he might be a unique player in the NFL that gets a number of tackles and sacks with his hands. Those hands would be like bricks hitting a QB's feet.
  17. 6'7" my ass! He was slouching!
  18. I see what you are saying but a no-look pass in my book is not looking at where the ball is being thrown. Allen while not looking at McKenzie when the ball is thrown is looking at where he is throwing the ball. Really good play by Allen either way to stare down one side of the field with his his eyes and body motion and at the last second throw it to a different spot.
  19. What the hell happened to the Broncos? They just love perpetually putting themselves in QB purgatory now. They know they got to try and beat Mahomes and Herbert right? Yeah. x10
  20. The narrative on Singletary would be a lot different if he catches that third down pass in the AFC championship game. That one play alone has put a permanent scar in the memory of Bills fans. Not because we would have somehow won the game but just because it was the only memorable thing he did in that game and it completely killed a drive. And he probably catches that pass 8 or 9 times out of 10.
