Receiver separation is still BAD
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
But the deep ball is easily Allen’s worst ability as a thrower. -
Who has been the best Bills player not named Josh Allen?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Benford and Rousseau for me. But it really is a tough choice. A lot of guys playing at a high level through the first 8 weeks. -
Week 8 - Bills @ Seahawks - 1st half game thread
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's really never been anything wrong with 3 TD / 2INT Josh. You can live with the turnovers if they consistently come with 3 TD's. 0 INT's doesn't get your team any points on the score board. What's better? 3 TD's and 2 INT's? or 1TD and 0 INT's? Most of the time I much rather have the 3 TD's on the board. -
James Lofton 1989 and Amari Cooper 2024
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same could have been said about Reed entering the 1989 season. Entering his 5th year he didn’t have a HOF resume. He had one 900 yard season up to that point. -
Josh Allen has lost a step.
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
playing so “slow” physically and mentally that he is still 4th in passer rating and number 1 in the league in QBR. Even after the two game stretch against Ravens and Texans. He’s 1st and 4th in the two most commonly accepted efficiency metrics after just having completed the toughest 3 game stretch of the schedule. another case of the standard for Josh and the Bills offense to be perfect basically every game. It’s fine to strive for that every game but we as fans know this is not the way the game has ever been for any team. Let’s not forget as well that this team was supposed to be in a mini rebuild this year with Shakir being the only we on the roster that had ever caught a pass from Allen. -
Godwin injury ... hip drop???
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
When it comes to hip drop tackles, you know it when you see it. They stand out like a sore thumb. As OP said, this looks like a regular play and tackle. This is not a hip drop. That said, I pretty much expect the league office will say it is a hip drop and issue a fine. But in my book, clean tackle here. If I recall, Allen was tackled week one or two I think on a play that was maybe, kind of, sort of a hip drop tackle. It certainly looked more hip dropish than this tackle on Godwin. But no flag or fine was given for the play. Which again I agreed with because hip drop tackles will be obvious. There is not maybe when you see them. -
It's like the well known saying "football is the ultimate team sport" has lost all meaning. People can't look past the Super Bowls. Don't look behind the curtain where you will find a great HC, great defense, especially in the post season, and the leagues best defensive player.

You are correct OP. Individually speaking, Josh Allen isn't as good as Mahomes. Over these last two seasons Josh is better than Mahomes.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
why could it not happen before 17 game season? you would just need both out of conference teams that were in conference title game the year before to be from the same division. Very infrequent yes, but not impossible. -
Alec Anderson & teammates at Sabres game…
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s going to catch a TD this year at some point right? -
I still fear them far less than the Ravens, Texans (with Nico) and Bengals. Assuming Ravens and Texans on the road and Bengals at home. I don't really care where we play the Chiefs. Chiefs vs. Bills have been one score games for like 5 straight games now with the Bills taking 3 out of the 5. Their defense is good, but Allen also seems to play some of his best ball against them.
-
They have a 14-3 defense still though. Combine that with Mahomes and they will still win a lot of games. They have to be the favorite for the one seed. Texans and Ravens all hoping we can hand them their first loss in a few weeks. Or second if the Broncos can somehow pull off a miracle. They do tend to play them tough.
-
And the Chiefs are 6-0. Not, Mahomes is 6-0 and Allen is 5-2. That is the OP's point. Speaking of the QB's. Allen is statistically the best QB in the league by several highly regarded metrics. Mahomes, by most metrics is statistically an average or even perhaps below average QB after today's games. Edit: I see you are correcting OP's post. I thought you were slighting Allen as being 5-2 and Mahomes 6-0.

Don't let him out of the building!

Yeah .that one should have been a no call. Could have just as easily been offensive PI on Ridley. -

50% TD percentage isn’t bad though. -
10/20/24 Game 7 GAMEDAY Bills vs Titans 2nd half thread
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we all slept on the Titans #1 ranked defense. #1 in total yards by a wide margin. #1 against the pass at only allowing 137 yards per game. That is a crazy low total. -
10/20/24 Game 7 GAMEDAY Bills vs Titans 1st half thread
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let’s remember that the Titans do somehow have the leagues #1 yardage defense going into this gam and looks like that won’t change after this week. Our offensive woes today make a lot more sense. -
Looks like Josh Allen 2.0 at QB for Wyoming
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm in. I already love him over Trubisky. -
I would say he was washed up, but he was never good to begin with. Like others have mentioned one of the most overrated players of all time.
