  1. What I would like to see? Bengals and 49ers. But I don't think that is going to happen so I put $120 on the Chiefs ML. Also teased another $28 on the Chiefs and Rams lines.
  2. @GunnerBill Do you have a take on Carson Strong yet? I've watched a couple of his games this year and I was very impressed with him. He reminds me of a non-mobile Josh Allen in the way he leads his team, competes till the very end and can make all the throws. But others have compared him to Drew Lock. I have a fondness for QB's that come from second tier schools as well and Nevada fits that bill.
  3. I'm interested to see which teams in this years draft will try to follow the Bills model and trade back for a 1st round pick in the 2023 draft and try to get their franchise QB in that draft. That said, I have no idea if the 2023 QB prospects are looking significantly better than this years. Drake London, listed at 6'5". Man would that be nice. But what's with only 7 TD's? Williams had more than double him.
  4. That's a hard no from me on trading for Saquan. He is a JAG at this point. Moss doesn't appear to be good enough so I think we should look into probably cutting Moss and signing or drafting another back. I don't think Moss has much trade value. But whoever we bring in needs to be super cheap.
  5. that would have been great for us if they started at the 15 or 10 instead of the 25. They would have likely been trying a Hail Mary at the 45 or 50 yard line instead of opting for a 63 yard Fg.
  6. That would probably be a good move for them. They have the ability to do it now due to having both the GM and Coach in place prior to the draft. Unlike the Bills when McDermott took over and Whaley was a GM in name only. If they do pass on a QB this draft I hope Schoen and Daboll follow the model that McDermott and the Bills provided in 2017 by trading back and getting an extra first round pick for the next draft.
  7. The timing is better for Daboll. They weren’t going to move off of Jones after his first or second season. And after his third night as well start fresh with a new coach and gm rather than run it back. I’m not 100% convinced Jones will be the QB in 2022. Sure they are saying he is for now but what else are they going to say. also, both coming from Buffalo is very similar to McDermott and Beane both coming form Carolina.
  8. i see it as a 2017 Bills situation. Daboll will draft his guy the following year if Jones doesn’t take a massive leap.
  9. Why not compare all 19 games to get a true sense of whether he regressed or not? It's not like they took a month off after the week 18 game. Why differentiate if we are looking at the big picture? And as other's have mentioned Allen also turned it on in the biggest games this year in the 2nd New England game and both playoff games.
  10. Really? What has been memorable about Burrow's two playoff performances so far? They've been pretty ho-hum haven't they? Particularly compared to Allen's historical performance. It's Allen and Mahomes by a large stretch at the top. Put them in any order you want. I'm bias so I'll take Allen. There's still a large gap between the top two and the next tier. Shockingly, as good as I think our offensive weapons around Allen are, between the Bills, Chiefs, Bengals and Chargers the Bills are probably solidly in fourth in terms of offensive skill players.
  11. Cool fact is that Allen played 19 games in 2020 and 19 games in 2021. This includes 3 playoff games in the 2020 season and 2 playoff games in 2021 season. The numbers are nearly identical. There was no drop off in performance over the course of the entire 19 games for each season. And as many have pointed out the weather was atrocious for many of the home games this year compared to 2020.
  12. To the bolded, the guy i worry about most is Diggs. He seemed so pissed at the lost last year at KC in the playoffs. What will his mind set be throughout next season? Everything seemed to go right this year. We proved we could beat them in KC early in the year only to screw up along the way and lose homefield advantage. Then we seemingly beat them again in the playoffs only to have victory snatched away in a 13 second collapse. Digg's production could also continue to decline as our offense evolves and Allen continues to spread the ball around. It may be to our benefit next season to try and get Diggs up there again in the league leaders of receptions and yards to keep him sharp and motivated. Maybe I am worrying about nothing but he's just the one player I would worry about.
  13. Since last year and the addition of the 7th wild card team I see it as nearly impossible for this team to not make the playoffs as long as Allen is under center for how ever many years that may be going forward. And unless the three teams in our division take massive steps the division should be ours nearly every year. It was nice to see that big bad New England is in fact a thing of the past. Their mid season winning streak against bad teams and their win against the Bills in a tornado were fools gold. But there was a sliver of doubt in I think most of our minds after we loss that MNF game.
  14. Agree. While it is certainly possible or even likely Allen may not be able to catch Brady or Mahomes in the career accolades department I have long felt now that it is only a matter of time before Allen puts up a single season for the ages that nobody will touch. Just look at this postseason he probably would have put up 16 TDs to 1 int over the 4 games had the Bills defense held for 13 seconds. I can definitely see Allen having a 6,000 yard 60 TD season type of season.
  15. that was 100% Dane Jackson’s fault though. He had his hand on the back of Hills’s jersey for like 2 full seconds. Just begging for a flag. I’ve liked Dane’s play this year but he has to be smarter than that. Especially on third down.
  16. if they return it to the 50 enough time runs off the clock that they only have time for one more play before kicking a field goal. So it basically comes down to can the defense stop them from picking up 10 to 13 yards to give them a shot at a very long field goal attempt. I’m not sure McDermott would’ve changed the defensive scheme in that situation. He probably would’ve rolled with the same defensive scheme that allowed Kelce to put them in field-goal range. Everyone is thinking they would return the squib and 3 to 5 seconds would roll off the clock. But I’m not sure they wouldn’t just fall on the ball or take a knee. In that case maybe just one second comes off the clock? But there’s a chance they end up with the ball inside the 25 yard line in that scenario.
  17. exactly right I’d rather get off the field on third down. Obviously whatever we did on that KC opening drive did not work.
  18. I agree but McDemott was probably banking on our defense not allowing a completion. Or at least not allowing two. But I’m not sure what he was thinking with those defensive formations. Maybe he will say there was miss communication there too.
  19. You missed my point Shaw. No need to discuss any further brother.
  20. That is a terrible analogy. The last kick off in a playoff game of that magnitude with 13 seconds left and we are literally changing from the norm of kicking out of the end zone to the irregular of squib kicking is not comparable in any way to the three things you mentioned that have a risk of happening on every offensive play of every game.
