Another high end CB should probably be high up on the list. Anyone know how CB's fair coming back from ACL injuries? While ACL's are not the career enders they once were, of all the positions I would think CB's would be the ones affected the most from those type of injuries. The o-line has looked quite a bit better these last few weeks. With any luck they will continue to look good in the playoffs and then maybe we don't have to spend nearly all our capital on revamping the o-line in the off-season.

Interesting article on the playoff QB's.
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Bruce Smith's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem is for a QB like Allen who can take over a game with his legs an passing only statistic is kind of useless. That said, it is a good sign that he is still ranked highly in a passing only statistic when he would obviously be ranked even higher if his value on the ground was taken into consideration. -
There was another report that Flores is the kind of person to walk past his players in the facility and not just not say hello to them but pretty much not even notice them as if they weren't even there.

There's a lot more we maybe don't know about i think. How do you bring in free agents to multi year contracts like Kyle Van Noy and Shaq Lawson and then kick them to the curb after just one season. One guy, okay I can maybe see that being a specific player issue. But two? That seems like a coach/organizational issue.

I kind of agree. At this point I feel sort of bad for Tua. I mean Tua in New England would be at least as good as Mac Jones I feel like. Apparently Flores biggest problem and why he was canned is that he didn't realize he is in the people business. He's a total jerk. And maybe more accurate just completely oblivious to personal relationships.

That Lambeau advantage has gotten the Packers to one super bowl over the last 11 seasons with the best QB in the game. They were just bounced last year in late January at Lambeau by a Florida team with a 43 year old QB who probably has decreased blood flow. I could go either way on the dome thing. I do think a dome can still be a heavy advantage for the Bills. Places like Minnesota and New Orleans get LOUD. And I see Bills Maria being no different. The weather advantage wouldn't be there but the noise advantage would go up.

The Bills are the best team in the NFL
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I started a very similar thread a couple days ago. The truth is by the metrics, this team really is the best in the NFL. And the fact that they are 0-5 in one score games just sort of helps to explain even further why they are the best team in the NFL. The bills literally go 2-3 in those games and I don’t think anyone at all is questioning if they are the best team. The fact that the bills went 0–5 in those ones score games has been the biggest anomaly of the season. But like I said in my thread, the theme of the season has been finishing. The bills couldn’t finish those five games. Now it is time to flip the script and show that those five games were an anomaly. Also, the bills are ranked number one in the league in total yardage differential. The bills hold the number one ranking in four out of the six top categories used to rank teams. And they are third and fifth in the other two. The metrics on this team are insane. -

Massholes talking football -
I believe phones and tablets just shatter at temps below 20°F when thrown up against hard walls. So that’ll be cool to see too.

It’s amazing that it feels like we played down to the weaker competition when the bills average margin of victory this season was what three touchdowns?

Shocking. But her could never beat the Bills and never had any resemblance of answer in slowing down Allen. I guess he had to GTFO.

Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?

Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it though? What is it supposed to mean anyway? I think at one point it was supposed to be a way to honor the best players in the game. That can often be subjective. But when you have outliers like Jackson making it this year over Burrow, Allen and Carr then it makes me think that must not be the meaning anymore. And yeah it probably lost it's meaning years ago. -
Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?

The number one thing they should do is open the voting AFTER the conclusion of the season. Why in the world do they have to rush the voting? Or at least wait till week 16 or 17 to start the voting and let it go till the Saturday morning of the wild card weekend. That is what 3 or 4 weeks of voting? -
Herbert is very deserving despite sitting out the playoffs. But Jackson being voted in over Burrow and Allen is criminal. Really not sure why the NFL has to rush the pro-bowl voting. It's always completed with like 3 or 4 games left in the season. Jackson was having a down year to begin with and it turned out he never even returned to play this season. I got to believe if the voting was done at the conclusion of the season that somehow, some way Jackson would not make the pro bowl. At least i hope so. As to the question, why care? I agree. But unfortunately these things do come up all the time in HOF discussions. And I'm fairly positive at least a handful of the folks who vote on the HOF would be dumb enough to let number of pro-bowl appearances sway them. With every passing year the pro-bowl becomes a bigger and bigger joke though so by the time Allen is up for the HOF it probably won't even be given a second thought. Of course Allen is on pace to be a first ballot HOFer anyway and will leave no doubt.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/index.htm#:~:text=Team Records%2C Leaders%2C and League Ranks Table , 6 7 more rows By the numbers the Bills haven't had a team this good in the NFL, well, ever. The only team that compares is the 1964 AFL champion team that played in a league of 8 teams. The 2021 Bills hold the following league wide rankings: #1 Scoring defense #1 Yardage defense #3 Scoring offense #5 Yardage offense #1 Scoring differential #1 Yardage differential That is four #1 rankings. No team in franchise history has held the #1 spot in more than two of the above categories with the exception of the 1964 AFL champion team. That team had a clean sweep of #1 in all six categories. They also set the franchise record for scoring differential and they only needed 16 games to set the record. But the theme of this season is finishing. The 2021 Bills either finished a team early or failed to finish a team all together. We know this team went 0-5 in one score games. We should be talking about another 3 loss Bills. 11-6 simply doesn't have any of the bravado of 14-3. Until the team learns how to finish there will be doubt regarding their greatness. So now it is time for these Bills to finish and leave no doubt as to where they rank in franchise history.
