  1. I dunno about that - the culture and psychological buildup that McBeane has been engaging in over the course of three years is almost solely to ensure stuff like this can't happen. They will never get too high or too low.
  2. I could, but since you cited it knowingly I figured you could at least make the job a lot easier by providing the group that did the study or something
  3. Is "amount of rest and subsequent playoff performance" something that has been looked into, and if so, do you know where? I'm interested in reading it
  4. 6:52, the SD QB just made a patented Allen hero ball interception play. Eludes defenders, escapes the sack, across the body throw from the right sideline to the defense. Imagine this board if Allen did that in a super bowl!
  5. I think THIS YEAR's Bills team against THIS YEAR's those teams go 10-6 or 11-5. Not worried at all, and we're going to be a better team next year.
  6. Eh. Give the Chiefs an easy go in wild card weekend so they're ready to smoke the Pats
  7. Well, they did play McCown (I think - some bad player not named Darnold, anyway) that week, and Darnold has been decent in most games this year accounting for mono and BB.
  8. Gilmore's number of flags by year: 2012: 13 2013: 6 2014: 8 2015: 6 2016: 9 2017: 7 2018: 10 2019: 6 so far What are you talkin bout boy
  9. If I was Houston I'd want to play starters. I'd believe in myself to get to the AFCCG, and then KC coming out of the other playoff tree is definitely a possibility - and week 17 decides whether that game is in Houston or KC.
  10. His best asset is that he's blazing fast as a LB. He and Edmunds are a huge part of why pass defense is our strength - they can cover most guys.
  11. Eh I loved Woods. Dude played every snap like his last, was solid at catching, and brilliant in run blocking. Also Jalen Ramsey is one of the biggest losers the NFL has to offer.
  12. Swap Jackson for Watson. There are days that I'd prefer Watson to Mahomes. Watson is already a seasoned vet as far as reading defenses and dictating offenses goes, where I feel that to a higher degree, Mahomes is helped out by scheming (and obviously Lamar is to a huge extent as well). I certainly think Lamar and Patrick can and will become great at this, but Watson already plays the game mentally like Rodgers and Brady. Brett Kollmann, the youtube football guy, has watched every snap of Watson vs NE and says that he's the only young QB Belichick refuses to cover-0 blitz against, because he knows Watson will read it and torch it.
  13. Baltimore. Unless the 6 seed beats KC. Then Buffalo would play New England.
  14. This was me. I hated the pick more than any single other thing the Bills had done in my fanhood. I look back and am embarrassed to have pretended I know anything about football
  15. Allen gets every missed throw microanalyzed like no QB I've ever seen in my life, and it's because of his draft profile, and the fact that people had stronger negative opinions of him before ever seeing an NFL snap than any Bills draft pick I've ever seen. While he's obviously still growing, every time I turn on another game and watch other good QBs, I laugh, and say to myself at least 10 times a game that if our QB had made that throw, there'd be 15 total pages on it between all of the threads. QBs miss throws, especially against NE, BAL, and PIT. and against those 3 defenses, he got better each week. he went from being horrendous 10-19 yards down the field to a top 5 QB in that range in one offseason. He's played in fewer than 30 games. We're in a good spot.
  16. When people talk about the first Knox deep ball he missed on the first drive as a throw a franchise QB makes... He attempted 3 other deep balls and hit 2 of them. No, Franchise QBs don't go 4/4 on deep balls on the snap of their fingers in any given game, and in many games they don't hit half of them like Allen did today. No QB doesn't leave plays on the field. Allen showed tremendous growth against Bill B and against cover 0 and cover 1 blitzes, to the point where this game was a fundamental step in his development - the first time he's ever succeeded with blitz beaters, with dagger plays to boot like the Brown TD, against an elite defense. The out to Cole on the last drive was another throw that had me smiling until after the game ended. This game makes Allen better long term, and it makes Houston that much more beatable. It sucks that we aren't ready to take down the 13-3 Patriots quite yet, but if we needed to win week 17, we are an 11-5 Bills team with 90 mil in cap, 9 draft picks, and a QB going into his third season that is 5x the QB he was this time last season. If you wouldn't have signed up for this knowingly back in August, you were a moron. Go Bills.
  17. They won't because they want to lock up the 3 seed. If they ever had to play KC they'd prefer to do it at home.
  18. The Texans' defense is far closer to that of Miami and Dallas than it is to NE, PIT, and BAL. It's worse than Denver's. (Just talking about our last 6 weeks of football) We're going to score more than 17 points. This stretch was always going to be brutal for the offense, it is brutal for ANY offense, and it will make them a better offense come wild card weekend.
  19. This game convinced me that we are going to walk all over Houston and then give Baltimore a really tough game.
  20. Josh's development in beating an elite defense's cover 1 or cover 0 blitzes for the first time in his career, several times today, is far more important to this franchise than the L on the schedule. This team is beating Houston and then scaring the ***** out of Baltimore, and they're going to take the AFCE next season.
  21. Sabres game should hopefully be over by 3:30, as long as you don't live too far from the arena you should be good.
  22. Forget about the bye dude - hosting Pittsburgh would be so much better than traveling to Houston. The bold is silly. IF that were to happen it'd be the biggest thing to happen to the Bills since their last super bowl appearance.
  23. Somehow the part about Flutie recanting his statement never makes it into the retelling by bills fans. This is the first I've heard of that.
  24. Ben was horrendous in weeks 1 and 2 before his injury and looks as in shape as Daboll is. We still would have won the game.
  25. Love it. My ideal uniform split would be Home: wear blue on white six times, white on white throwbacks twice (maybe once against a team like NE with a cool throwback jersey of their own like the red ones) Road: wear white on blue 4 times, white on white 4 times With permanent white facemasks
