  1. Meh. This won’t be Josh’s last sub 20 passer rating game. Guarantee that. But, Josh is not a one trick pony and the Bills don’t win this game without the work he did with his legs. But nobody should be shocked are mad when these games happen. It is what it is and I fully expect them. Could have been worst like the Jacksonville game where he didn’t do crap through the air or the ground.
  2. It’s been a crazy year. Allen was doing everything right in this game until he wasn’t. His athelitic ability alone helped get us a W but those INTs helped to make the game much closer than it should have been. After the first quarter it was looking like Allen was on his way to a 4 or 5 TD game and he actually would be a legitimate candidate. Now I’m thinking Joe Burrow maybe? Could be a really strange year where 4-5 guys all get like 4 or 5+ votes.
  3. Back in business. Jacksonville debacle diverted for now. just run it with Allen and Motor from here on out. Sprinkle in some safe throws.
  4. Everyone needs to stop and appreciate the great play there by Allen taking the safe play and picking up a huge conversion on the ground. deep breaths
  5. he looked good to start the game. So I don’t think it’s a let down. He would have come out bad in the first series.
  6. Yep. After the first drive it looked like Allen was going to have a great day through the air. Not sure what has happened since.
  7. How many times are we going to allow Stevenson to run into his own blockers before we bench him?
  8. I understand that but I don't see any need to give teams more film on McKenzie in our offense. Should be able to handle the Flacons and Jets without much contribution from McKenzie. Roll primarily with Davis, Diggs, Beasley today.
  9. I'd like to see Beasley involved a lot in this game and save McKenzie for the playoffs. Teams don't have a ton of film on McKenzie this year. Catch a team by surprise maybe.
  10. how much did we actually nurture him though? It was probably a blessing he inured his elbow to get some more time learning in the film room. But I’ve always thought Allen’s athletic ability would have enabled him to succeed anyway. It’s not like the Bills had a great supporting cast around him his rookie year. so many other fans of other teams always say, “yea if he was a Jet or Bronco he would have flamed out just like Darnold or Locke” I think that greatly undersells Allen’s own talents though. And since Allen was not surrounded by the best offensive talent his first year I don’t really buy that argument. Even the talent around him his second year was only average at best.
  11. @Zerovoltz is pretty good at explaining how the Broncos screwed up the top of rhe 2018 draft. I’ve always looked at it as just terrible timing for the Broncos. They just failed twice with big project QB’s in Oz and Lynch. And Lynch was mobile like Allen too. There was no way Elway could sell swinging for the fences again for a similar type prospect. Of course the irony of it all is that even more so than Oz and Lynch, Elway could not have crafted his prototypical QB in his mind better than the real Josh Allen entering that draft. And coming out of Woyming of all schools! Right in their backyard. please tell me their GM from that draft is unemployed.
  12. Do you have a point? James gets crucified all the time for voicing his opinion on social media.
  13. Was checking out other players. Murray has a chance to join the club next year but he's got to stay healthy. He'll need to throw about 30 TD's which would be a career high. Watson was very close in his first four years. Three rushing TD's shy. Jackson is 16 passing TD's shy so he won't be making it.
  14. I really like Carr. He’s definitely under valued. That said a mutual split is probably for the best at this point even if Carr claims he would retire before playing for another team. His situation is becoming very similar to the Lions and Matthew Stafford. Yes, Raiders have many problems all over the roster but the bottom line is if you only have one playoff appearance in 8 years with the same QB and that QB doesn’t have elite top 3 QB potential then it is only a matter of time before a divorce is in order. And it would be best for both parties. Carr is another centra valley kid like Allen too. Another plus.
  15. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oh4BipnMthU 2:30 minute mark. 55 yard Hail Mary to the Bills 2 yard line.
  16. I see the possibility of 4 or 5 guys all receiving votes. Not sure if Josh will be runner up but he should definitely receive at least a vote or 2.
  17. It's not worse than 20 other teams though. Factoring out rushing yards contributed by QB's Green Bay rises to 11th in the league. A quick look at some of the QB's putting up big rushing numbers this year: Stathead QB Rushing YPG When accounting for only total rushing yards contributed by RB's for each team Green Bay climbs to 11th in the league at 1400 yards. Buffalo falls to 23rd in the league at 1095 yards. I'm surprised actually that the Bills are not bottom 5. Stathead RB Total Rushing Yards
  18. I do notice that it seems the entire division outside of the Jets has certainly taken advantage of all of the average to very bad offenses. And it seems like there has been more than usual this year for all three teams, Bills, Pats and Dolphins. It is really amazing the terrible offenses the Dolphins have played on their current winning streak. The one big difference between the Dolphins and the Bills is that the Bills are beating these bad teams by 20+ points on average. Where as the Dolphins are winning by a more normal 10 point margin on average. The Dolphins suddenly went from like average in a lot of defensive categories to like #1 over their current winning streak. They sacked that poor Saints QB like 8 times the other night? I do think the Bills and Pats have also benefited from playing a lot of the similar poor offenses. And the Bills will hopefully continue to benefit with the Falcons and Jets coming to town to finish out the season.
  19. Man I was so hungover the next morning. New Years Eve AND the Bills broke their 17 year drought. Bad combo.
  20. I think there is a strong case to be made that their better running game and the lack of a running game is a major difference in both teams win/loss records. And I've always said win/loss records have been at least 50% of the criteria for MVP. So in that sense Allen is handicapped a great deal by the Bills total lack of a running game. Less impact on making Aaron Rodgers who he is but a much greater impact on wins/losses.
  21. Tasker would pave the way for Mathew Slater to get in down the road too I would think.
