If Chiefs win on Sat. does Bills/Pats game matter (much)?

Why are so many bills fans interested in throwing the Pats game lol -
Updated scenario for scheduling to be voted on Friday

If KC loses, and we beat NE, we would finish above them even if we had lost to cinci -
True, I don't mean that it's an absolute predictor, but it jives with the eye test and other stats in suggesting our defense can take a few drives to get warmed up and adjusted. Combined with other things, I'm just not willing to let the idea that the Bengals would definitely win, let alone definitely blow us out, slide

What time is the meeting? -
He does win, but I think the Bills Chiefs playoff game changed the perspective of a lot of teams. "Can our guy win that game? I don't think so, so why pay him 250 mil?"

Cinci could have avoided this by coming into the Bills game with the same number of losses as the Bills, but they had more -
this is a silly degree of hyperbole. I get that I'm not going to get far with that claim among Bills fans, but that's because I am discussing it with other Bills fans, not with people being objective The dude very clearly can design some wicked and advanced offensive schemes. Plenty of experts, far smarter than you and I, have dissected this all year. That doesn't mean he's a perfect coach right now. But he has an elite football mind, which is unteachable, and can hone the other stuff given time like anyone else can. Which is why I think we should be happy if they fire him, because the next guy they hire, barring Payton, is probably going to be worse at scheming and hardly better at anything else. They brought a gameplan into the snow that Buffalo coaches were not expecting and were slow to adjust to, and it took a ridiculously stupendous game from Allen to win by 3. The Bills and their coaches looked silly a lot of the game - both on defense, where fundamentals lapsed (tackling) and 3rd quarter adjustments (a way any neutral observer agrees is a reasonable way for fans to guess at coaching performance that day) obliterated us. This is something we could have all happily agreed upon when it happened. But in the context of this discussion, it's suddenly "just a cliche." Dorsey called a helluva first half and last two drives, but other than that, bad challenges, sloppy tackling, poor defensive scheme adjustments, and boneheaded penalties (team unfocused) dominated the game, and that is what any layman can call "coaching" without being ribbed as an unintelligent observer We all agree that Allen saves this team's ass way too much in any other conversation or context, well that's what happened here too

Halftime adjustments, their D figured us out and despite hitting the red zone we could not finish any drives in half 2. Allen walked up and down the field yes, he bails us out from time to time. Miami executed better than we did and came away with the win. I'm willing to pass on that game if people really want to dig their heels in, because I'm not saying that the staff is BETTER than ours, but I think that team built itself for years to catch up to us and that preparation showed. They will not be an existential threat to us as long as allen is here, and our coaches are absolutely capable of swinging the pendulum back at them. In the second game I don't think there's any pushback to the idea that they out-coached us, and that superman Allen saved the day. They won, forced a turnover in a critical area, and bowed up to force red zone stops at key times in the game. The bills choked all their key moments in that game. So yes, that's generally how I qualify executing

The first one is a bit more hand-waivy than the second game, which I think was clear from an Xs and Os standpoint that the Bills won because josh allen wanted them to badly enough and ONLY for that reason. But their team was ready to play us in week 3, executed better than we did. Yes we walked up and down the field, but their red zone D stymied our red zone O in the second half. If the Bills replaced josh allen with a Tua level QB, they would lose worse in game 3 than they did, and would have lost handily a couple weeks ago. This isn't because our staff blows chunks, they are good. But Miami's coaches were excellent against us this year and had Tua not had injury issues (yes I understand the coach's role in these) the Dolphins would probably have won 11 or 12 games They wouldn't have won the east tho

I don't think this would be smart, I think McDaniel is a good coach. I think he outcoached our staff (a very good staff) in both games.

Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.

I think I saw Allbright walk this back a bit -
I was worried to see the ambulance, but optimistic that it was a standard precautionary thing we see for neck injuries, that usually turn out to be just caution Then the camera showed Josh Allen in a panic that you don't see on someone except for on some of the worst days of your life That will be seared in my brain forever Keep fighting like hell Damar

1/2/23 Week 17 Gameday Bills @ Bengals Pregame Thread

This is just a reality of scripted drives. Chicago also scored a TD on drive 1 against Detroit and then never again, just like against us -

What is an explanation for the discrepancy between the 4 seed and the 3 seed? Just small sample size? -

Buffalo News analysis of Tremaine Edmunds this season
Franco_92 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Philosophically there is something to this I love our D and the players on it. When the playoffs hit and Mahomes (or Allen) are locked in, the defense just doesn't appear to matter. I watch Philly's offensive line and wonder why we shouldn't go all in on doing something like that, at the expense of almost anything.
