  1. Gabe has been a consistent performer throughout his short two years. Bills screwed around with his playing time this season with the addition of Sanders which turned out to not really benefit the Bills IMO. Davis should absolutely make a big jump next season. I'd look for him to double his production next season. Somewhere around 70 receptions and 1000+ yards 10 TD's.
  2. For TE's he was 12th in receiving yards, 18th in receptions, 12th in YPC and tied for 1st in TD's. The TD's certainly put him over the top of average. But the other three metrics are very much in the range of average if we consider average to be 16th. I do agree it was a great year in the development of Knox. He took a huge jump. And if he takes a similar jump from year 3 to year 4 he'll be worth every penny on a new contract extension should he get one this off-season. I'm just uncertain he takes another huge jump.
  3. If I am Knox I absolutely take that. If i am the Bills i worry about the cap hit in the final two years of the deal if this last season ends up being Knox's best statistical season. 80 catches and 1000 yards is a BAD season for Kelce. It would be a career year by a country mile for Knox. Knox is going to need to go for around 100 and 1200 if he is to earn a 15+ million dollar deal i would think. I think people are letting the TD's cloud their judgment. I would have much prefeed a 80 catch 900 yard 4 TD season from Knox over his 50 600 yard 9 TD season. I'm not against a contract extension now. Just think it should be pretty favorable for the Bills side given Knox's lack of production in three years and his best statistic was TD's which isn't all that sustainable and often more a product of a good play call or scheme.
  4. So the Bills won’t back up the Brinks truck then? Bills can also always franchise tag him too as others have said. He’s had one average year. Yes he’s trending up but $10 million per year now seems a little premature. Let’s at least get a 80 catch 1,000 yard type of season.
  5. I'll gladly back up the Brinks truck if Knox has a legit break out year like 80 receptions 1000 yards and 9 TD's. But I'm not sure about paying him somewhere around 10 million per year now on an extension just based on a break out year of 50 receptions 600 yards and 9 TD's. I would lean towards letting him play on his current deal next season unless he ends up only costing like 6 million a year.
  6. I'm talking about the 13 seconds sequence. Hence the 'anyone' reference.
  7. The only one I can think of is the Bengals because of the cap space. But their division is a lot tougher than the Bills division and they don't have Josh Allen. With high expectations comes a lot of scrutiny should a team not meet them. So far McDermott has done very well. Let's hope his choke job was a once in a lifetime occurrence. They were a paper tiger defense for sure. They are good but not nearly as good as the stats indicated. Our entire division outside of the Jets were paper tigers on defense. Pats were what the number 2 or 3 defense in the league? But were no punted by the Bills not once but twice. The Dolphins even had an elite level defense during their winning streak which coincided with playing really bad offenses. The common denominator was largely playing the same bad QB's and bad offenses.
  8. They wanted to make sure all the DB's were at least 15 yards pack and not 12? Morons.
  9. Oh i see. I think the first two words threw me off. I don't disagree but it happens. Coaches running their course that is. Even Andy Reid ran out of time in Philadelphia and he had far more success than McDermott. I'm not going to lie. I have an incredibly sour taste in my mouth with how those 13 seconds were handled by McD as I think most fans would. He gets the benefit of the doubt but if it were happen to again? Two years in a row? Or if he gets bounced in the first game? It could happen. Not saying it would. Right or wrong I just see their being an opening for a justification at that point. Prior to this postseason their wasn't an ounce of justification. But through McDermott's own doing there is an once now should the team underperform or McDermott chokes again. I guess where I disagree with you is the idea that the special teams coach is gone and he was the reason why we lost. I certainly blame McDermott more than one special teams mishap.
  10. LOL. Oh, McD. The only way the players didn't execute correctly is if every single back 7 defender was lined up incorrectly. Sounds like a coaching problem.
  11. Would have been nice if coach knew this and put Milano (or anyone) on Kelce.
  12. I know that is not directed to me but I have no idea what the first question is asking. As for the second question. Of course McD should still be here but holy crap did he royally screw up the final 13 seconds. And that includes the the kick off IMO since he is the head coach. But even if we want to give him a pass for the kick off there is no defending the defensive formations of the final 13 seconds. That was a coaching choke job for the ages. McD gets a pass for taking this team to the playoffs in 4 out of the last 5 seasons after a 17 year playoff drought. I think McD is safe in terms of his near future but I wouldn't rule anything out should the Bills one and done in the playoffs next year or the unthinkable happens and he chokes two consecutive years.
