  1. this loss hurt a lot. It’s becoming clear that there will be a lot of QB’s with great stats. The one that will win will probably be the one that is on the tree am that goes 16-1 or 15-2. Allen and the Bills can still do that, just less room for error. how often does the QB that wins MVP not come from the #1 seed out of either conference? But again, Allen and the Bills probably still the favorite to grab that seed in the AFC. But problem is, if Murray in the NFC has similar or better stats and same or better record it will be hard for Allen to beat him.
  2. You see the Bills giving up 45 points and like 800 yards tonight? I think that is around what it would take for them to drop off from #1 scoring and yardage defnese
  3. Flores is in year 3 and the Dolphins have regressed since year 2. McDermott went from 6-10 to 10-6 in year 3 (really 11-5 because we benched everyone the final week against the Jets). McDermott also broke a 17 year playoff drought his first year. And that meant something even if he and team stumbled ass backwards into the playoffs to do so.
  4. They've run the score up four straight weeks so that's probably a safe bet. Let's keep the streak of 3+ score victories going.
  5. Problem with that is opponents will gladly give up 200+ on the ground and increase the number of plays the Chiefs have to use to put the ball in the end zone. Every additional play is a chance for a holding penalty, fumble etc. And the two Bills games last year I think proved which method keeps a game closer. The Chiefs dominated both games but the scoreboard showed a one score game late in the fourth quarter in the first match up where the Chiefs ran for 250 yards.
  6. LOL. Hardman was a first round pick? I honestly would have guessed street free agent signing post draft over a 1st round pick. The CEH pick has to be the worst though. I mean contrast it with Beane who is taking RB's just as good if not better than CEH and taking them two rounds later. And Beane gets talent at one of the five most crucial positions on a team in the first two rounds, DE and interior D-line. I'm going to be nauseous and nervous as ever going into the Bills first play off game no matter who they play. Especially if they have the #1 seed and are coming off not playing meaningful football for two or three weeks.
  7. Yep. Another reason why Beane is a genius. Both our 3rd round RB’s are every bit as good as CEH if not bet r even. And they are both completely interchangeable and can play all 3 downs.
  8. Everyone likes to crap on QBR but I don’t really get the hate. Over a large enough sample size QBR is as good as any metric if the goal is to predict the best teams and best QB’s. But remember that no metric is without outliers. Take ANY/A vs QBR from last season. 2021 top 5 QBR: 1. Rodgers 2. Mahomes 3. Allen 4. Tannehill 5. Fitzpatrick (only started 7 games and appeared in 2 more) 6. Drew Brees 2021 top 5 ANY/A: 1. Rodgers 2. Mahomes 3. Watson 4. Tannehill 5. Allen I would say QBR nailed the top 3 for 2020. Fitzpatrick is the outlier and you figure if he started 15 games instead of 9 he likely would not have kept pace. So the real #5 was probably Brees.
  9. Bingo. I still think both QBR and passer rating largely tell us who the good QB’s are and they tend to follow the good QBs on good teams still. With the exception of Watson last year, I believe Allen, Rodgers and Mahomes were in the top 3/4 of both QBR and passer rating. And you could definitely argue those were the three best offenses last year. I fully expect Allen to finish in the top 5 of both this year again. But at the same time we are so early in the season and we are seeing amazing QB play from it seems like more QB’s than usual right now.
  10. he’s already on an straight upward trajectory. Take away the the first two weeks and he’s one of the highest rated QBs over the last three weeks. Maybe the highest.
  11. I want to say Bills were favorites going into the Titans game last year.
  12. Dang. Why do they got to single out Vita Vea like that?
  13. I think this is some good forecasting. At the moment, there’s a lot of quarterbacks that have better overall numbers than Allen and are also helping their teams win. But Allen is starting to heat up in the schedule for the most part is incredibly soft coming up. And most importantly, one of the single most important factors in MVP determination is team record. A lot of quarterbacks end up having good stats. But 90% of the time the award tends to go to the quarterback that is on the number one seed in their conference. And with the upcoming strength of schedule Allen and the bills have the most likely odds of any team to finish number one in their respective conference.
  14. It's either all of them or none of them. All of them because that's just how I feel when watching a Bills game. None of them because I think this team can beat every team left on the schedule including the Bucs. But even better, I feel like there is a 0.0001% chance this team could ever be on the wrong side of a blow out like most teams, even good ones, can from time to time.
  15. I didn't know either but when I read your post I thought I'd go back and check the date.
  16. @Alphadawg7 Time to update that Avatar! Let's paint it red.
  17. You lucky bastards in KC right now! You played with fire and won. Looked like a good amount of Bills fans in the stadium. Happy for them all.
  18. Which is awesome that we already got ours out of the way. No extra pressure.
  19. I feel like we are a little more diverse on offense than the Chiefs.
  20. We could be talking 2007 Patriots type scoring differential but with the title to end the season hopefully.
  21. Agreed. The optics on that play were far worst then any actual contact Tre made. But it's just one of those bad luck plays for Tre and the Bills. The flag pretty much has to be thrown their or you never hear the end of the "Chiefs got jobbed" crowd.
  22. Yep. And the book really is written now on how to slow the Chiefs offense. Only ever rush 4 and drop the safeties deep on every play. Essentially shut down their big plays make them work for it and even the best QB's while having to dink and dunk down the field will throw tip pass interceptions and fumble snaps.
