  1. Probably not but worst case scenario he would be at the one or even half yard line. Maybe gives them much better odds on 4th and goal to punch it in on the ground from there. Or a hard play action up the middle boot leg.
  2. No way. I watched some Steelers games because I've had them in a couple teasers that have blown up in my face and Mitch has been absolutely dreadful. The guy is playing with no passion and heart which made losing the teasers all that much worse. I think the rookie catching lighting in a bottle is the their only chance. Mitch won't do anything positive and will still turn the ball over a couple times against this defense.
  3. I think college Qb rushing stats include sacks which is why the averages or so low. Just look at Josh Allen's YPC in college. Career 3.2 ypc and only 2.2 ypc his final season at Wyoming. For Josh Allen? Yeah, I don't think so.
  4. There is a lot of leg stutter but I went back and looked and I don't believe he gets tripped up on a lineman.
  5. Everyone has been focused on the fourth and goal play. After watching some highlights of the goal line stand I kept going back to the 3rd and goal play. In a got to have it moment it is just an absolutely terrible run. What happens here? Does he get tripped up over his own feet? Or is he making a business decision. I know Lamar isn't 6'5" 240 but that's 6'0" 200lb Damar Hamlin that is in his way. Why doesn't Lamar try to power his way through? Worst case scenario he would probably get inside the one yard line or down to the half yard line. Also, watching some of Jalen Hurts runs, he's a guy that like Allen would try to bully his way into the end zone in a got to have it situation. Hurts is listed an inch shorter than Lamar and is therefore a little thicker but not much. And supposedly Lamar put on about 20 pounds of muscle this off-season. Just found this play fascinating. I can't tell if he gets tripped up over his own feet after trying to do a little shake or if he goes down intentionally on his own not just well short of the end zone but well short of the defender. Either way, ditch the shimmy and shake and just bull your way in there. You can go to the 9:50 mark of the video to see the 3rd down play. https://youtu.be/a_xvUuFHotQ?t=589
  6. This play right here was the play of the season so far from Allen. Just unbelievable.
  7. At least two of his INT's are off of tipped balls. So I think those would be counted as balls where he was not the primary defender. Even on the end zone INT last week I'm not sure if he would be considered the primary defender on that play either. That is my guess as to how it works. Of course a safety is often not the primary defender too.
  8. Seahawks are a bit of a mixed bag. Is the real Seahawks offense the one from the first two weeks or the last two weeks? Or somewhere in between? They went six quarters without any offensive points between games 1 and 2. In games 3 and 4 they put up nearly a 1,000 yards of offense and scored points on drives 60+ yards in length 10 times. In games 1 and 2 they put up less than half those yards and had only two drives total over 60 yards in length. I'd probably have to say my biggest surprise is the Lions offense. They have been moving the ball and scoring points in every single game. They've been good and consistent.
  9. Raiders to me are much better than the Broncos. I think they have a shot of going 5-2 over their next seven games to get back above .500 They've been in all of their first four games. They were blowing the Cardinals out and then driving in overtime for the win before the Renfrow fumble. Chiefs are one play away from having loss to the Chargers and looking up at them in the division. But the Chargers injuries at key positions are now mounting. Tua had a great quarter. He's looked exactly like 2021 Tua in the other 13 quarters of football. They've been a mixed bag through four games. Two below average offensive outputs and two complete dismantling's of a defense. Very much like our own offense I suppose minus the adverse weather conditions and injuries.
  10. #1 is true #2 is only true of the offense, the defense has been consistently great The offense has had trouble putting up points in the last two games in tough road environments. But I think they will regain a lot of their form finally coming back home for only their second home game of the season. Also, despite the offensive struggles in the last two road games they put up 500 yards of offense in a loss and scored two TD's and two FG's on their final 5 possessions against the Ravens.
  11. Watt is such a beast. He went off in the Bengals game. His INT was insane. And he has made picks like that a few times in his career. Steelers probably would have beaten the Browns with Watt and certainly the Jets. So glad to have Lawson and Phillips back!
  12. That one flew over your head Mr. WEO.
  13. That’s a pretty horrendous schedule CBS has for week five.
  14. But I thought the genius head coach said it was only a concussion?
  15. I don't know if they will be an all time great defense. If they are at that level then there is literally no reason why this team shouldn't obliterate their own franchise record for point differential that they set last season. Rarely do you ever get an elite offense to go along with an all time great defense. I will say, the linebacker play with this current group that we have had for several years now has never been better. Milano is playing at an all-pro level and Edmunds is playing well. The pass rush is getting there mostly with just a four man rush and the young corners are holding up well.
  16. They also gave it to a player on a number one seed. 90% of the time that is who wins the MVP. It's probably 60% team record and 40% stats.
  17. I thought todays game for Allen was better than last weeks. And the QBR stat confirms that. More often than not QBR matches what my eyes see versus the old standard passer rating.
  18. That was a near impossible play for one player to make. He didn't have a Milano type game but he was solid enough.
  19. You just can't discount his easy completions though. They are easy because defenses have to account for him running and he is extending plays. All of that makes Lamar a great football player. But he's not at the Mahomes and Allen level because those two players can do a lot of what Mahomes does while also being capable of running a rhythm passing game.
  20. I think you took that to mean something negative?
  21. And to think as great as he has been we easily could be 4-0 if he makes one of the easier INT's for a pick six he will ever see.
  22. Only other thing is it looked to me like Allen sold that call deliberately putting his head back like the hit jarred his head back. Allen has been very good his entire career drawing roughing calls intentionally or otherwise.
  23. They are playing at an extremely high level. They have given up 21 and 20 points in consecutive weeks and those totals include turnovers by the offense that set up the other team inside the 10 yard line for easy scores.
  24. I think he will be default now.
