  1. Independent of the specifics of this case/his client, it was amazing how classless and unprofessional he was
  2. Can we get a comprehensive list of the guys who did this? I'd love to make some calls to WGR and get on twitter. These guys are smug, condescending #######s most of the time and I don't want them to get away with this
  3. AJAB
  4. I have a pretty funny folder going on my home PC of tweets with 100s of thousands of likes/interactions containing blatant, often malicious lies from various bluecheck accounts, prominent papers and journalists etc. Whose quiet updates/corrections are tweeted later and receive audiences 2+ orders of magnitude smaller in size. Once the initial damage is done it will never come close to being fully reversed, and a large chunk of our population is lobotomized because of this and countless other behaviors like it
  5. I don't think the gap between the Jets and Fins should be that big
  6. 127 days? By my quick math that means that in 2 Thursdays from now we are exactly halfway between the last bills game and the next one
  7. Not necessarily, the bye no longer has to follow gsm3s in Europe.
  8. I'd love to hear a better idea than Play 4 games against an afc division that rotates each year, 2 against your own, 4 against an nfc division that rotates each year, and play 2 games against the other 2 afc divisions, against the team that matched up with you in the standings last year. This is incredibly reasonable and logical. And requires the possibility (which only happens if you keep finishing in the same spot as another team year after year, which is fairly rare unless you are both always great or terrible) of 3 games in a row in one stadium, but is impossible to do more than that, with any attempt to change this fact making it impossible to play half these games at home and half on the road (I've tried to fix this manually and it's not possible unless you want 7 home games half the years) I promise you that anything you could come up with would have significantly bigger problems and make less sense as far as structuring a compelling schedule goes.
  9. We should really just sticky the explanation for this, because it gets asked on this forum every single day It is a necessary manifestation of a rotating schedule that cycles through the AFC divisions and matches seeds of the remaining teams for the extra games. If you want to do a schedule this way, you necessarily have to have the possibility of games between opponents rotating like this (we will play KC in Buffalo in 2024, 2025, and 2026 if we continue to finish in the same position in our division) If you tried to switch this, suddenly it would not be possible to play 8 home games and 8 road games (plus the 17th game rotating in venue), some teams would get more home games than others within conference We played Pittsburgh at home 3 years in a row too but nobody cared because we benefited from it
  10. The guy who literally makes the schedule said they will max out or come close to maxing out their allowed prime time games lol Why even pull something like this out of your ass, what's the point
  11. You think he will decrease his red zone touchdowns to stay within a range he has barely hit the last 3 years (and missed last year)? Allen has 37, 36 and 35 passing TDs the last 3 years
  12. I agree it's hard. Beat all the teams without elite qbs except one, and then split the elite qbs and you have 5-3. And I believe they can do better too
  13. You would take 3-5? I want 5-3 at least. We have an elite qb who plays better on the road than at home
  14. Minor quibble with OP. "Barely squeaking by" the Dolphins in that home game to basically lock the division was not a bad thing. The dolphins are good and threw everything they had at us. That game was awesome and an outlier to the crummier wins to end the season (if there is such a thing as a crummy win)
  15. I like offense
  16. The bills also have a very easy home schedule
  17. The NFC east was considered a complete joke before the season, i remember jokes about it being the worst division in decades, and it wound up winning 4 playoff games and having at least one team present in 6 of the 7 NFC playoff games/SB
  18. This is true and the Jets could have the pieces to reinvigorate him. But it's hard to check back into something you spent a year half checked out of. And there is a lot of space between his level last year and that which Allen is capable of hitting. The Jets and Fins have taken swings they absolutely should have, but I wouldn't trade places with either of them this year let alone for the next 10
  19. True but disingenuous. He would have placed 300th in mvp voting in the year that is most relevant in the discussion of a 40 year old - last year. He was bad to mediocre for the vast majority of that season. I watched probably 7 packers games and it was a miserable experience
  20. But they don't generally want that game to be the best possible game on the SB winner's schedule. Detroit would be a fun game CBS will refuse to relinquish one of KC/BUF or KC/CIN, the league likes to put the other ones towards at least the middle of the season
  21. Not if he was toast last season
  22. I know I'm just some guy that you have no reason to trust, but I agree with this, and the cop friend I mentioned let me know it happened, so I at least know that that detail is true
  23. Well it was probably someone on the premises then, or Josh himself or Britt herself. I didn't poke that far, he implied someone was smashing things in anger and there was a lot of shouting. He doesn't care about football so he wasn't investigative, but figured I'd be interested in it
