  1. Josh Allen Poyer Milano Edmunds Bass
  2. Eventually he did have pressure and we don't know if the guy was open initially when there was no pressure. But i 100% agree that Lamar is not a rhythm passer. Allen can both be a rhythm passer and play off script like Lamar. Allen can literally do everything that has been shown to be possible for an NFL QB. The only one in the league with that skill set.
  3. Lamar is certainly not a rhythm passer like Allen is. That is a flaw in his game. He gets a lot of easy completions because he extends plays and puts a lot of pressure on defenses with his legs so receivers are running wide open. Makes for some easy throws.
  4. Are you talking about the Poyer pick? I mean the pass was on mark just late and Poyer made a great play.. And remember Lamar was backing up like 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage by that point due to the pressure. It's not like he was just sitting back there scanning the field. Not sure if you are being sarcastic though since Allen did in fact miss a wide open receiver just last week on 4th down with no pressure. And another the week before to Kumerow.
  5. He definitely looked emotional too.
  6. He tells Dorsey when to hand it off to Moss.
  7. Even more the reason to donate!
  8. Just don't be season ending. Don't care at this point if he misses six games. Just want him back at some point.
  9. Can we do $21? That would be epic if we all started Venmoing him.
  10. Yep. When is the last time one of our receivers took a short pass 60 yards to the house? I can't really think of any since Allen arrived in 2018. We need a guy like that.
  11. Please win our first one score game since 2020!
  12. Agree. I'd like to Lawrence enter the conversation with a strong showing and W over the Eagles today.
  13. It feels like one of those threads that comes back to bite us in the ass. Like the guy last week who started the thread calling out Dolphins fans before last weeks game. Can't we wait till after the game?
  14. It was my opinion that last years team may have been the best team in franchise history (not going back to the AFL days). Based on watching them play, the dominant victories, the point differential, the league rankings on both sides of the ball. They really should have been in the Super Bowl and that alone would have them in that conversation with the 90's teams. And note, I'm not talking dynasty here, but singular season. The 2021 Bills singular season vs. any of singular 4 seasons of the 90's dynasty team. That said, I don't see why the 90's teams have to die out from our memory.
  15. you think Smith is done? This is more than likely just step one.
  16. I'm definitely not going to hold the 2018 playoff game against him his rookie year. That was a just happy to be here type of game. And really, that game matched is level of play in 2018 which was below average. It's the others that are concerning because by 2019 Lamar had become an elite player in the regular season. He definitely has to have a signature game in the postseason I just think the sample size is simply too small right now to think Lamar can't string together a couple of good postseason games and find himself in the super bowl.
  17. I lean towards this as well. Well that is interesting. And a good find. Definitely a problem if it is a trend. But I don't recall Devin having issues in pass-pro in the past.
  18. Your argument is one that Jets, Dolphins and Patriots fans keep touting regarding Allen. That Allen is going to Cam Newton himself out of the league in short time. Cam Newton was basically done as a QB at the age of 30, his final season in Carolina. Still, say you are correct regarding Jackson. Which is certainly a possibility. If he can play at a high level up to the age of 30 that means he has 4 more great seasons left. Why not sign him to a 5 or 6 year extension in that scenario? You're never going to time the end of a QB's salary just right. I'm sure Allen and Mahomes will have a final couple of seasons when their production does not stack up to their salary. Just like Big Ben in his final two years. Or Peyton or Farve in their final seasons.
  19. I don't think that book is finished. He hasn't been great in the postseason that is for sure. He still basically beat the Titans on the road on one play with his legs. The following week he only lead the offense to 3 points in the loss to the Bills but let's not forget Allen lead the Bills offense to 10 points in that game as well.
  20. I rather they got the #1 seed last year by winning all the games they did in the fashion they did plus pulling out two or three of the one score games that they lost. Where are you seeing that forecast? I'm seeing 12mph winds which is nothing.
  21. Yes there is 5 times the risk outside the pocket in that scenario. But how much less risk are they taking inside the pocket is my other point? Do the two cancel each other out? Hits inside the pocket are when QB's are at their most vulnerable. Standing tall and fully extended throwing motions. Sitting ducks. The question is do the two cancel each other out? Or is the difference so negligible that it's a moot point of discussion.
  22. The getting hurt thing is way overblown IMO. QB's will always get hurt. Whether they are in the pocket or not. For all the running they do, both Jackson and Allen have stayed pretty healthy. And for both, some of the worst hits that caused them to miss significant time came from in the pocket. Allen's rookie year elbow injury and Jackson's concussion against the Bills that forced him to miss the 4th quarter of the playoff game. Look at Mac Jones and Tua getting hurt in the pocket. Burrow being destroyed on a weekly basis in the pocket. Herbert getting blown up in the pocket. Dak breaking his hand inside the pocket. To varying degrees these QB's can move with their legs. But they tend to prefer not to. And possibly to a detriment to their own health. You could argue that Jackson and Allen and Mahomes avoid a lot of devastating hits because they move a lot more behind the line of scrimmage while avoiding big hits and blind side hits. There is added risk when they take off and run for a first down but that risk is off set by the big hits they tend to not take in the pocket.
  23. Even if Lamar breaks down by the age of 30, he could easily have 3 league MVP's and super bowl or two under his belt. He's only 25 currently. He has 4 more full seasons to play under the age of 30. I have my doubts as well about Lamar aging into the position. But there has never been a talent quite like him so can't really make assumptions.
  24. Being two seasons removed from that and not having won a one score game since then does not make any of us feel any better. I think the sentiment last year was that we just had terrible luck in one score games and that it was total anomaly. That was certainly my belief. However, it certainly does not help that the Bills are now 0-1 this year. I expect a close game tomorrow so hopefully the Bills will be 1-1 if we are not able to convincingly beat the Ravens. I just hope that if or when we fall too 0-2 in those situations that it doesn't start to screw with the heads of the players and coaches.
