I'm curious how Chubb lands all his body weight on Wilson two drives in a row and nothings called. Including on that fumble one.

How does Josh work on his nerves...?
RichVP replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know if this is a nerves thing. To me the Bills in the post season and in the regular season played completely differently. During the regular season they were very active, loose, and just overall not scared of anything but stayed short of self harm. During the post season it seemed like the whole team from coaches to players were very tight. They seemed scared of making that major mistake so much that the play calls were conservative and the players reflected that with what looked to be very tentative and conservative play. It just wasn't the same team that ended the season with the #2 seed. I think that will change next year with having this experience. -
FGs versus TDs against the Chiefs
RichVP replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I feel we should have run it twice from the 4 at the end of the half and ran it on the 2 point. The mugging on the receivers allowed the blitz to get there consistently. The only way to get them to stop blitzing is getting some chunk plays in the run. -

I thought today was the day to do the same run heavy power look we did early in the year, granted it was only for one or two games. Moss out or not. It seemed like we let the Chiefs dictate the play too much. -
It looked like Poyer knocked White out of the play. We keep seeing players try to get a good hit and end up hitting their teammate with friendly fire. That time it didn't get anyone injured but the friendly fire cost us the game. If white was unobstructed he had a much better chance of breaking that up.

Great Win today, we beat the Rams and the Refs.
RichVP replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. Even when it came to the throw away turned into a sack. It was obvious his knee was down but by their standards, it was not obvious from that angle the ball was still in his hands. I think both the Diggs touchdown, and the Allen Sack were the right calls but this was clearly simultaneous catch which is supposed to go to the offensive player. It may not have been clear who had control to say Kroft caught it but it was a clear simultaneous catch. -

The call was horrible. The fact it was upheld was horrible. I believe it comes from the inconsistency of the replay standard of evidence. It was generally accepted that most of these close calls you err on the side of a score or turnover because it gives you an automatic chance to review and give the correct call. Then the standard for "clear and obvious" has shifted over the years and egregiously so this year so far. They've conditioned the refs to go with the call that gives a replay so you could get it right, then took away the ability to get it right with a centralized booth review from NY with an extreme standard for evidence. -
Brian Daboll cost us the division title
RichVP replied to Tesla03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the loss to the pats was in all 3 phases of the game. Not just on offense. If our rushing defense held, or some of the short passing game was prevented, or we didn't have so may long fields and given the Pat's* so many short ones, we would have won that game. I also think that if the Bills have won the game things would have happened differently today. The Pat's* may have had more incentive with the Division and the Bye week in play still and may have had more focus after a loss to the Bills. Conversely the Bill's playing today with the division title on the line may have had serious injuries to various starters. It's a whole what if game that seems silly. I'm happy where the Bill's are, in the play offs, about to play the Texans next week, which is probably their best match up. I'm also happy with the Pat's* losing and missing out on a Bye week as they need that for any hope of getting healthy and making a run for another super bowl. I'll enjoy that instead of what if's and blame game for a Bill's team that outside of western New York was seen as an after thought this year. -

I count 5 Redskins games, but interesting that this game was the highest rated. -
[Incomplete Title] The Bills can win the Super Bowl if.....
RichVP replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like that this was just another click bait title that users are giving their own answer for. I feel I'm getting more out of it. -
Growing up I watched a few games but never followed a team. Liked the 49ers and Bucs but mainly because I liked the color red and I was a kid. After 9th grade or so I never watched or followed football until I started college at RIT. I was placed into a room with two hard core Bills fans. I watched a game with them. I remember Losman connecting with Evans blowing the top off a defense a few times in the game and the Bills won after they were not winning recently that season. I think it was the 2007 season. After that my roommates forced me to watch every game with them in hopes they'd keep winning. Since then I have been a Bills fan. Because I was forced to be. -Rich

I guess the name Ice bowl isn't enough substance to reference the packers... I started posting, rarely, after Ice joined and never needed context to know they were a packers fan. The name gave it away though I've always enjoyed the topics that are started.

He seemed out of sync until the last couple drives. He started connecting with Benjamin on longer throws that unfortunately were called back. Leading to punts anyway. The pre snap penalties needed to end weeks ago. I'm more concerned with how they are still happening than a Josh Allen cover up.

To me, if we get a second and third, we should jump at it. Even if we send a 6th or 7th round pick with shady. With the lawsuit and possible other drama and accusations off the field there is no telling if or when that becomes substantial enough to warrant a suspension let alone hurting his image and play while dealing with it. And if he never regains his form from last year he'll never command this price tag again (He doesn't now unless a team is desperate).
