Andre Smith traded to Bills for conditional 7th
The BLUES Brothers replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/report-panthers-release-lb-andre-smith It said he was projected to make the Panthers 53 man roster earlier this month but others stepped it up. Buffalo's Special Teams could be something Special... -
RB's Wade & Moss are "tight"
The BLUES Brothers replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
UK is an awesome place - need to get back there again! Wade definitely made the most of his opportunities last year, if he can chip block (or catch) on passing plays - even better chance of making the roster. Not to get off subject - were you a Bills fan before Wade? - Where do you watch the games and are there other Bills fans around you? -
Thank you for the reply and astute observations. Glad you are optimistic and interesting how you could see a great way to get him in a rhythm to be even better. I am not blowing smoke - I respect your opinion and wanted to see your take - sorry I have been offline all day - TGIF to one and all and Go Bills!

I am pretty sure Gilmore was the one who looked so unhappy when he was drafted - i will never know what is going through their head - but when your new fans are watching you on TV - C'Mon man - show a little emotion! You are right though that he was solid here, didn't like him going to the Dark Side... Quick question on your earlier comment about not liking the Josh Allen selection. I was not happy with the pick but have come around a lot. You have a much stronger opinion of skill set evaluation - so curious of your opinion of him now? Not trying to set you up sir - hoping like me that now you like the pick better in retrospect?

There was a Buffalo Bills TV special on in Rochester last night and they mentioned we never had a TE make the Pro Bowl - I thought over the years one would have made it (names come back like Reuben Gant, Jay Riemersma, Pete Metzelaars,...) but they say this year Knox could be the first one to make it. Love it!

Darryl Johnson potential...what do we think?
The BLUES Brothers replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When NFL guru Greg Cosell was making rounds of NFL camps - he raved about the size and the effort shown by Johnson at St. John Fisher. Hoping he continues to turn heads - especially the other teams quarterbacks. -
Historically Famous Nick Names for Bills Squads .
The BLUES Brothers replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a poster back in the day of Kelly and teammates with the title "Kelly's Heroes" referencing the classic movie ( with Clint Eastwood, Sutherland Rickle, etc). Maybe "Allen's Army" can work? It is cool that the fans have a nickname -not all teams have their own nickname and "Bill's Mafia" is called out by broadcasters across the USA. -
Random Place to Spot a Bills Logo
The BLUES Brothers replied to BfloBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in Rochester, NY but was running a job down in Winter Park, FL and was looking to hire a mason for the job and made calls to a half dozen contractors. Up pulls a pick up truck with a Bills logo as the front license plate - what an awesome surprise! He had moved there from WNY. Fast forward - of course - I hired him for the job! -
Harrison Phillips recovery update

Horrible Harry was one of those guys l really wanted the Bills to draft and was happy when we got him in the 3rd round. -
The night of the Josh Allen NFL draft - my wife and I were on vacation in Charleston, S.C. We went to dinner at a place that had a large TV that they changed to the NFL draft for us...ummm - l mean for me lol. Honestly l was not happy because l read all the negatives about Allen and was concerned he could be as good as he has been. The trading up to get Edmunds made me feel better. As a fan - because l am happier when we are winning - any Bills player is an extension of my personality maybe Allen a little more because he is a likable guy and hard worker. Ironically, his last name is my first name so hearing my buddies yell "Alright Allen!" sounds a lot better to me than "Awe #&#^% Allen!" lol

So haw far did Josh heave the ball?
The BLUES Brothers replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Local news interviewed the season ticket holder from Rochester who caught the ball, said he was tracking it from the throw and it came right to him, hit him right on the numbers and fans went crazy! -

Does anyone call in to Schopp & Bulldog anymore?
The BLUES Brothers replied to notwoz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyday I'd listen to Shopp and Bulldog to hear Bills talk and because L had five fantasy football teams but now with Radio.com - I'll instead listen to earlier WGR segments or a podcast. It's easy to call John Murphy a homer, since he is paid by the Pegulas, but he knows his team's stats from being the play by play guy - so why fault that knowledge? If you listen long enough - - you'll pick up that unlike Shopp where it's a job - with Murph - he is a Bills fan first. i remember when we traded Sammy Watkins (on air) Murphy was as shocked as the listeners and questioned management instead of saying it was a good move - It's also cool that he acknowledges the fans on the way into the booth on Sundays -seems like a good guy and has good guests, for the most part. Personally i prefer hearing SAL! Cappacio ....SAL! Cappachio ...;-) -
May have been referring to the Dolphins management staff - sure seems that way.

Wife and I are getting ready for a 2 hour drive from Rochester (listening to PreGame on Radio) to Cuba NY area, to go to my son's girlfriend's family for the first time - They are great people and also Bills Fans so we will all watch the game together. Our first time visiting them - l get antsy during the game so pray l don't scream too loud - lol. They are cooking a Tailgate Theme so hope they understand and scream with me... Go Bills! -
Eddie Money passes at 70
The BLUES Brothers replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I won a contest and was able to help annonce him (John Waite and Lou Gramm ) at CMAC concert in '15 - he (and all) were nice guys -Eddie signed a shirt for my wife and we became even bigger fans. So when he put on a musical story of his life (with all his hits). in '18 called Two Tickets to Paradise - we went and saw it. One thing it talked about was when he almost died from partying too much (hospitalized for a while) and that was when he became sober - no drinking or drugs. Did it for his family and his health. RIP Eddie Mahoney Money - Heaven will have a little more Music this week... -

One of or both of Sweeney and Knox...
The BLUES Brothers replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your user name and this post made me chuckle. There is no question a 7th rounder has a lot to prove but draft pundits spoke highly of Sweeny's hands/catching ability and sounds like veteran TE Lee Smith has taken Sweeny under his wing,. Did you see Sweeny's over the shoulder catch Friday night?
