  1. Miami makes a lot of sense. Maybe the Bills shouldn't totally destroy Tua twice this season. Let him have an average game so Miami sticks with him. But I am not that concerned about Lamar either way.
  2. It's starting to get to the point where Herbert just isn't a runner at all. It's one of the baffling things about him. Maybe @Alphadawg7 is correct about him not wanting contact. He doesn't threaten first downs with his legs. Even Mahomes has used his legs for first downs a lot more than Herbert the last couple of seasons. Although thus far this year Mahomes has yet to do so.
  3. And we are only in week 2!
  4. It's a small sample size but so far threw two games: Mahomes: 4 yards rushing Herbert: 2 yards rushing Allen: 56 yards rushing (1 game) So far it looks like Mahomes and Herbert could have career low rushing totals. Going into the season we heard about the Bills wanting Allen to limit his running but we certainly didn't see that in the first game.
  5. Also the first INT that was called back i thought was a bad illegal contact penalty. Looked like the Chiefs receiver initiated contact while the DB was just running straight back in his own lane.
  6. Herbert lacks agility that the other two have. That's the only reason I can come up with as to why he seems to refuse or be unable to make plays with his legs. He also doesn't even scramble behind the line much either. Not a lot of "secondary reaction" plays. Not like Allen and Mahomes anyway. That said, in terms of just pure throwing ability, reading the defense and executing the play as designed Herbert is second to none in that regard.
  7. Every game counts. Chiefs and Chargers are not going to lose many games this year outside of the divisional matchups against each other. Bills and Josh do not have the luxury of not going all out every game in the regular season. This isn't the NFC.
  8. Bills are winless in the playoffs on the road under McDermitt. Bills need to do all they can to secure the number one seed. If that’s the goal it’s hard to save Josh for the playoffs. As good as McDermott is he’s had some defensive lapses on the road in the playoffs.
  9. Good to see at @Virgil’s Dad back posting and asking the questions we all want answers to.
  10. What happened to the Denver defense?
  11. I think it is too early to write off the Bengals. Yes, Burrow much like Russell Wilson is probably to blame for a good amount of the sacks he takes. However, that Bengals defense still played at a high level. They only actually gave up 16 points and that is with their QB giving the ball away FIVE times and being sacked seven times. Yes, the Steelers is O is not not above average and maybe not even average but still that's a pretty good performance given the bad situations they were routinely put in.
  12. good catch. Would be good to know what his snap count percentage was in the first 3.5 quarters
  13. IMO we need to wait and see if Moss has turned a corner or if his good preseason was fools gold. If he has another dud game they might go back to just two backs on game day. As long as Cook doesn’t fumble again.
  14. should have mentioned that. Lol all good
  15. I agree but with the caveat that with regards to Allen there really never has been a comp for him and that includes his first two years in the league. After his first and second seasons many mocked him as a running back playing QB. Thing is, that’s not even really a put down. For a dude with his size that has a cannon and a gunslinger mentality to be so good with his feet that other fan bases mocked him as a “running back” was always actually a compliment IMO. Even now Miami fans like to point to Tua having better passing numbers than Allen in each players first two seasons. But Tua’s passing numbers are only marginally better and when you throw in each players contributions on the ground Allen laps Tua. That said it will be interesting to see what Tua can do this year. He may put up very good numbers and prove he can be a franchise guy. I’m still worried about his ability to be available consistently though.
  16. Was interesting seeing Kumerow out there as often as he was. And not sure what their plan is for Shakir. Feel like he looked too good to keep off the field. But we are so loaded at the receiver position and still really do need Kumerow on special teams. I’m wondering if we move forward giving Crowder some vet rest weeks off and switching Crowder and Shakir on and off the inactive list.
  17. not surprised at all with Davis’ snap count. He will pretty much stay on the field all year even in the single wr sets. i was surprised he only got 5 targets though. But as is usual with him he made the most of those 5 targets catching 4 of them for a 22 yard average and a TD.
  18. He owns the single season passing yards record. Brees owns the single season total yards (passing plus rushing) record. Interesting enough, in the season Peyton set the single season passing yards record he ran for -31 yards for the season. Brees ran for 86.
  19. I like the Raiders to win the West this year.
  20. I forgot to add, Ken Dorsey one and done as Bills OC as he parlays a record setting year into a head coaching gig.
  21. Josh Allen will be the first quarter back in the 6,000 and 60 club. Going over 6,000 total yards and 60 total TD's in one season. The yardage mark is currently held by Drew Brees at 5,562 yards (5,476 passing 86 rushing). The TD mark held by Peyton Manning at 56 (55 pass 1 rush). Shakir will set the Bills rookie record for receiving yards and receiving TD's. (Watkins 982 yards and Lee Evans 9 TD's). Knox and Davis both go over 12 TD's on the season. Bills set an all time NFL scoring average mark breaking Denver's 37.9 ppg mark set in 2013
  22. My two brothers and I are going. We will be at the bills tailgate as well. Bought tickets early luckily. Good question. If the Bills win I'd definitely like to keep the party going. We are staying walking distance to from the stadium. Would like to know if there are any good bars nearby. I know they have the Casino.
  23. Governor's office is asking everyone to conserve as much power as possible in California to prevent power shut offs. Particular between the hours of 3pm and 9pm. Might be frowned upon to blast A/C in a building that essentially has all it's doors and windows open. The players will be fine. And probably shouldn't be too uncomfortable in the stands. But the tailgates could be a little miserable. Hopefully there is some shade. Or bring a big McDermott hat.