  13. I disagree with the notion that the defense wasn't a paper tiger to a degree. They absolutely whooped every below average to terrible offense they faced this year and they faced an abnormally large amount of those bad offenses this year. But they did not perform well against any of the above average offenses that I recall. Titans, Colts, Bucs all put up a lot of yards and points and those were basically the only good offenses we faced. Could throw in the Chiefs but that was at a time when they were struggling. I also think it is telling that the Patriots also had this dominating defense most the year by the statistics but clearly they could not stop the Bills offense at all with the exception of 30+ mph winds. Another paper tiger defense inside our own division playing many of the same below average offenses. And even Miami went on there winning streak when their defense started dominating the bad offenses on their schedule. I'd say there were three paper tiger defenses in the division.
  14. It could still be Trubisky. I'm not certain he is going to get the opportunity he really wants in this QB market. He could decide that one more year in Buffalo in this system could be the best thing for him. I could see Trubisky to the Steelers making a lot of sense but if that doesn't happen then I'm not sure where he would end up.
  15. Bills fans are going to have sticker shock when they invade SoFi next season. Hopefully it doesn't prevent them from overtaking the stadium. Start saving up now. I checked tickets at the end of the season last year just before the Rams vs 49ers week 18 game and it looked like upper level tickets were going for $300+ a piece. That's typically lower level 50 yard line 25 rows up pricing at Highmark I believe.
  16. The anti- Nick Wright? I like it. Notice how the person who wrote this article mentions Mahomes 4 pro-bowl selections. And some people wonder why some of us get upset when stupid crap like Lamar Jackson getting voted to the pro-bowl over both Allen and Burrow ruffles our feathers. It's because there are dumb people in the media who take those awards seriously. You hear it all the time when talking heads bring up a players career achievements and if they are HOF worthy or not. Luckily, I do know for Allen at least, his HOF eligibility question won't hinge on whether he was a 5 time pro-bowler or 6 time. It will come down to is he a unanimous first time eligible selection or not?
  17. I see what you are saying in terms of Aaron Donald. But is there an Aaron Donald level prospect at LT that will be there at #25? I would think that level of LT prospect is going to go in the top 10 picks. And why would Dawkins transition to guard? There have been quite a few LT's that have not had to make mid career or even late career switches to the inside. Off the top of my head Trent Williams, Jason Peters, Tyron Smith. None of those guys made transitions to guards. And they have all played LT into their 30's and well beyond in Peters case. Yes, those guys are all - pros and future HOFers but i would think Dawkins could play LT for 3-4 more years. That only bring him up to 30 - 31.
  18. I was with you until you indicated the Bills need to draft a LT in round one. Dawkins might not be an all pro but he's certainly good enough to start. And Brown is young and probably gained more experience in year one than the Bills ever imagined he would. I don't see the need for OT in round one. Sure, if it's between OT or RB in round one give me the OT every time. But there are a lot of other positions where the Bills could stand to improve.
  19. I want Allen to win the MVP but the league MVP hasn't won the Super Bowl since 1999. Kurt Warner. That is insane. Before that it seemed like in the 80's and 90's the league MVP won the Super Bowl around a third of the the time.
  20. If we are trading for someone I actually like the idea of trading for Khalil Mack. He would be a lot cheaper than what the Bears had to give up to get him a few years ago. Two questions though. Does he fit our defense and can we afford the cap hit? Bears are not in win now mode so they might be open to the idea of getting an extra first rounder or a couple day two picks to build the team for the future.
  21. I do like the prediction of playing the Patriots early in the season. Week one or two. Seems like it’s been quite a few years since we’ve played them in the first three games of the year. Might have to go all the way back to 2015 When we played them in week two I think?
  22. I disagree with that thought though. Just go back and look at the history of the opening night games. Far more often than not the NFL is putting two very good teams on the scheduleI disagree with that thought though. Just go back and look at the history of the opening night games. Far more often than not the NFL is Is scheduling a good match up between two top teams. If they were concerned about saving a high ratings game for later they never would’ve scheduled the Cowboys against the Bucs last year. I think if it ends up being any team other than the bills, cowboys or 49ers we will know that Krienke insisted it not be a team that would take over the stadium.
  23. Sort of. but it would’ve been better if he signed a 10 year like Mahomes. Or at least an eight. I think six year deals will be common for the teams that are confident in their quarterbacks long-term abilities. Guys like Jackson and Mayfield if they get a new deal at all will probably be looking at four year deals. I would expect Justin Herbert to get a 6+ year deal when he resigns.
  24. I live a mile or so down the road from where both Carr's played high school football. Good for Derek. He's a stand up guy too. That said I am not 100% certain what happens with his future. If Indy is really looking for a new QB maybe Carr would be a good fit. Not sure they can financially make a trad and deal work though. Carr does seem like a McDaniels kind of QB I think.
  25. He's going to get the Dak and Cousins treatment for at least a year I think. I don't see an extension this off-season. If he has a year closer to his MVP performance again and more importantly can stay healthy I could see them giving him whatever he wants after next season. Otherwise they will probably franchise him. Yeah. I really wish we signed him to a 10 year deal. His second contract is going to be massive.
