then why not just pay Hill though. They are trying to go cheap at the position.

Name some good outside cornerbacks with sub 30 inch arms.

Should wingspan also be considered in this case? If McDuffie has a wider chest/shoulders it would increase his wingspan. -
Biggest Bills Bust Post 1980
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would say Williams because he was top 3 pick. Couldn't hack it at tackle. Figured he could have kicked inside to guard and at least had a career there but nope. And did he have an even shorter NFL career than Maybin? -
NFL schedule release: May 12th 8pm

Just schedule the Bills for an annual Thanksgiving road game every year. That would work for me. -
Gunner's 2022 Draft Quarterback Evaluations
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Carson Strong. Pleased to see you liked his tape more than you expected. It’s just a shame he is about as mobile as Drew Bledsoe. But he seems a gritty competitor to me that can make all the the throws. If he can prove that the jump balls he threw in college were more talent and then luck he might have a chance. -
I might be an outlier here...... Draft needs
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man, how are we even going to make the playoffs OP? I do agree with regards to the TE position. It’s not that I don’t like Knox, I just don’t LOVE Knox. Plus we have no depth behind Knox. Draft a day 2 TE to develop and hope he is eventually better than Knox or Knox continues to get better which might put Knox in the elite TE tier. It’s a win-win. -
I forgot we signed Crowder. Lol. I think we will be fine at receiver. And with needs at CB, o-line, upgrade at RB#2, TE#2, LB depth I’m changing my thinking to the Bills not going WR till day 3 at the earliest. Signing Diggs long term also gives us a more clear picture that near term we will still have an elite receiver for at least the next two seasons.

Packers Signing Sammy Watkins To 1 Year Deal
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
How long before he has a rib injury? -
Can I suggest a better tiebreaker OP? Assuming we don’t have multiple members that go six out of six the first tiebreaker could be the member who picks the most picks correctly consecutively starting with the first pick. Then default to the suit jacket color if we are still tied after the first tiebreaker.

Top 10 Herd Hierarchy following Free Agency
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cowherd has been very anti-Tua the last year and half or so. Cowherd has always been very pro Russell Wilson though. Haven't seen the clip but I would just guess that he has Bills #1 and Broncos #2. -
Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice. He's a true do it all type receiver. It's good that we know what our future is at receiver. I wouldn't have mind getting a draft hall similar to what the Chiefs got for Hill but at the same time it is great to keep a talent like Diggs. Even if he is only 75% the player he is currently 2-3 seasons from now he's still going to be a really good WR for us. And with any luck Davis, Knox or a future rookie will be our biggest threat by then anyway. -
Depends on the player. And perhaps the players age. Frank Gore tore his ACL TWICE in college. Then went on to finish 3rd all time on the career rushing yards list in the NFL. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and then had his best season ever the following year. Cooper Kupp tore his ACL and then went on to have one of the greatest seasons a receiver has ever had a few years later. Gore and Kupp were young when they tore their ACL's.
-
Can't argue much with that list. Davis will be key this year. Guy could legitimately become our number 1 this year if he puts it all together. His per snap numbers are probably already there. He just needs to keep doing it when he is on the field for 90% of the snaps now. If he does the Bills probably have a top 5 WR group which is probably around what we had in the 2020 season with Diggs and Beasley's career years.

Fair to wonder if he would have provided more than Moss these last two seasons and going forward. I'm not sure he was even eligible to play though these last two seasons?

2022 WR List…who do you like?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Magnum Force's topic in The Stadium Wall
Velus Jones 4.31 6’ 204 I know nothing about this guy but if those are his measurables and speed I think he is worth a flyer. Guy is built solidly and instantly one of the fastest players in the league. But can he play? -
What non-QB has the highest trade value in the NFL?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
TJ Watt. Some people don't realize, not only do you get the sacks, (22.5 tied league record last year in only 15 games played) but Watt also leads the league consistently in FF and PD's for his position as well. The price tag is high but you get a proven player with a proven bloodline. I also think TJ's game will stay at a high level compared to his brother JJ. TJ doesn't take the same beating his brother did. -
Actually we had EJ Manuel. Taylor arrived in Watkins second year. Not really the same though in the sense that Hill is at least a proving top 3 receiver talent over a sustained period. Watkins just ended up being a bust. I think his best statistical season ever was still with Tyord throwing him the ball?

Jarvis Landry wants $20 million a year
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would the chiefs do that? You would pay Hill $30M/year all day before ever paying Landry $20M/year.
