Apologize for the animosity here, but ***** dirty Gregg Williams and ***** his dirty players for going after Josh's knees in NY last year.

I think in a vacuum I'd prefer Sam to Josh too, as far as the consistency of their passing on tape goes. But I wouldn't make the trade straight up, because if you squint past the "Josh is inaccurate" call that comes from people who've seen 2 NFL games from him so far, and just remember everyone dogging him in that draft cycle, you'll actually notice a few compelling things: -When his mechanics are good, he's as accurate as any NFL QB ever needs to be, and accuracy leaves his list of issues to work on -Citing his deep ball in response to this is pointless - it's another mechanics issue, he was too afraid after NE to throw the ball with proper trajectory and loft, and would opt to keep it on a frozen rope which requires accuracy that no QB has in that range, because the worst case scenario is an overthrow, and he already showed in his deep ball attempts from Denver through the wild card game that he's ready to move past that mentally, hitting on several, not missing on many if any, and only having incompletions because guys like Duke weren't pulling them in -he was always going to be a huge work in progress, still has a laundry list of things to work on, but that list has slowly gotten shorter, including his improvements in key impact areas like 3rd and long, or in the red zone, he was excellent in each condition -coming from small Wyoming crowds/games to NFL playoff games on the road in 1.5 years is crazy, and the star-struckness he's shown will only decrease with experience (what people don't remember is how good he was in Qs 1-3 in Houston, before the line stopped blocking) I won't pretend to understand Darnold on this level, because I haven't watched more than ~6 of his games. But Josh isn't a stagnant "bad QB," he's a still-not-good QB that always had a long development arc, and has made substantial jumps on that arc in short times, which we expect to continue, while feeding us enticing moments along the way like -sheer will plays that remind people of the best of Jim Kelly, particularly on 3rd and 4th downs in critical moments -dazzling physical skills, both running and with his arm (across his body to Cole vs Denver, the throw from his end zone in Dallas, the jukes of DEs against the NYG (which led to an equally impressive first down to Knox) and Denver, plays that 98% of all NFL QBs over the last 20 years are physically incapable of making) -learning from his mistakes - after the 3 pick shitshow in NE, only one NFL player accounted for more total TDs, and that guy won MVP, meanwhile Josh only threw 3 more picks the entire season, or 12 games -wins, a bunch of them 4th quarter comebacks, and the best season in the last 20 years. I'm not interested in a tradeoff even if Darnold's raw film is currently more impressive on the whole than Josh's. I'm too interested to see where this story goes. The perspective that I see from other fan bases (definitely not accusing you of doing this, you're not) that Josh is simply some trashy QB they aren't interested has always been good for a laugh.

He beat the 90 mil dead cap Bills by 4 points, and then barely scraped a one score victory against our 2nd and 3rd stringers, with essentially zero of our first stringers playing,and certainly nobody CARING. That doesn't really make me fear Sam Darnold haha and sheds some light on how disingenuous it is to say he's "undefeated in Buffalo" Now, I do like Sam Darnold as a QB and a person. But the Jets are not scary right now. That could change, especially given your new GM seems to know what he's doing.

While I understand your prediction, I do genuinely believe it is wrong. Friendly avatar bet? Winner picks an embarrassing avatar for the loser? Maybe the terms could be something like, if the season happens, and half or more games have half or more attendance, I win. Or something. Or not, your call. I just feel equally strongly that it's happening and there will be fans, though maybe not full capacity each week.

This would make sense if the league started tomorrow. This is still 130 days away though, with contingency plans. That said, we are having this season with fans in attendance.

I honestly don't like football homestands. In hockey it's one thing, where they only last a week or two. I do not want the Bills getting cozy for a month and then having to go make that up out west later

Remember the meaningless season finale last year? From then until now is how long we have to wait. It seems like both yesterday and a lifetime ago. This game will happen and it will be glorious.

I can feel it just looking at this slate of games - I will remember it forever, as they will bring us to our first ever super bowl victory.

You can lay out this exact same kind of argument for the Sabres every year. It's a very frustrating place to be in. Relentless homers/optimists will drive you up a wall and are technically right in their estimation of possibilities, but you know deep in your heart that the chances of everything coming to gether are miniscule. He was copying a comment from the Jet forum. Some fan apparently paid attention to the actual game as it was going on.

I'd also agree that throw should be low, Beasley had his feet planted and had 3 defenders converging within 6 yards of him or so. Sit him down there. In no world should a pass that is off the mark by the length of a forearm be blamed for it ending up a pick 15 feet away like it was at the time. NFL QBs miss throws by a foot all the time and most of the time (including with Cole) those misses are unnoticed, because receivers are professionals too. Josh's turnovers that game really were flukes. That batted pass INT might have been the only batted pass he threw all year. (Not literally, but close to it). Meanwhile, Darnold had like 6 of them batted down in that game, all falling harmlessly to the turf. The other INT, which Cole volleyed up to Mosely who was about 10 feet away, was also incredibly fluky. The Jets couldn't win that game despite extraordinary luck themselves, forget about a MLB missing a quarter. Josh turned the ball over 13 times last season. A third of his total turnover production came in one game on fluke plays versus the Jets, and they still couldn't win. They ***** suck, their coach ***** sucks, their QB is promising but timid right now and will not be able to handle our defense, just like he couldn't last season, and they still don't have an offensive line or WRs, or presence on the outsides of their defense. Their unnoteworthy fanbase's spewing of irrational garbage doesn't even deserve our glance I mean really. outside of that game, Josh had 9 turnovers in 15 games. Sam had 16 in 12. This shows that it was luck, and reversion took place as the course of the season played out, and ours went in a positive direction while theirs tanked. the Jests were the lucky ones that Sunday, and still couldn't manage to pull out the game, at home. They seriously ***** suck and are pathetic

Good. My most recent game experience (a rare treat for me as I haven't lived in WNY in years) was completely wrecked by the drunken slobs around us.
