What I think is that, as a team, you absolutely, positively MUST have the attitude that you're going to develop a rookie QB, not just throw him in the deep end and see if he can swim. Whether it turns out that you successfully "develop" a rookie or not will just come down the pike when it does, whether that's immediately or in the future. But think about it like this: we've never seen McBeane develop a QB because (if we draft a rookie), this will be their first! So I will give them the benefit of the doubt, because they have gone against the grain so many times already and proven people wrong (including me) who thought their moves were questionable at best. But I understand your concerns, given our general history as a franchise. I am also a Rosen fan, btw. I concur with your assessment. And in terms of the QB least needing "development", well, whatever others may criticize him for, Rosen is certainly the most "Pro-Ready" QB in the draft. My concern now is, with Incognito retiring, what is our OL going to look like? A crap OL is the surest recipe for a rookie QB to not succeed, or for that matter, any QB at all.

I agree about the voice. And he doesn't seem to be SMARMY enough, COCKSURE enough. Two oldschool adjectives which I think describe Harrison Ford-Solo perfectly. But, like I said before, the dude is a good actor, so we'll see. And it's only just a two minute trailer. It just kinda looks to me like the movie will be pretty good and entertaining, but his performance will kind of take the wind out of the sails, so to speak. I hope I'm wrong!

Global warming err Climate change HOAX
{::'KayCeeS::} replied to Very wide right's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There is no proof of Climate Change. It's politics, not science. But that's not even the worst of it. What saddens me is that all that money should go towards real, proven environmental issues, of which they are so many that I could not describe them if I just kept typing ad infinitum. That's the irony, and it breaks my mother f'ing heart. -
Would you care to explain? Just curious. It's a very specific thesis.

To the OP: Thank you for such a substantive post. I would agree that the biggest problem with our government is representation. The more local the representation, the more responsive the governance. Doesn't matter what flag is flown (party wise). Your proposal is something to begin a serious dialogue about. But, unfortunately, the masses of this country are too buy cheering for their "teams" (parties). This is by design, of course. Otherwise we would have a parlimentarian system like every European country. Was it Napoleon who said "Divide and Conquer"? It's very simple when you think about it. How do you control (in the US) hundreds of millions of people? Set them against themselves. Like College Football Rivals. We'll be to busy cheering/fighting amongst ourselves to notice.... especially in the current clickbait age.

I'm {::KayCeeS::}, and I'm a QB Draft Junkie. ::i said it::i'm not ashamed:: There's things I cannot control, I know that. Like who we draft. <<cringe>>

A much better trailer, imo. Although I'm still not sold on Alden Ehrenreich as Han. Don't get me wrong, the guy is an excellent actor, in Stoker or Hail Caesar! I was a fan.... but... That being said, the movie is premiering at Cannes (which is a good sign) and Ron Howard is no shlub. I just hope they OD "OG Star Wars", and that's what this trailer looks like so... cautiously optimistic....

Jordan Palmer on Josh Allen
{::'KayCeeS::} replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a solid argument. I do understand his line breaking down and what he did with that, I saw that on the film. I have not watched the Senior Bowl film, but I will now that you've piqued my curiosity. And I like the kid, he seems like he's got a head on his shoulders, that he's committed, etc. I'm rooting for him, and I hope you're right. As to UCLA: they also had literally one of the worst defenses in the country. So there's that, but that's another argument. -
I agree. Maybe we don't live in an infinite multiverse! /fallacies

Jordan Palmer on Josh Allen
{::'KayCeeS::} replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching the tape on Allen, I think he's got the strongest arm I've ever seen. It's like someone shot a football out of a cannon. It's kind of unbelievable unless you watch it yourself. So I get the hype. But EVERYTHING about this guy is basically going to depend on the intangibles, i.e., evaluating him as a student of the game, as a teammate, as a committed human being. Does a team think he has the IT factor that can turn his roughness into a diamond? Is he the exception that disproves the rule? It's possible. I don't know. He seems like a decent fellow from his interviews. But I wouldn't draft him in the top 10. I wouldn't draft him over Rosen, or Mayfield, or Darnold. I might not even draft him in the first round. But DAMN, that arm! WOW! -
Since when do the Gestapotriots let out any info that isn't Dis? Move along, people, lest you get gunned down by the "Brady Bill".

Incognito fires his agents using Twitter
{::'KayCeeS::} replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like how he exclamation pointed the "You are Fired!", and then went on to say he wishes them the best, thank you for your guidance blah blah blah. I guess that's how you do it nowadays -
Ok, think of it like this: every absolute infinitesimal shred of a possible moment in time births another universe. So infinite universes, some more similar then others, some following our "present" (as in now 2018), some not, some doing everything in between or that is even remotely fathomable by any intelligent, sentient, or alive being in the multiverse here described (that includes stars, quasars, aliens, or whatever the possible frack, 99.9% of which we will never even come close to understanding/reckoning with). If one is so inclined, one might also find something called "God" in this infinity. So the "Mandela effect"? Sure, imho. In an infinite multiverse, it would be a patent Delusion to Not think that some of the universes would not overlap, that people wouldn't experience similar memories, or memories of themselves in other universes, or any other kind of metaphysical phenomenon.

golf fans -- is Tiger Woods done?
{::'KayCeeS::} replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That 6 under score is not going to stand up. It will come back slightly. Enough for Tiger to make a move friday or saturday. *crosses fingers* -
I think that's a well articulated analysis full of very interesting info. But that's the point of analytics, imo: to be very interesting....data. But data don't win games. So embrace it fully with a grain of salt, I say. Because there's something there, for sure. It would be stupid to ignore it. But I wouldn't want us not to take the QB we want because of analytics.

other than being "too" happy, I don't see much to criticize here. -

He's not done. He's a true Gladiator. You can f them up for what seems to be a long time, but you can't put them down unless you actually put them down. He will win another major. And all the haters will STFU. -
