Divisional round Saturday - 49ers at Packers on FOX

That’s a close one. Could see this turnover being overturned. Don’t really see two feet or a football move. -

I teased all four dogs. Felt pretty good about that bet but now I’m not sure. Hopefully this turnover turns things around for the 49ers. Just need them to basically not get blown out to cover the teaser. -
Are we/media setting ourselves up for a defensive battle?

There were also three defensive TD’s in that Rams/Chiefs game back in 2018. -
I see what you did there.

That was a Fresno State QB camp I believe. Carr was the Fresno State QB in that picture... he's a full 5 years older than Allen. Allen was a teen, Carr was probably at least 20.

Josh Allen announces arrival of second child

That's true. I do think Allen is at his best in the warm weather. So @ Miami is usually good for him. But Allen has also killed Miami in cold/bad weather in Buffalo. Man, throw out that wind storm game and Allen's 3 game numbers against New England are probably an all-time record against any opponent in 3 games. 12 TDs and 0 Turnovers? Heck, even with the wind storm game i think it is 13TD's and 0 Turnovers and a QB rating probably around 120. -

The sad thing is the Jets aren't even worthy. -
Allen literally put up the greatest six game stretch of rushing a QB had ever given the NFL by the end of his rookie year. Not Vick, not Newton, not Kaepernick, not Cunningham and not even Lamar Jackson up to that point. In terms of what Allen did with his legs in those six games (back to back to back 100 yard rushing games and then some) it was a massive surprise what Allen was able to do with his legs. And imagine, if he were a limited passer in some ways like Jackson, Allen's career rushing numbers would probably be very close to Jackson's.

Agree with this too. Would rather him be at or just below 500 yards or so in the regular season. But then put up over 200 yards on the ground every postseason in just 3-4 games. I'm all for Josh risking it in the postseason.

Absolutely. His agility for a man his size is off the charts. He’s just a natural runner. And a great example of that was Allen breaking that Patriots DB’s ankles. Breaking a DB’s ankles as a 6’5” 240lb QB should not be humanly possible. Sam Monson of PFF tweeted just this week something I was glad to see finally mentioned by someone in the media/analytics side of things. He basically said what everyone missed on Allen coming out of Woyming was just how great of an athlete he was. Yes, he has become a better passer but he’s seemingly become a better runner as well. No doubt Allen could have had a HOF career as a TE in the NFL had he not chosen to make over half a billion in career earnings as HOF QB instead.

THIS is the team we thought we had

You are right but honestly I wouldn’t be shocked to see them nearly duplicate this performance again. Josh Allen is this good. I mean I sort felt the way the offense played a few weeks ago at New England was a once in million type game with the first no punt game against a Belicheck defense. Then they did it again just a few weeks later. -
@PatsFanNH going for the opposing fan record of positive emoji's @Zerovoltz better take notice @Jimmy Spagnola well, third place will have to do

I can get on board with Fitz as QB2 next year. I think the whole Fitz QB curse has reversed itself with him breaking his hip and missing most the season this last year.
-
Nah. He just sits in the owners box now.

It was the Christmas presents Allen got them.

Singletary has been great. He's been doing a great job of getting everything he should get plus a little more out of every run. -

You're not wrong. There are a lot of great young QB's in the NFL. Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert etc. But nobody is better than Allen when all of them are playing to their full potential. And one of the knocks on Allen that we are seeing fade is the knock that he is too inconsistent compared to the other top QB's. Their eyelids were frozen shut so it's good you'll be able to tell them about the game. -
What's Your Nickname for this Game?

Somehow Allen only ran for like 3 yards in that windy game against the Ravens last year too. I think at some point this post season if the Bills play in four games he goes over 100 in one of them.
-
Josh Allen sets single postseason record for total rushing yards by a QB. Not single game but yards total in all four games. Not sure how many yards that is but figure maybe Kaepernick holds the current record?

Excellent write up Gunner. I agree very much with the safeties. It's outstanding how healthy both have been and how the entire culture seemed to change for the better with the addition of both Poyer and Hyde. They have been a tremendous duo since they have arrived in Buffalo all the way back in 2017?? Probably at least a top 5 safety duo every season. But I am definitely worried about both starting to get up their in age. On the bright side, perhaps we don't need to use draft capital at either safety position if McDermott can once again find undervalued free agents to fit in his system. I'm still not a full believer in Knox. I like him but don't love him. I wish we had a legitimate 6'6" guy at the position. But Knox has certainly had a career year and if he can follow 2021 up with another career year in 2022 then he would be knocking on the doorsteps of a top 5 TE in the league. For WR, I definitely agree. I don't see either of Sanders or Beasley coming back. Last draft I really wanted us to look at one of the young guys in the second round. Possibly a Rondale Moore or Elijah Moore. I think we target a speed guy in the 2nd round of the draft this year. Or maybe target a Hunter Renfrow type clone to replace Beasley. Renfrow is a UFA after next season too. He'll get a lot of attention and a pretty large contract I am guessing though. Likely from the Raiders.
