Bourbon is a wonderful drink, and don't feel bad for dropping in water or ice cubes. The flavor profile will change in a good way. If you can get a hold of High West Campfire Bourbon, it's a solid bottle for the price point, even if it's a blend. But if you want to go even further south, new Tequila and Mezcal distillers are coming on the market all the time. Mi Campo and Cazadore are now solid, middle shelf stuff. Cosamigos should also find its way into your liquor cabinet.

I've got a generous pour of Larceny Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey... ...but I deeply regret finishing my bottle of Loch Lomond 18.
